Not bad for price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Finally got my ADT smartthings hub (this only works with ADT's version) now that it was on sale. This is running next to my furnace. Eventually I'd like to get it wired into the furnace electrical as it has an autokill function if it detects a leak (there's a module card with an electrical lead) but it works fine without it.

Smart Features are Misleading

My only issue is that the smart features are misleading. In order for you to use the smart feature, you must 1st have a paid account with ADT Security. But you don't realize this until after you purchase the product...BUMMER!!....Luckily I can still use the device as a regular carbon monoxide detector, without activating the smart features.

They usually shouldn’t make sound due to not having CO in the house. I didn’t attach to the hub but it seems by testing to be working properly. I trust the company as they make amazing products. I have this in most rooms in the house.

Safety first

I would advise you do have to use with adt security system to have monitored . I do have that also so it is a plus!

Nice and cheap

Has pros and cons

Cant use without a hub, sold seperately. Smarthings starter kit has hub and also home monitoring devices. Pros are that it will notify you when u are away from home as well as at home if carbon monoxide is detected.
