Thank you for purchasing the Samsung SWA-8500S Wireless Rear Speaker Kit. I am very sorry for any confusion about the wireless description.
Most consumers have trouble hiding and running speaker wires from the front of the room (where their soundbar is) to the back of their room (where they have their rear speakers). The SWA-8500S Kit eliminates that hassle. Connect the SWA-8500S rear speakers to its wireless module and place these three in the back of your room. One wire is required to connect each rear speaker to the wireless module. Then plug in the power cable to the module. The “wireless” convenience is in connecting your soundbar and any other speakers at the front of the room to the rear speakers – this can now be done via Wi-Fi through the wireless module, eliminating any clutter of long wires running the length of your room.
Thanks for choosing Samsung. I hope this reply was helpful.

Mike,
Thank you for purchasing the Samsung Wireless Rear Loud Speakers. I am sorry to hear that you did not experience the full potential of the surround sound system.
Please know that by design, the surround speakers are supposed to simulate sounds happening behind the viewer. Therefore, most of the time the surround channels are only used for ambient sounds, which are naturally lower in volume.
However, there are a few settings you can change to adjust the surround effect to your preference:
1. Make sure that the source (e.g. TV output) is sending surround channels to the Soundbar. If the source is not surround, then set the Surround mode to OFF on the Soundbar by pressing the Surround button on the remote. 2. If the source has surround channels, select the desired Sound Mode from the Soundbar remote. Choices are STANDARD, MUSIC, CLEAR VOICE, SPORTS, or MOVIE. 3. Turn off Dynamic Range Control. This is done by pressing and holing the Sound Mode button while the Soundbar is in standby mode. 4. Increase the volume level of the surround speakers using the Sound Control button on the Soundbar remote control. I hope these tips help to solve your issues. For further assistance, please contact our Customer Support at 1-800-SAMSUNG and a representative will gladly help you.
Again, thank you for taking the time to share your experience and provide us with information that helps improve our products and service.

For one, these speakers are not truly wireless. Also, you barely can hear any sound and doesn't really give you a surround sound effect. The wireless receiver that these speakers hook directly into kept disconnecting from the system at time. Personally, I wouldn't recommend at all.

Thank you for purchasing the Samsung SWA-8500S Wireless Rear Speaker Kit. I am very sorry for any confusion about the wireless description.
Often times, customers have trouble hiding and running speaker wires from the front of the room (where their soundbar is) to the back of their room (where they have their rear speakers). The SWA-8500S Kit eliminates that hassle. Connect the SWA-8500S rear speakers to its wireless module and place these three in the back of your room. Also, please know that by design, the surround speakers are supposed to simulate sounds happening behind the viewer. Therefore, most of the time the surround channels are only used for ambient sounds, which are naturally lower in volume.
However, there are a few settings you can change to adjust the surround effect to your preference:
1) Make sure that the source (e.g. TV output) is sending surround channels to the Soundbar. If the source is not capable of surround, then set the Surround mode to OFF on the Soundbar by pressing the Surround button on the remote. 2) If the source has surround channels, select the desired Sound Mode from the Soundbar remote. Choices are STANDARD, MUSIC, CLEAR VOICE, SPORTS, or MOVIE. 3) Turn off Dynamic Range Control. This is done by pressing and holing the Sound Mode button while the Soundbar is in standby mode. 4) Increase the volume level of the surround speakers using the Sound Control button on the Soundbar remote control.
As for the random disconnection between Soundbar and subwoofer, placement of the devices is often an important factor. Please try to bring the units closer together, and move large items that are in between the line of sight of each other. In addition, please check that you have the latest firmware update for your soundbar.
I hope these tips help to enhance your audio enjoyment.

After just a few weeks one of the cheap speakers stopped working and c/s had no fix other than to replace. Even when they both worked you can't tell they're adding any value to your surround experience, you literally have to stand right next to them. The only good outcome with these was the product failure motivated me to return these along with the Samsung soundbar for a BOSE system.

I have a Samsung Sound bar. When I purchased the sound bar I was told that Samsung sold rear speakers for it. I purchased the rear speakers and tried to set them up. After 1 hour of my time and 1 hour of Samsung support, I was told to get another set of speakers; I went to BB and exchanged the speakers for new ones. I tried to set them up, but they would not pair. I had to get a refund.

Loud? Not at all. These are the equivalent of cheap desktop speakers from the early 2000’s. The sound bar and woofer are awesome and I thought I would get the full surround sound experience with these, but was severely disappointed.
