I bought this cause I am running a 2017 macbook pro with two 27 inch cinema displays daisy chained. I constantly have issues with my monitors. I was told this would support both monitors. As soon as I plugged it in, massive fail. It tells me to connect accessory to a thunderbolt port on this mac. How am I suppose to when this takes up both ports? Massive fail. Now its either get my money back or buy 2 thunderbolt 2 to hdmi adapters and plug it into the hdmi ports. Complete waste of money!!!!!

This did not work well for me. Connected to an M2 MacBook Air it often lost connection to drives connected to either the USB-C ports or the USB-A ports. Even the installed ssd drive would drop connection. They would not show up in Disk utility. Restarting often solved the problem but not always. Sometimes unplugging the drives and switching ports would work but not always.
Seems well made just not reliable for me.

This docking station cleaned up my desk tremendously. No more cord running everywhere. I love how my MacBook Pro sit on the docking station neatly and all my cords plug up from the back. I love Satechi products and i already use many of them. I love the fact that i can buy products to color match my space gray MacBook Pro. This addition to my desktop setup is perfect. And i cant wait to get the the ssd installed in the docking station for quick access to data back up.

I recently purchased this Dual Dock from Satechi and am very impressed. Taking this out of the box, the finish is great. It matches my laptop perfectly. Functionality is great with all of the ports that I need, and setup took me less than a minute. Would highly recommend this product!
