I like that this usb drive is fast for a hard disk.

Great backup external hard drive. The only concern is it makes a lot of squeaks, scratches and noises that has made me concerned about whether it was a lemon. However, apparently that's normal and there are no other issues with the device.

I love this drive. I bought 2 of them after my WD 8TB drive died and I resolved to not let that happen again. Now I use the second 16TB drive as a mirror for the first. I still can't figure out how to keep it from going to sleep, but that may be a Windows problem.

This will be my 5th unit, and the biggest to date. Love these things.

I have been using this external hard drive mainly to store my media content. It's very easy to use and it's also very quiet. I have not had a problem with it.

Good overall product but it sometimes causes windows to not respond or do so slowly as it seems to have some standby mode.

Bought it to enter storage for my media collection, outta the box it come with everything even outlets for different countries which surprised me. Build quality from the old drive have I would save has improved a lot. Drive a little bit loud if everything is quiet but barley noticable. 9/10

Seagate drives offer the best dependable storage for pictures. Best Buy is one of tbe few stores where you can get one.

The large capacity will make worrying about the future of all my stored info irrelevant. Installation was very easy.

Tons of space and it is very fast in copying/accessing files. Also sleek and, although it does make some noise when it's being accessed, it's pretty quiet.

Read fine but writing to the drive is very unreliable. Only a 3-week window for return/exchange with BB so they drive has gone back to Seagate for replacement. I was very surprised and disappointed at the poor performance, I've been using Seagate drove for nearly 30 years and have always had very good results. How this is a one-off and not a reflection of the current level of quality from Seagate

Beside the hum it makes it stores everything from games to movies to art files and more not gonna lie you TECHNICALLY only get 14tb but you should be good

Wanted to wait to review, bought in november and have had no issues! Love that we now have this huge storage device and can tote it wherever we need!

Seagate makes awful drives, which, while a bit cheaper than WD and the others, are not worth the savings. I will never use them again based on the recent failed drives and poor technical support. I have had only a few problems with drives; all of the ones I had that died were this brand. The most recent was awful; they don't have phone support and offer a chat with associates who are very difficult to communicate with. My problem was with a 16TB drive I had for a few weeks. Suddenly, the 10TB of video files turned into 5TB, and many files turned into 0KB for no reason. After support told me they could try and restore the drive and, if not, send me back the original, they sent me a 5TB drive with just that data on it and said it was restored. I reached out and told them the mistake. They said they would try again, and, then there was no response, and they said the lab got rid of the original drive. PLEASE don't let this happen to you.

Maybe I don't know what I'm doing. A hard drive with a rough ride.
