So far so good! I ran CrystalDisk and other utilities' quick tests and it's all good. Incredible price at Best Buy, well below $15/TB, tax included, and quick delivery. I have not done what would be a very lengthy deep surface scan of the disk, and I do note the absence of ports for other USB devices, which other external hard disk 'hubs' often have.

I have older Western digital hard drives, and a few Seagate drives. I needed to transfer a lot of them over to this newer unit as a back up. The transfer rate seemed a little slow, but I was transferring close to 19 TB of information. It is a good unit for back up your data. I would highly recommend having something to back up all your data and pictures and video because once they’re lost on a hard drive it is very expensive to try to recover.
With the price sale that they have on this particular unit, this is an extremely good deal.

I purchased two of these. The first one I opened has been running just fine for months (9). The second one had to be returned and replaced after just 5 days of use. It just quit working and was no longer recognized. Tried it on multiple systems with the same result. Best Buy replaced it thanks to my Best Buy Total Plus membership and I was just backing up to it when this happened. So I don't know if this was just a one off fluke or not. I would suggest any new buyer give it a run with non-important data for a week or two before trusting it. 24TB is a lot of data.

Seemed slow to finish transfers from smaller 8TB drives but I'm not sure the issue wasn't with the old drives. Not very noisy by my standards. Added 20 TB so far, no problems. I don't recall if it arrived EXFAT or not, but I converted to that format anyhow.
Not my first Seagate HD, but my first, large TB HD

I have several small Seagate portable hard drives and never had a problem with them. I purchased the Seagate 24TB for all my files to back up several times a week. I haven't had any issues and only heard it wind once at the very beginning of connecting to my Apple Mac mini. No noise in the background since!
