This is the second Samsung SSD I have purchased (first one was a 500GB for my wife), and it meets all of my expectations. Small size makes it super easy to take anywhere. Data transfer is lightning fast. Only one cable (USB-C to USB-C) makes connecting a snap. I am very pleased with this product, and give it my full recommendation.

Fantastic small 2TB external SSD Drive, I have so many tv shows and movies downloaded on here and it’s great to carry them wherever I go. The speed is super fast and I know people complain how hot it can get but I only noticed that while transferring my files from my PC to the drive. But it hasn’t got hot while it’s plugged into my tv watching movies and TV shows. I do check it once in a while to make sure and it’s nice and cool

I’m a wedding/social media marketing videographer and I always need external SSD’s to back up all of my footage and run my projects on. I always go with these guys, absolutely love them. The one thing I would keep in mind is you need to make sure they are formatted correctly for the type of computer you are using them for, (Mac/Windows). But that process is also very simple.

Big things come in little packages. Needed a decent portable storage and this works perfectly.

Great to have this backup, which is so small / portable. I have had good experiences with Best Buy and this external SSD. I have purchased several for work, to hold all of my editing projects. SSD's just cost more, but am assuming that the price will come down on this. I have had a 2 HDD's give up the ghost recently. That 'death rattle' sound of moving parts clinking against each other is ominous and enough for me to replace all of my externals, not recalling how old they were. It is worth the money now for me, as I spent days trying to recover, alas unsuccessfully.

One of the best external drives to have for shooting and editing project. Ultra fast read and write times. Very durable and transportable.

After decades of using large platter disk external hard drives for back up this Samsung device is a real joy. It is just slightly larger and thicker than a credit card and could easily fit into a spacious wallet. I like that it comes with USB-C to USB-C for my MacBook as well as USB-C to USB-A cables for my PC. The drive is super fast. I reformatted it with 2 partitions with disk utility on my MacBook. I use one for Time Machine back up and the second for file sharing.

this little hard drive the transfer from mu computer was at 650mg per minute, i was able to store hundreds of movies on it and it hook right up to my Samsung 4k player with no problem

Great secondary storage for those who didn't get enough in their laptop and can't add more because it's soldered. I have a 1TB drive in my Macbook Pro and I was running out of space because of how large my photo library has become since I got a full frame camera and have been storing raws and using Lightroom (DMGs are stupid big.) I have also have several Steam games stored on it and they run just fine. I've benchmarked the drive and it consistently gives me ~850MB/s reads and writes excluding file system overhead, so it's likely saturating the 10Gbps USB 3.1 bus on my laptop. I was able to copy my ~380GB photo library in under 10 minutes. All in all, it's a pretty good deal if you get it while it's on sale like I did for $140. With that said, always remember to keep a backup. I just rolled it into my Time Machine (Apple,) backup to my external 8TB rotational media drive for redundancy because devices can and do fail.

This is a great product! It's 10 times faster than my old hard drive external storage. It performs even better then I expected. The size makes it very easy to carry all my important data with me. It's cheaper to buy a second one as a back up and replace my cloud storage. No more internet or tech issues with paid cloud storage. Highly recommend this product!
