registered my dishwasher and got an email saying that someone would be contacting me for a demo - that never happened. I called about an electronic error code and the customer service rep called me at home and we got it worked out but I think that the rack is just not fitting properly so am still watching it. The unit barely fits widthwise into my opening and is about 2 inches short???, one of the leveling feet doesn’t stay up so I can’t raise the unit. Customer service cant’ decide whether that’s covered under warranty and has given me the run-around and that issue is still pending. What I've noticed with customer service is that everyone is super sweet but passes me along never really solving my problem or providing me with complete information. It seems like they believe if they just keep saying that they provide excellent customer service that the majority of people (aka those without problems who don’t call ) will feel really good about doing business with them. Samsung products are generally very good (my washer is 2 yrs old and NO Problems) . In comparison - I bought a floor model Whirlpool Fridge and the ice dispenser flap wasn’t closing completely. I called them, they sent someone out and I haven’t had any problems the past couple years. It one phone call and less than a week and I was all set. I’ve had multiple calls, emails and the run-around with Samsung – and what’s really ironic is that they call me an ELITE Customer!!!! The dishwasher cleans well and while the third rack seemed really cool it takes up enough space that I can’t have dinner dishes in the bottom rack and drinking glasses in the middle rack – so I have to eat on lunch plates and drink from mugs LOL. They probably should’ve thought of this when they made the whole unit about 2 inches shorter than average.

I bought this dishwasher and had high hopes. I have now owned it for 8 months and want a new one. I have had service out to fix it for assorted issues 3 times and the last time did not resolve the problem. The first time was a leak from an improper install - from a professional, no less. The second was a bad sensor. The third call was for leaking from the bottom of the front door. The same tech has come every time and has said these dishwashers keep him busy. The third issue of leaking from the bottom of the door is still not fixed. The machine ran fine for the few minutes of testing, but no sooner did I run it with dishes inside, it started leaking again. I am extremely disappointed in this appliance and want a new one! You would think after putting nearly $1000 into a dishwasher, it would be better quality. Maybe Samsung should stop trying to make all things and focus on a few in order to maintain quality. I wish I had never bought this appliance.

The quality of this dishwasher is questionable as it broke within 10 days of being installed. We contacted Best Buy who sent out a Geek Squad technician to check into it. He said the problem was not uncommon in this model. The door did not latch securely and the vibration of the top rack would cause the door to unlatch and the dishwasher would stop running. Fortunately, Best Buy was willing to replace the dishwasher and the new one has been good so far, although we've only had the new one for a few days.

I really want to like this dishwasher as it goes with the suite of appliances I purchased-poor dry cycle, hard to load , 3 + hours to wash and some items not clean--what is it doing??!! I loved my maytag that was 16 years old and accommodated all of my dishes and dried everything well in half the time. I do love the third rack, wineglass rack and it is so very quiet . Just wish you could load items and that they were stable -all of the main racks are not really solid-I really need to be careful when pulling them in and out.:(

Great Dishwasher With A Few Annoying Wrinkles

On the whole this dishwasher seems to be pretty good, other than a couple of occasions where a few dishes came out with some food still stuck the dishes seem to be coming out very clean. Got this one as an open box display model straight out of the store at half price. So was great value and also avoided having to wait for it to ship.
Pros:
1) Larger than our previous Bosch
2) 3rd upper tray is useful for kitchen utensils
3) Like the controls
4) Attractive
5) Very very quiet
Cons:
1) Like others have said the middle rack sometimes doesn't want to go all the way back in.
2) When rack doesn't go back fully door doesn't want to shut
3) Have had the door pop open once but without water leakage. Seems like door should have a stronger latch.
4) Niggle is that in the silverware baskets the holes are a bit small for some of our items. Although the grids flip open they soon got removed to make it easier.
5) Occasionally the bottom rack pops off the tracks when you push it back in.
Regarding the problem closing the middle rack. Once you are used to it you can tell when it doesn't quite go back all the way and the easy fix is to pull it all the way out and then continue to tug while wiggling it. You will feel it pull out a tad further and now the rack slides all the way back to where it should go very easily. It seems the tracks get a little out of sync and need to be "reset".

This dishwasher is very sleek and stylish and makes my kitchen look updated. I love the blue back light behind the handle when the unit is on. It has many more loading options than my previous dishwasher and I love the top rack where I can put extra utensils. I love the Waterwall technology, the dishes come out sparkling clean and the unit is very quiet. I also love the recessed handle, saves many bumps and bruises.

This unit was good-looking and extremely Quiet and even did a good job washing the dishes... However, it leaked out the front seal. First a service Technician came out and said we needed a new unit, second unit was installed and after 3-Days, it leaked as well. I wasn't willing to try a 3rd time so we swapped for the Bosch. The Bosch hasn't leaked at all but I must admit, it isn't as quiet.

After having a Bosch for 15 years, this is a huge disappointment. It doesn't clean dishes in the corners (which is supposed to be the point of the Waterwall, surely?), and it's extremely slow.
Good news is it's quiet and looks elegant. Sadly an elegant appliance that doesn't do it's job is a daily disappointment.
Finally, it broke, with some kind of leak. Waiting to see what the repair experience is like. So far, it's a couple of very long waits on the phone.

Overall the cleaning quality of the washer is great; my only comment is that the handle could feel a little more sturdy to the touch for something this expensive. It just feels like you're squeezing a piece of warm plastic and it doesn't give you the tactile feedback of a handle that is meant to be opened daily. Otherwise, excellent machine. No leaks or hiccups yet.

Leaks like crazy, door wouldn't shut and setting show error, tried two different ones and even the repair man said they had a lot of problems with them. For the price it should be top of the line bet it is worst the the bottom of the line. i am a big fan of everything Samsung, everything else in my kitchen is Samsung and i love them a lot. I really wanted this too work as well but didn't. It isn't even worth 20 dollars. The leaking was the worst. other reviews say the same. Tried everything to fix it even what was said on other reviews and didn't work, Bought a Bosch for same price and love it.

It is certainly roomy and has an interesting washing pattern. We had a problem with utensils not cleaning properly. Using the 'sanitize' mode has helped this.

My previous dishwasher was 22 years old, and I tried not to start it before bedtime as you needed to turn up the volume on the television while it was running. This dishwasher has a large capacity for dishes, and it is nice to be able to wash wine glasses without them being tossed around, and it is very quiet. I love the third rack for the knives and unusual shaped utensils. It does a very good job cleaning the dishes, glasses, and silverware.

The dishes are clean after it runs but it doesn't dry well at all. If you use JetDry then it is better but if you don't you get a mildew smell in the washer. I would not buy this washer again.

quiet, nice looking dishwasher, have had a few times where dishes still had stuck on food, but did let sit for a long time before started cycle. Glasses are great! Does say to pour small amount of detergent outside of dispenser for best results. May try liquid after done with finish tabs. hold a ton of dishes and dries well.

I have 4 Samsung T.V.'s of 50" or larger and a samsung refrigerator and I love each and every one of them. This dishwasher is another story. Like a lot of other people, I had the leaking issue. The dishwasher flashed an error, and would continually run, even after powering off. The only way to get it to stop running was to throw the breaker that it was on. The dishwasher will run when not properly closed. This is a problem, because the middle shelf is faulty so its pretty hard to properly closed. This causes water to condense on the control panel, and it stops running midway through the wash. The dishwasher also doesn't clean. When it did complete an entire cycle, the dishes came out dirty. We did not realize how badly it cleaned until replacing it with an LG of similar cost, which cleaned much better. I cannot see how Samsung released this product, its almost like they didn't test it at all.

Waited several months to write this review. I saw the negative reviews, but made the purchase anyway. This is an awesome dishwasher.....when it completes a cycle! Quiet, cleans well, everything Samsung says it will do. The thing does not finish a cycle, keeps stopping before complete, the timer on the top is flashing the time remaining, no error codes are flashing. I open and shut it (and cross my fingers) and sometimes it works. I have read that Samsung made some software upgrades that addressed this issue in all units made after the first week of October, mine was made in September. So I don't know if its fixed or not.

This dishwasher cleans far better than my old dishwasher. There were some mixed reviews online, so I thought I would try to address the most common.
1. These have a lot of packaging inside of them to protect the moving parts, make sure all packaging is out of the back of the unit (on each rack) and the tape holding down the Waterwall deflector.
2. Condensation dry is necessary for Energy Star ratings. But no dishwashers dry Tupperware (because they don't retain heat) or anything dishes with a lip that will retain water. A few tips:
- Use a rinse aid (Jet-Dry, Finish, etc)
- Use the Dry+ feature
- Open the door a crack and shake off any water stuck in a lip or
on Tupperware
3. In my experience, the door does not just "pop open". The only way this seems possible is if the middle rack is not all the way up or all the way down (i.e. sideways). It seems like users are forcing the dishwasher closed to get it to start in this situation. If it doesn't close with normal force, there's probably a reason why (like the middle rack)

Good machine for new technology, I'm sure down the line though the splash bar will need replacing, just like any appliances if there's a warranty, buy it.samsungs warranty costs 10 times more after the 1 yr manufacturer is up.
