Thank you for purchasing the Samsung SWA-8500S Wireless Rear Speaker Kit. I am very sorry for any confusion about the wireless description.
Often times, customers have trouble hiding and running speaker wires from the front of the room (where their soundbar is) to the back of their room (where they have their rear speakers). The SWA-8500S Kit eliminates that hassle. Connect the SWA-8500S rear speakers to its wireless module and place these three in the back of your room. One wire is required to connect each rear speaker to the wireless module. Then plug in the power cable to the module. The “wireless” convenience is in connecting your soundbar and any other speakers at the front of the room to the rear speakers – this can now be done via Wi-Fi through the wireless module, eliminating any clutter of long wires running the length of your room.
…and gain access to easy warranty support, convenient opt-in to special promos & offers, faster troubleshooting & service, and quick notification of system updates.

I don't know if it's just that this one is a lemon but every few seconds the link light will blink and my surround sound will cut out. It drives me crazy. I finally stopped using it for months because of this and decided to pull it out and try again after moving, just for it to happen again. I don't understand. I've tried Optical, HDMI and BT on the soundbar to see if that would matter, but it does not. Would not recommend.

I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with your Samsung Wireless Rear Loudspeakers.
As for the random disconnection between Soundbar and subwoofer, placement of the devices is often an important factor. Please try to bring the units closer together, and move large items that are in between the line of sight of each other.
I hope these tips help to enhance your audio enjoyment.
Samsung is committed to providing the best possible product experience, quality, and value, and we are always here to help with any of your questions or concerns.

Speakers:
Thank you for purchasing the Samsung Wireless SWA-8500S Rear Wireless Speaker Kit. I am sorry to hear that you did not experience the full potential of the surround sound system.
By design, the surround speakers are supposed to simulate sounds happening behind the viewer. Therefore, most of the time the surround channels are only used for ambient sounds, which are naturally lower in volume.
However, there are a few settings you can change to adjust the surround effect to your preference:
1) Make sure that the source (e.g. TV output) is sending surround channels to the Soundbar. If the source is not capable of surround, then set the Surround mode to OFF on the Soundbar by pressing the Surround button on the remote.
2) If the source has surround channels, select the desired Sound Mode from the Soundbar remote.
3) Turn off Dynamic Range Control. This is done by pressing and holing the Sound Mode button while the Soundbar is in standby mode. Depending on your soundbar model, you may or may not have DRC.
4) Increase the volume level of the surround speakers using the Sound Control button on the Soundbar remote control. a. For example, if you are connected to the Samsung Harman Kardon HW-Q70R, you would press the Sound Control button on the Q70R remote (looks like a gear), then select REAR LEVEL and use the Up/Down buttons to adjust the volume within a -6 to +6 range.
I hope these tips help to enhance your audio enjoyment.

Misleading product and WEAK!! Could barely hear sound out of them- even after struggling to get the speaker wire positioned "just so" in the back of each speaker. Don't be fooled; these are not true wireless. You still have to use speaker wires, but just not as much. Really disappointed! Returned for a Yamaha Theater in a Box and LOVE that system, even though it meant running traditional speaker wire through walls.

They don't mention the fact that both the remote, acritical part to use the speakers, and the audio connection cable are missing. The speakers are useless without the remot, so if you buy this product, you are buying an expensive set of paper weights or plant stands.

These are not that great. I read bad reviews on this before purchase but I couldn’t believe Samsung could make a bad product..well they did. Was very easy to pair to sound bar, but made absolutely no difference in sound level. Basically they made no difference in the sound at all. The room was definitely small enough to accommodate these speakers...yet the disappointments.

Bought the only rear speakers in the store that was compatible with my unit. Was told they were an open box item and were tested to make sure they worked buy a sales person. Got them home and they didn’t work. Called Samsung and after 45 minutes of trying everything the Samsung tech suggested the tech said the speakers are junk and for me to bring them back.
