This product works get for storage of videos, pictures, and music. I would recommend this product to anyone who has videos, pictures, and music they want to save instead of taking up space on their laptops, desk tops, or tablets.

Easy to use to store back up and duplicate files safely.

These external hard drives are a good value when you need to save important files off of the computer.

This is my 3rd Seagate drive. The others are full and I have a newer computer, full of photos and video that I wanted to back up along with all my genealogy which I work on daily. I automatically chose this brand because I have never had a problem with it and it's very easy to use. This time I picked the 2 terabyte model because I have really downloaded or shot a lot of video through video streaming cams and taken 1000s of photos and I can't bear to lose any of it. Plus the genealogy work I have been creating and working with is invaluable to me. To have to redo that all over again would take 20 years, I'm afraid. Much of it is at least 30 year's work all now on one drive. I'm happy!

This portable drive is extremely thin, light but very tough and extremely reliable. Makes it easy to carry value data with you. I would recommend that you encrypt you data since it is so easy to move.

I needed something with a good amount of storage capacity, while still being small and light weight. This is the best of both worlds. The slim case makes it easily stored, and yet there is enough storage to hold all my important files, music, and movies. I have had no issues with this device thus far.

i was in the market looking for something that had enough space to fit all the family photos yet compact enough to carry around. This HDD is light and doesn't require an external power adapter to function. Definitely a plus

Bought this product to replace a Western Digital hard drive. Problem with the WD is that it is NOT plug and play in a Smart TV, they want you to partition it, etc etc. THIS Seagate HD is absolutely plug and play. The TV picks it up right away, displays all files right away and all are playable by simply selecting them. No partitioning and no setup required. Keep it simple on yourself...stick with this Seagate hard drive for ease of use.

I edit a lot of video so external HD is important to what I do. I own 2 desktop HD and 3 portable.. all Seagate. This one is so slim and fast I just love it.

I only give 4 stars because I'm still testing it out - so far, so good though. I bought one before that lost all my files so I'm a little wary. However, this time I didn't use the IT help desk to reformat it to work with both Mac and PC. Just use whatever installation the passport comes with. DON'T REFORMAT IT TO ExFAT!!!! No one tells you that Seagate is absolutely awful about data recovery (ridiculously expensive and pretty much told me there was nothing they could do over the phone). That being said, if you use their installation software you should be good. I've done that this time around and it seems to work pretty seamlessly between my MacBook and PC. Therefore, I think if you're looking for a hard drive that can work with both systems, this option is a good one and probably the best one (I reviewed a lot of options for 2 TB). Just make sure you use the installation software that comes with the drive and install it on all devices you plan to use it with. And remember, whatever you do, DO NOT reformat to any other option.

We needed a new external hard drive to backup a PC. This is the second Seagate drive I've purchased (last one was for a Mac). We also have used a Western Digital back up drive but I have found Seagates more intuitive and easy to use. It was a snap to get started (just plugged into USB port) and had plenty of space for all our photos and music.

This Seagate drive is perfect, it does all the needs I need it to do. I also love how the good design matches my laptop, it's the perfect companion to it. My favorite thing though is how simplistic it is to use it, just plug it in and treat it like a flash drive. If your optmistic, just bite the bullet and do it; you won't regret it.

I wanted to upload home videos to a hard drive so my father could watch them on his large screen tv. This will not work with a tv because the hard drive needs to have its own power. I have used it with my desktop and laptop and works great.

Nice quality, very portable hard drive. The amount of storage (2TB) and reasonable price (~$60, July '17) made this a nice choice for me to back up my work files. Very easy to use. I use it with Windows, so I cannot speak to the Mac experience.

Purchased this as a TimeMachine backup drive for my MacBook. Works great so far and I have no complaint. The design is nice, sleek, and lightweight, fits well with the silver color of MacBooks.

Nice and large drive that doesn't require an external power supply is fantastic. It also has a really nice feel to it being aluminum...looks classy...doesn't have a cheap feel to it at all!
