I needed something that could be used to carry all of my software and tools plus hold customer data backups and transfer huge 4K video files between machines in a pinch. It can be very quick on a 10Gbps SuperSpeedPlus port, but even on older USB 3.0 machines it still pushes 400 MB/sec.
