This was fun to watch. The stories were really good and some really creepy moments. Acting and picture quality also was fantastic. The SteelBook looks awesome!

Since it's called 'scary stories to tell in the dark', I watched it very late at night. I am a fan of movies that don't wrap up all nice and neat for everyone. And this movie was no exception.

I appreciated this film more than some will. It's handles the material well, and the story that stitches all the scary tales together works better than it should.

I have my original Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark books from my childhood on my bookshelf still, and they are very worn for the amount of use they got. I was very excited to see this movie coming out! The movie is good for sure, but it's not what I was expecting. It is not a movie version of some of the stories from the books. Instead it is a movie about some of the monsters from the stories coming to life. So just know that going into it. But over all I enjoyed it and will probably watch it yearly around Halloween because that's where the movie starts. It is left kind of open in the end, so hopefully this means a sequel with some more. Never know.

I didn't like or Disliked it I loved it very much, Its been a long time since the Remake of IT Chapter ONE and TWO AND A QUIET PLACE that we had some really great Horror, it takes a lot to scare me but this movie it didn't get me scared but it gave me chills down my spine, I am giving this a 4 out of 5 because would of loved to see more jump scares and Blood but other then that I'm glad this movie was released it reminded me of the ole 80s horror. I would highly recommend it. I HOPE there will be another movie a sequel. Thanks to the Director and Writers and the whole cast and crew, just one of the Best horror movies of 2019 I think so anyways....looking forward to more Scary Stories to tell in the Dark...

Sarah Bellows was known to have told scary stories to children, supposedly killed some and then hung herself. Years later, on Halloween night, some kids go to the Bellows house and find a secret room where one of them discovers Sarahs book of tales and brings it home. Suddenly, new stories start to appear. The new stories contain the names of the kids who went into the Bellows house and revolve around their darkest fears. This was a creepy movie that used the story and good characters instead of blood and gore to scare you. I thoroughly enjoyed this movie.

I grew up on the books and they did an AMAZING job recreating the creatures. The tone and pace of the movie was great, I would say the first 80% of the movie was incredible but it fizzled out at the end once they showed the final monster(an amalgam of a couple of stories). Luckily I never judge a horror movie by the last 20% because its so rare that a scary movie ends in a satisfying manner. Anywho, this movie seems like it was made for younger kids transitioning into more adult scary movies, so 13 is a good starter age for this. If youre wtching with younger kids just a heads up there are a few intense scenes, but no over the top gore.

I read these books growing up. So I had to see and own the movie. It is also good for a movie night with the kids. Let’s face it kids think they can handle scary movies but a lot can’t lol! You can ease them into it with this movie.

Being in my early 60's I had read any of the Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark books. I was arare of them because I am a fan of horror books and stories and have seen thebooksin bookstores I frequent. When the film was being promoted I wanted to see it. I missed it at the teater so just had to buy the Blu Ray based on rave reviews. I was so very happy that the film lived up to its hype. This is must for all fans.

This film is a terrific adaptation of the horror book series featuring incredible artwork that is still haunting to this day. Well crafted with chills, thrills, and amazing creatures that can scare you over and over again. I love the fall feel it perfectly captures and has become a halloween season must watch every year. Any fan of horror must own this in his or her collection

As an adult I really enjoyed this movie. It has many of the standard horror movie tropes that horror fans will really enjoy but it is not very scary. It is really one of those movies that is great to introduce your kids to the horror genera. If you enjoyed either version of IT or Stranger Things then you will likely enjoy Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark as well.

I remember reading the books in middle school & even bought them a few years back, before I even heard a movie was in the works. I went not expecting much from a "PG-13" rating and boy was I surprised and glad I got to share the experience with my sons! The setting & music were perfect and all the actors are great, hope there will be more!

If you enjoy a good old school style horror flix, this is a must see. Teenagers caught in several tales of horror and mayhem, persued by a cursed book, written by a mentally disturbed child of darkness. Get ready to jump as these teens race to avoid the book's attempt to make them the subject of each tale written in blood.

These spine tingling stories harken back to the classic work of H.P. Lovecraft. This would be a brilliant addition to any well rounded collection. You’ll return to experience these stories again and again with likeminded friends. This is a frightening masterwork that will stir the dark corners of your imagination.

Hollywood has gone off the rails in Horror over the past decade, but "Scary stories to tell in the dark" gives horror fans a new and different perspective. This isn't your traditional, as of late, horror movie - there's a completely different feel to this movie. I really enjoyed how this was put together.

The design is absolutely gorgeous and full of detail- every bit as creepy as the film itself. As a movie, it’s far from perfect, but a solid entry into the horror genre, even if it is aimed at a slightly younger audience. There’s more than enough atmosphere and creepy designs to make up for it

The artwork on this steelbook is very creepy and represents the movie well however when I picked my copy up there were a couple of scratches on the back which isn’t great but I can overlook it. This was already a beautifully shot movie so seeing it in 4K really brings that out

I felt it was a pretty good movie. I grew up with the Scary Stories to Tell in The Dark books and couldn't wait to see this movie. I thought it was pretty cool. Great creep effect and everything. Don't you ever laugh as the hearse goes by, for you maybe the next to die....

I cannot wait to see this on DVD from director of Shape of Water which won the Oscar for best director this is his next work of art and I am excited to see this. I love a great scary movie the magic that goes into the carnage is very creative which makes a great movie.
