Transfer speeds are as fast as advertised. It is quite durable as well, mine has been dropped and banged around and it's still looks and functions properly.

This has been by far my fastest and most reliable external hard drive yet! I'm a photographer and it's so important to have something that's both when working with memories and Lightroom. Worth every penny!

I recently purchased the Samsung T7 Shield 2TB External USB 3.2 Gen 2 Rugged SSD IP65 Water Resistant for use as a storage device for my Tesla dashcam. While I ultimately returned the device because it was not suitable for this specific purpose, I did find it to be an excellent product overall.
The T7 Shield is very rugged and durable, with an IP65 water-resistant rating that makes it ideal for use in outdoor environments or other harsh conditions. The 2TB storage capacity is also impressive, providing ample space for storing large files such as high-quality video recordings.
Although I did not end up using the T7 Shield for very long, due to its incompatibility with my Tesla dashcam, I found it to be very easy to set up and use. The transfer speeds were very fast, allowing me to quickly move files between my devices and the external SSD.
Overall, I would definitely recommend the Samsung T7 Shield 2TB External USB 3.2 Gen 2 Rugged SSD IP65 Water Resistant to anyone in need of a durable and high-capacity storage device. While it didn't work for my specific needs, it worked great for the little time I used it and I have no doubts about its overall quality and performance.

The Samsung T7 Shield 2TB External USB is a great addition to my home network. It's very light, small, and I keep it next to my router, where i have it attached to my router's USB port. I can access the T7 through my home computer, my Nvidia Shield TV or any other device you want connected to your network. I keep movies, photos and other files needed to share with within in network. Works well for my needs.

My third purchase of a Samsung T7 Shield, for office, travel or home use. Easy setup, quick read/write, and great storage for the price. Never had an issue with any Samsung SSDs, my oldest is almost 15 years old.

Had it for just over a year. For the price it appears durable and fast. Comes with both a USB-C to USB-C cord and an USB-A to USB-C cord.
Would like to see one with even more capacity than 4TB

Took a while to get the right USB hub for this (USB3.2), but once I got it to work, it was so fast and easy to use! I'm the last person to talk to when it comes to techy things so my friend helped me with this. Even he said the downloading time was insanely fast. So im content :3 did the job, and apparently very well

I am not that techy of a person but this was still super easy to use and understand. It has a great feel to it, and the sort of rubbery case it has on it makes it really hard for it to slip or fall of a desk.
It comes with both USB type A (the normal one) and USB-C, which makes it very versatile for different uses

This drive has a good high-quality feel to it, like it would be durable enough for taking along in a backpack with an iPad. It’s fast, quiet, and I expect it to last a long time. As for the software that comes with it then my advice is don’t bother if you’re using mac devices. Just erase and format the drive for Mac and it’ll work great. I’m happy.
