Should’ve bought one of these a long time ago. Backed up iPad‘s, iPhone‘s iMac all of our pictures. Documents are portable and transferable with these. One of my best investments.

I feel better knowing that I have a good back up in case of a computer hard drive failing.
This system has more memory than I will ever need more than likely.
Better to be safe than sorry.

I used the Samsung T9 Portable SSD for a while, and while the software was smooth and clean on my laptop, I ran into a major issue with the security features. After setting a password, I wasn’t able to reset it when I needed to, which resulted in me being locked out of the drive completely. This was incredibly frustrating, and it’s something to be aware of if you’re considering adding a password for security.
While the drive itself performed well in terms of speed and storage, I’d recommend being cautious with the password security feature. My advice would be to write down your password and store it securely somewhere, as relying on memory alone could leave you locked out with no way to access your data.
While it’s great to hear that you’re loving the performance of your T9 SSD, I’m very sorry to hear of the difficulties you experienced with resetting your password.
Resetting the password for your Samsung T9 SSD can be done using the Samsung Portable SSD software. Here are the steps you can follow:
Download and install the latest version of the Samsung Portable SSD Software (https://semiconductor.samsung.com/consumer-storage/support/tools/#portablessdsoftware)
Connect your T9 SSD to your computer using the provided USB cable. Open the Samsung Portable SSD Software: Launch the software and select your T9 SSD from the list of connected devices.
Reset Password: Look for the "Security" or "Password Management" section within the software. You should find an option to reset or remove the password. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.

This works well for a 2nd drive. I installed software on it and run the software off of the drive. It runs so fast that I can't tell that its an external drive. I have music production software, specifically native instruments, and all of my samples are stored on this drive. It works great! I can also put a password on it so no one else can use it.
