We are using this vac on vinyl tile, medium shag, and looped pile carpeting. Chose this model because it has the simple, single beater-bar head rather than the dual heads that some of the more expensive models have. In some reviews I have read, the dual head models seemed to be more likely to have problems over time. This thing has very good suction. So far, pleased with the purchase.

I've been using the Navigator Lift-Away Deluxe for a few weeks now, and overall, I'm really impressed. The suction power is strong, and it easily picks up pet hair, dust, and debris from both carpets and hardwood floors. The Lift-Away feature is a game-changer—it makes cleaning stairs and hard-to-reach areas so much easier. I also appreciate the HEPA filter and sealed system, which help reduce allergens in the air—a big plus for allergy sufferers. It's relatively lightweight and easy to maneuver for an upright vacuum. My only minor complaints are that the cord could be a bit longer, and the vacuum can be a little top-heavy when using attachments. But those are small trade-offs for the overall performance and value. If you're looking for a solid vacuum that balances power, versatility, and affordability, the Navigator Lift-Away Deluxe is a great choice.

Great value for the money this medium size vac is powerful suction is great. There’s a switch to toggle from hard floor mode to carpet mode; and the power cord is a perfect length so most of time no added extension cords!! Easy to dump and clean plus-great filtration system. Very glad I bought it!!

After several bad vacuums, decided to try this sharks, this vacuum is top notch, very happy with this. Very powerful motor, picks up everything, its easy to clean also. All the attachments fit right on board the vacuum. I will definitely be purchasing another soon , not because i need it , just so i can keep one upstairs and one downstairs.

Excellent Vacuum For My Whole Home

I'm a young adult and have never purchased a vacuum cleaner before. I read several reviews and product specs before purchasing this model. My grandma has the Rocket and swears by it. I considered it, but after looking over the different multi tools and the "Lift Away," as well as the cheaper price, I went with this one. I love it! It's light weight (14 lbs I believe, I can lift with one arm easily) and a little smaller than regular vacuums. It all snaps together and has red tabs where you can separate the pieces, if necessary. It has awesome suction power, just as advertised. It also has a 5 year warranty, so as long as you treat it well, you can replace it or order parts (part numbers conveniently listed at the end of the manual, with pictures) for it. I have high pile carpet and hardwood floors and it works great on both. I tested the dust tool and crevice tool as well, and they both work great. You can adjust the suction on the neck near the handle which helps with these tools and high pile carpet. I kind of wish the crevice tool was a little longer, but there is a separate, longer tool for under appliances that will probably work for what I need it to. It's easy to lift the handheld part of the vacuum away, and to remove the handle for the tools, as well as to snap them back in place. I'm also happy that there are no bags to worry about, and that cleaning the filters is pretty easy. There is one model above this that has little head lights and a couple of different tools I believe, but I wasn't sure if it was worth the $20-40 more (I purchased this vacuum while it was on sale, so I'm not sure the exact price difference). I'm not sure if it matters, but I am using this to clean my one bedroom apartment. The cord is certainly long enough for me to use the same outlet throughout my home.

Good looking vac, with lots of power/suction. The lift away part is bulky when trying to vac under furniture. It is versatile with many attachments. This is the second Shark Lift-Away I have bought, and the older one is still being used. Light, quiet, and easy to maneuver around furniture. Filters are easy to keep clean, and reusable. Dirt catcher is easy to remove, empty, and durable. Cheaper made than Dyson, but half the cost. If you take care of the vac, it will last.

This vacuum has incredible suction even if suction level turned down. Too much for me. But works if udont have a fractured back and try to vacuum. So if u need power. This is for you. Not for area rugs. Sucks them right up.

I did a lot of quality and price research before I decided to try this Shark vacuum and I really like it! It’s light, easy to maneuver, easy to clean and it does a great job on carpets and hard floor. I agree with some reviews that the canister won’t stand up on its own and the hose is kinda short, also, I would like a longer angled attachment for corners cleaning but overall I love it and I'm happy with it. I will buy it again.

I've owned the Shark Navigator Lift-Away DLX for 4 weeks now and I love it! I have carpet, area rugs, wood floors, and LTV vinyl flooring. My Hoover had great suction but the HEPA filter warped a little over a year after purchase. I switched to the Shark Navigator and found it to be a wonderful surprise. Overall, I find the good qualities excede the bad. As for the good qualities, I found it to be lighter and easier to maneuver. I have used it on all the surfaces except the LTV vinyl. The suction is wonderful and I can feel it pull as I vacuum. The weight is light which works for me as I am older. Its swivel ability makes maneuvering so much better and no more banging against the walls, furniture, etc. The cord is as long as my Hoover so no change in that area. Because the suction is so much better, I've observed less junk in the canister as I continue to use it. There are some down sides to the Shark. The canister is difficult to clean thoroughly as it is small and has tighter crevices. The filters, though easy to clean, the thinner felt filter is breaking down quickly. Luckily I bought extras from Amazon. The Shark Navigator Lift-Away DLX is an excellent vacuum cleaner. It's good qualities make me happy I switched.

My wife & I have been married a little over 50 years & in that time we’ve owned many vacuum cleaners. Some of them really sucked (not in a good way). This Shark Navigator Lift Away Upright is by far the best of the best! It’s reasonably priced, versatile, light, easily maneuvers around furniture, and it picks up dirt! I use it as a canister vacuum to clean the car, stairs, the tops of furniture. This was a great purchase.

I gave this vacuum to mom my as a gift and she loves it. It isn't very heavy and does a nice job of picking up all the little things we would miss without a nice piece like this.

Easy to assemble with no tools! Lightweight. Love the maneuverability into small/tight spaces. Love the bare floor and carpet switch. It really does an excellent job picking up dirt and cat hair. Runs quieter than previous vacuums. I am replacing a six year old cheap Bissell. The only thing I wish it had was a bigger collection bin. I emptied it three times (basically after each section of my apartment).

I rarely do reviews but this vacuum deserves one. I love that it’s lightweight, a good height (I don’t have to bend over using it), powerful (I am appalled at how much it keeps picking up!), quiet (can hold a conversation over it), easy to empty, has a cord holder to keep it up while using, and so manoeverable, even on stairs. And so reasonably priced! I’m hoping it will serve us well in the years to come. We’re in our late 60s and need all the above qualities.

Bought our first one about 2 months ago on the advice of our maid. Love it! Had to get this second one for our other property. It is light weight, quiet, and works very easily on carpets. I love the floor vacuum feature where ONLY the suction functions as you sweep over loose dust, particles. The brushes spinning is the cause for kicking the dust and particles all over the place. Clever. Also easy to use on our stairs and under furniture. Wish this model came with some sort of light on the front, but oh well.

Vacuum is a value for price. Easy to use, noise minimum, cleans rugs better with minimum effort. Have used under beds, in tight areas, Carpet is cleaned better than pricer, heavy vacuum. All use, very easy to remove dust and dirt by removing tube. Really believe that the Shark is a money valued buy. Makes our carpet cleaning must easier.
