This drive is awesome! I'm using it for a super fast connection to my Mac Studio as a storage drive for my Logic Pro sessions. As a music producer and Christian Music Artist, I need FAST and this drive delivers! I connect it to one of the Thunderbolt 4 ports and there are no hiccups in data transfer as I'm working on my music. I am going to be ordering another one for my on-stage setup :) It is pricey if you don't get it on sale, so when it goes on sale, SNAG IT!!

Very rugged and reliable SS (solid state) 2 Terabyte external drive. Comes with 2 USB cables for compatibility with any PC or Apple. USB connection on the Samsung SS Drive is a C type connector, which can be inserted in either of the two orientations (unlike USB-A). On Wikipedia you can see that turning a C connector 180 degrees, that the same pins connect to the drive or PC either way. Really genius. So this drive comes with a male USB-C on one side and a male USB-C on the other for most all Apple laptops and desktops. It also comes with a second cable which is USB-C for the SS drive side and a male USB-A or type A connector for mostly Windows PCs, like my Dell XPS, which has mostly type A female receptacles on front. Because type A only works in one orientation there is a USB symbol on only one side of the connector which usually faced up or on verticale slots the USB mark on the connector head goes to the right. A USB-C type has no USB symbol on it, indicating either orientation is correct. This drive RUNS OFF OF POWER FROM THE USB CABLE SO THERE IS NO OTHER POWER CABLES FOR THE SS DRIVE, Either of the USB cables described has more than enough power to run the drive extremely fast.

For many years, I had been using HDD type hard drives. I wanted a drive that was not as fragile and could also data transfer quicker as I was working with 4K video. This one had the best reviews at the time and right of out the box I absolutely love it and don't see my self ever going back to an HDD type. I had one of those hindsight is twenty twenty moments that I should have switched a long time ago. The design is slim as expected and the data transfer far out paces the traditional disc style.

This little guy does it all! I bought it to edit 4k video on my MacMini, but then realized I can use it to shoot directly to! It's crazy fast and reliable.

I use Samsung T7 four TB external hard drives to capture uncompressed 4k video & as my MacBook Pro Time Machine backup. Excellent speed & durability as well as a good price.

I only use it in my vehicle to capture video. It has held up well with being next to keys and other items in a central storage area, but the cable should be redesigned in my opinion, because the bend inside the storage area has caused it to expose the metal braid around the connector over the last two years. The metal was exposed before the two-year mark and the storage unit is positioned and held in place with a band, but the connector goes out at a 45-degree angle up and then the cable needs to come back down and wrap around the storage area to make it back to the top of the unit. It is robust and deals with a lot of bouncing even on trail rides and such, so I would buy it again.

Excellent drive. Consistent speed in a small durable package. Great for on the go projects (photography, video, music, etc) that have large file sizes. Just throw one or two in your bag and you’re good to go.

I don't care about the water resistant case but it's a nice drive overall. It's a good size, not too big to be awkward and not so small that it's easy to lose. It really DOES hit read speeds of 1050MB/sec with the right USB port.
