Pretty solid option! I got mine for extra storage for my video projects, and so far it seems to be fast enough to edit off of (I shoot with an A7s3, 10 bit, 4k). The transfer speed is insane compared to the HDDs I was using. Would recommend!

When we bought our PS5 disc console, we quickly learned that we would need to expand the internal memory as the games that we have actually get saved to the console itself. Didn’t know that. The internal memory goes quick! This external memory works well and is just a quick USB that we could easily plug in on the backside of the console. Works well!

I HAVE BOUGHT ABOUT 6 OF THESE AND THEY PERFORMED WELL...TRANSFER SPEED WAS TYPICALLY 300MBS WHICH IS ABOUT 8 TIMES FASTER THAN I WAS GETTING ON OTHER INFERIOR DEVICES AND IT SAVED ME MUCH TRANSFER VIDEO TIME.

Exactly what I needed for editing 4k video. It's fast and it's small - it's not going to become a primary storage drive for large video projects at only 1TB, but it works great as a spot to park both a Final Cut Pro X library as well as working media for an active project. Once the project is delivered I tend to dump the data to a slower drive for archiving and wipe this one. Works great!

After reformatting for Mac APFS it works like a dream.

The T7 1TB SSD is fast and works great for holding my photos and videos. We have several computers and this way each computer can have access to the original photo etc. without making copies of copies which leads to poorer photos each time it is copied. It is connected to my laptop most all the time, but can easily be removed and connected to another as there is no setup!
