Constantly sounds like its shuffling through a deck of cards. Maybe 2-3 times an hour. Initial reads can take some time . I thiught my last hard drive was wearing iut due to this behavior but this new one does it too.

It works well with no issues. Havent unboxed it yet, but seagate makes good drives.

If you need an external hard drive, this is the one for all those pictures you have all over your computer. Plenty of room for more projects too.

Decent for archival purposes, fast enough, but gets disconnected from time to time from my Mac computers compared to my equivalent WD drives (I know they're the same company). Wouldn't buy again, but still useful for my purposes.

This hard drive works great for saving my games. I had some trouble with it at first, but the Geek Squad fixed it for me.

This was a great purchase! You can never go wrong with a Seagate 20TB drive.

First one I got was DOA. Second one is very slow to get recognized by windows. Once it does, its fine. Copy speeds are very slow as well. I knew it was going to be a slow drive, but it's for backup storage so not a big deal on speed after I finally get everything over. No noise complaints.

For me an "excellent" product is a product that lasts. Longevity is the main reason for a product like this. Only time will tell. Seagates smaller external drives seem the sturdiest built, but this big guy seems a little bit cheap. Interesting that it came with ac adapters for every region .
