It’s amazing and I honestly went thru 3 different brands and a lower version of this brand but this one is by far the best and it performs as good as the ones that cost double. The only thing I find hard to get used to is sometimes it detects kitchen mats as cliffs and you have to give it a hand, also sometimes the side brush gets caught under furniture but that might be related to my kind of furniture only. Please get one ow and I promise you won’t regret it!

This is one of the most premium, hands-off cleaning robots on the market. It doesn't just vacuum; it mops and then cleans itself (refills water, empties dust, and washes/dries the mop pad). As a prize, it has a massive "wow" factor because it frees the winner from chores for a month at a time.

SharkNinja , a world renowned manufacturer of home cleaning & kitchen appliances, was founded in 1994. Based in Needham, Massachusetts, Shark spun off from JS Global & became an independent Public Company in 2023.
Shark just released Stratos, a new 2-in-1 robotic vacuum & mop. It features over 25 hands-free features, along with NeverTouch self-cleaning base. I own several robotic vacuums; all of them are black. The new Stratos is offered in white & is decked out with silver logos. It has a stunning, very attractive, contemporary appearance.
The Stratos is very intuitive & is a breeze to connect to your Wi-Fi. After a few updates over Wi-Fi, load the SharkClean app on your phone. After fully charging Stratos, set it free to map your home. If it runs low on battery power, it returns to the base to recharge, then resumes the mapping process. Next, review the map. If desired, modify or combine rooms, then label each room. There is no need to identify carpet or rugs; Stratos recognizes them & lifts the mop pad high above them to avoid contact automatically!
CONCLUSION:
Shark Stratos is the ultimate robotic vacuum & mop. Our hardwood floors are shining; our carpet & rugs are pristine. It is quiet, and due to many onboard sensors, it does not run into walls or objects like my other robotic vacuums did. The included Shark Odor Neutralizer Cartridge assures you have a fresh-smelling home. I love the bagless design, just one of many ways this is truly a hands-free appliance. Stratos is my absolute favorite Robotic vacuum / mop & earns my highest recommendation!!

All-in-one Robovac and mop

I’ve owned a number of Shark robot floor cleaners over the years, and the Stratos is the most autonomous one that I’ve tried so far. Once set up, it is able to vacuum and mop, as well as self-clean for multiple runs without requiring you to touch the machine. The included docking station is fairly compact and the only assembly needed is to install the ramp and optional odor cartridge. The odor cartridge is essentially an air freshener capsule that smells a bit like Irish Spring soap and fresh laundry. The amount of odor it dispenses is adjustable by rotating the cartridge, and the scent is dispersed each time the robot empties its dust bin. The station also houses washable intake and outtake air filters, two water tanks for clean and dirty water, and a bag-less dust bin that stores up to 60-days’ worth of debris.
The robot itself has a slightly oval round shape measuring 14” across at its widest point. Its outer rim is 3.5” in height and low enough to clear the toe kicks of my kitchen cabinetry, however, the LiDAR puck on top increases the total height to about 4.25”, so it may have trouble passing under low-clearance furniture like couches and dressers. While the dust/water bin and a Velcro mop pad are pre-installed, you will need to attach a side brush to the bottom; a spare brush and mop pad are included.
There are a myriad of sensors on the unit to allow it to detect and avoid obstacles, walls, drops and falls, and recognize carpeted areas. The drive wheels are also able to lift the machine over obstacles like floor transitions and will raise the mopping pads when going over carpet and rugs. This seems to work well as the robot hasn’t gotten stuck anywhere in my home. In general, I found the avoidance sensors worked pretty well, and it’s able to detect walls and large furnishings and go right up to them without making contact. It had a bit of difficulty, however, with tall skinny objects like chair and table legs and would lightly bump them before changing direction. If the object was light enough, it would end up pushing it around, like our mini artificial Christmas tree.
When choosing a location for the base station, you need to ensure that there is at least 2 ft of non-carpeted hard floor in front of the ramp and place it within 4 ft of an outlet. Then push the robot onto the contacts to start charging, which can take up to 4 hours. There are three physical buttons on top of the robot: dry clean, home/dock, and wet clean, but to use more advanced features, you’ll need to download and use the SharkClean mobile app.
Holding the Dry Clean and Home buttons down for several seconds puts the unit into pairing mode so it can be added to app and connect to your home’s 2.4 GHz WiFi network. The robot will then explore your home to create a map of all the areas it has access to. This took only a few minutes to cover the 3 rooms on my first floor with an open floor plan, and the robot automatically divided the map into rooms, though not quite accurately. You are able to edit the map and merge or manually divide the rooms by drawing a single straight line through an existing room. You can also add rectangular no-go-zones where the robot will not enter. You don’t need to indicate where carpet or rugs are as it will identify these automatically and lift the mop pad when passing over them. Note that only one map can be stored at a time, and the base station can’t be moved without remapping the space.
There are three main programs you can select: vacuum only, mop only, or vacuum and mop. When creating a schedule for regular cleanings, you’ll choose which rooms it should clean and one program per schedule. The robot can clean up to two times per day, though it’s recommended to wait 8 hours in between wet sessions to allow the mop pads to dry completely. The combo vac/mop mode is only available for “whole home” missions where the robot will visit all areas of the map. As for other settings, ‘recharge and resume’ is a useful one that allows the robot to cover larger areas by returning to the dock to charge when it runs low on power and resuming where it left off after charging for several hours. Similarly, ‘evacuate and resume’ lets the robot empty its dust bin at the base station every half hour, if it’s picking up a lot of dust and debris like pet hair.
The app tracks and records the robot’s location on the map, so you’ll see exactly where it cleaned after each mission. You can also view where the robot is in real-time during cleaning, or tap ‘Find Robot’ in the app, for example, if using in an unmapped area of the home, and it will play a melody through its speaker to help you locate it. That being said, the robot can clean areas of the home that are not mapped without the base station present, though it will spend a few minutes trying to determine its location first before creating a temporary map to complete its run.
This is helpful since I can take the robot up to the second floor of my home to vacuum as it is carpeted. If running a vacuum only mission, the robot prompts you to remove the mopping pad by unclipping it from the bottom of the dust bin. I found that when running over carpet, the side brush does not spin and occasionally the robot bounces while moving against the nap. It doesn’t really dig deep into the pile for removing compacted debris, however, the vacuum still picks up a lot of surface dust.
You also can’t customize the suction power as the robot automatically adjusts it based on the detected level of soil. Enabling Eco Flow mode uses less water during mopping for more sensitive flooring and faster drying times. I found that on the normal setting, the robot leaves behind only a light trail of dampness that dries after about 5 minutes. When a mission is completed, the robot returns to the base station and empties its bin and, if applicable, rinses and blow dries the mop pad with cool air for a set amount of time from 2- 8 hours. I found that the base station won’t always completely clear the robot’s dust bin upon self-emptying, but you can manually remove the bin for filter maintenance and deeper cleaning.
The Stratos was able to complete a vac and mop of my entire space, about 304 ft², in 40 minutes which consumed 30% battery life and about 1/6th of the clean water tank. The only area it couldn’t clean was under the dining room table because the robot is too wide to fit between the chairs’ legs. I was impressed that it went right up the edges of the room, and the floors were noticeably cleaner afterwards. Each wet run fills the dirty water tank about an inch, so it can be run several times before needing to be emptied.
One thing to note is that the robot does make a bit of noise as it drives around, and the station is loud when self-emptying and pumping water for refills and pad rinsing. The dryer fan also emits a constant whirring hum as it runs and isn’t heated, so it takes quite a while to completely dry the mop pad. I try to run the dryer for the maximum duration overnight as well as clean the dirty water tank after each run to avoid any issues with mold or mildew from standing water. If you don’t mop often, I recommend removing the pad to hang dry and emptying both tanks between uses.
Overall, the Stratos robot is mostly hands-off except for regular maintenance like emptying the bag-less debris bin every couple of months, cleaning the filters and sensors, and exchanging the water in the mop tanks when needed. It does a great job on hard floorings for both dry and wet cleaning and carpeting would definitely benefit from frequent surface cleaning to prevent dirt and debris from making its way deeper into the nap. Although the mop pads rinse and dry themselves, the water tray in the base station requires periodic cleaning. Scheduled automatic missions maintain my floors with a basic level of cleanliness, and the unit even integrates easily with smart home assistants like Alexa and Google for voice control.

Reclaim your time with the Shark Stratos!

I have had the pleasure of using the Shark Stratos 2-in-1 Robot Vacuum & Mop for the past two weeks, and this latest entry in the Shark Nevertouch line is impressive.
We have a two-story home with about 1,500 square feet of mixed carpet and hardwood on our first floor. Between cooking, whatever our kiddo does, and wintertime, it seems there’s always something on the floor. This vacuum/mop combo is the MVP for “Between the big cleans,” keeping our home tidy.
The box it arrives in is large, as this is a larger unit than you may be used to with robotic vacuums from days past. It’s about 17 inches tall, 15 inches wide, and stands out from the wall at about 18 inches. It took about 15 minutes to unbox and set up, and the setup is very straightforward: Remove the base from the box and plug it in; remove the robot from the box; attach the mop pad and the side sweeper brush; fill the clean water tank with the included solution; and install the included odor neutralizer cartridge for the dust bin. After that, setup happens in the app.
The Shark app guides you through the setup process, which includes configuring your Wi-Fi network, downloading any updates, naming your robot, and starting a discovery run. The discovery run has the robot roam around your home and build a map of the cleaning area. It is vital that all obstacles are picked up and the floor is free of any obstructions in the places you want to clean for this discovery run, as the rest of your robot’s subsequent runs rely on the data it captures here. After the discovery run is complete, you are shown a map of the robot's discoveries, and you can divide it into rooms. The robot is good at distinguishing between carpeted and hard-floor areas, so it knows where to mop and where to vacuum. Drawing boundaries on the map is easy, and after boundaries are drawn, you can name rooms for targeted cleaning.
Once the discovery run is complete, it’s time to clean. I will be honest and say I don’t know how to measure how well it cleans aside from a visual inspection, but it does a good job. The large side-sweeper brush gets under counters and along edges very well on this model, a significant advantage over other vacuums I have had. Carpets appear clean and have nice, straight, uniform vacuum lines.
The robot is good at determining when the dust bin is full and will return to the base, empty the bin, and continue the cleaning mission.
The mopping function is fantastic. My hardwood floors look great, free of most everyday stains – footprints, minor spots from a spill or a drop of food, etc. It will not be able to remove spots that are stuck on – think things you would have to actually get down and scrub, but this is to be expected.
Object avoidance on this model is as good as I’ve seen. We’re in a tough period for robot vacuums – Christmas. With the floor pattern changing due to the addition of trees, tree skirts, gifts, and other holiday decorations, the robot does about as well as I can expect. On most runs, it can avoid the tree skirt, but occasionally, I have to rescue it because it gets tangled in it. Other than that, it has completed all missions without my having to find and rescue the robot from getting tangled. One feature that really helps with this is the ability to lift itself over ledges, flooring transitions, and small obstacles like cords – the back of the robot will lift about an inch and a half to help it over small obstacles or to get into rooms where there may be a difference in the height of flooring.
This robot is called “Nevertouch” for a reason – because you only have to really think about it once a month or so. The robot self-empties the bin into a dust-collection canister at the base, and gray water from mopping is also routed to a collection tank at the base. The app will alert you when to refill the clean water tank and empty the gray water tank. Every few weeks, empty the dust-collection bin in the base, clean the filters, and replace the mopping pad. These are simple tasks that take only a few minutes, and Shark provides videos that show how to complete them. Mopping pads are easy to clean – toss them in the laundry with your towels, and you’re ready to reuse.
Cleanings can be scheduled to run at your choice of time and frequency using the app's easy interface. Cleaning can be run on demand via the app, by pressing the button on the robot, or by using the Alexa skill. It’s nice to be able to say “Alexa, tell Clean Elizabeth to clean the kitchen” and have it run a vacuum and mopping session in that room.
If I had to mention one potential downside, it’s that the unit itself is white – and it’s already collected a few spots on it that I had to wipe down. (Gotta clean the cleaner!)
As I mentioned before, this robot vacuum and mop combo is a fantastic addition to our home and plays a massive part in keeping our floors clean. It’s not only a significant investment in keeping your home clean, but it’s also a great investment in getting your time back!

Shark - Stratos 2-in-1 Robot Vacuum & Mop
Summary: Amazingly quiet and powerful!
Use:
Let me begin by sharing that...
1) I own and have owned various Shark Vacuums (mostly cordless pet and non-pet).
2) I own and have owned various smart robot vacuums by Ecobee, and iRobot. I had a four story home and so had a robot on each floor with each placed according to the need.
I now live in a single story home with concrete floors with a few carpets placed here and there.
All of the cordless Shark vacuums have performed well since day one. No worse for wear over the years (with proper maintenance and consumable replacements). We love their products.
We've been having issues with our existing robot vacuums that seem to be getting worse across all models (j+ to 10 Max, combo and non-combo). Rather that replace our primary unit (10 Max) with another model that may wear similarly, we thought we'd try the Stratos.
I think I can distill what I think about the Shark Stratos quite easily:
I love it. It is markedly quieter than any of my previous robot vacuums. You almost don't notice its running until you turn a corner and see it. I live near a road, and I think I notice the traffic more. It works extremely well! The mopping function is similar to others, but I much prefer how the liquids are stored and the overall contact the mop pad has with hard surfaces. The mop pad drying sequence is also insanely quiet - you don't notice it unless you're near/right at the base station. The vacuuming suction I thought seemed weak because it was so danged quiet. I thought it was stuck in mapping mode, perhaps. Well, no, it is working and it's just that quiet. I've had my Roomba 10 Max scheduled daily since forever. I've been noticing dust bunnies and been having to rescue it non-stop. I expected the floors to be somewhat clean (all things considered - I do have a corgi, so I have what I think are realistic expectations). I was wrong. I turned off the schedules for the Roomba and turned on schedule for the Shark. In the past two days alone, with staggered room cleaning and mopping run, the unit has pulled up so much debris. A lot of it I'm sure from the wool rugs, but also our corgi. The unit is about the size I'd expect it to be for it's function. The maintenance is pretty easy on this unit with all of the major components being easily accessible (filters, cleaning solution, waste water, and odor reducing cartridge) and easily serviceable (snap in side brushes and rollers). I feel the vacuum itself may have more chrome and buttons on it than it needs - but it doesn't detract from function, so its not a big deal. The base station is also a little bit extra, but not a big deal either. The LED indicators show the right amount of information. I peeled some of the stickers that describe buttons/LEDs and concealed them in the unit's reservoir chambers for quick reference. The reservoirs themselves are easy to access and make sense! They have handles. You pull out and set in. No weird balancing act with some of the cartridge/lid styled ones from competitors. BAGLESS. This unit doesn't require vacuum bags! Debris gets emptied into a big chamber that you can easily remove with one motion, and empty with just another. No bags, no alignment issues, no worry for being locked into proprietary media. The odor eliminating cartridge might be the exception, but that serves the added function of ensuring the air circulating through the system doesn't foul things up with the smell of the emptied debris. The voice on the unit is a bit annoying, but it is informative and the volume and language is configurable by the app. The app itself is functional, but it feels a bit basic and doing things like seeing the various configured schedules is a chore that it doesn't need to be. Why can't I just get a list of schedules? Why do I have press a scheduled day to view the schedule and modify it. Different schedules aren't even color coded on the calendar.
Pros:
* Svelte. Despite the abundance of "chrome" and buttons and LEDs, the unit is attractive and fits well with my more modern aesthetic.
* Performant. The unit cleaned up messes unseen or undetected by competing vendor/models that run daily.
* Quiet. This unit is almost whisper quiet. I no longer have to pause jobs when taking calls in my office. Even the sound from the unit emptying into the base station pales in comparison to the jet engines of competing vendor/models.
* Maintenance. Accessing the consumables for maintenance and cleaning is easy. There are hatches for direct access to anything you need. Vacuum components snap on and off. There is ample and easy storage behind and under the unit to store excess cord.
* Mapping. The initial mapping runs are fast and virtually silent! All the unit needs to do is enter a room and basically leave after it surveys using its onboard sensors and cameras. The maps are also quite accurate.
* Navigation. The unit's sensors clearly are superior to that of other vendors/models I own. It doesn't bump into things unnecessarily and repeatedly, it doesn't get stuck on desk legs, or caught under chair legs. It doesn't rearrange furniture. Though it does shift and move smaller carpets. My other vacuums would frequently take 15-30 minutes just trying to find the base station and dock. Several times we'd have to carry them to the station and manually place them because the unit would die of charge before successfully docking. The other models I've used also scuffed stained wooden baseboards and trim from the constant banging and rubbing. This unit seems to avoid directly rubbing against walls - which might be more problematic if I had a white unit - since I have white concrete walls and no baseboards.
* Voice. The voice can be annoying on max volume, but it is informative. You can easily adjust volume and language, though, so it's not a big deal.
* Controls. All of the controls for routine functions are accessible directly on the unit or via the app.
* Windows. There are open windows so that you can see the reservoirs and their capacity at a glance.
* Voice Control. You can also link your favorite digital assistant to enable skills to control your vacuum using voice commands. Choose between Alexa and Google.
* Included spare parts and consumables. The unit ships with an extra mop pad, side brush, odor capsule, and a bottle of cleaning fluid.
Cons:
* "Chrome." There is a tad bit more "chrome" on the unit and base station than I think are necessary. I prefer the unit to blend in the background. At least the choice of colors compliments the unit.
* App. The app is a bit basic - I don't like the way it navigates and presents some information. But I seldom use apps once things are scheduled and configured so this is hardly a deal breaker.

This is the fourth robot vacuum we have owned, the third by Shark and better than the last one I reviewed September 2022. It sweeps, vacuums and mops like the last one but has some extra and improved features. The Stratos does an even better job on my vinyl plank flooring than the last one, and it did an excellent job. The Stratos picks up better around the edges and leaves the floor a little dryer after it mops. It’s quiet enough my cats didn’t run and hide from it. They just gave it concerned looks as they watched it with suspicion. LOL!
Setup was very easy. Snap on the side brush, set the base, place the landing mat just under the front of it, place the robot up against the base and let it charge up. See instructions for details. Use the QR code to get the app, set up an account, link to your WiFi and you’re ready to go. If you already have a Shark account then just add device. Voice prompts and replies are easy to understand and helpful. You can name your Shark if you want to. You will need to let it map out “Explore” where you want it to clean the first time you use it. The built in LIDAR navigation makes mapping the areas to be cleaned an almost hands off job. Once the map shows on the app you can easily name your rooms and areas then set up no go and carpet zones. See app screen grab photo. You can have it clean only certain zones and add zones if need be. It will return to its base if it needs to empty itself as often as needed, then resume until it completes the job.
You can choose to have it vacuum or vacuum and then mop. You can choose a single room, multiple room, all the rooms or a spot location in a room. There’s no choices for how clean you want it to get an area like on the last one. Just an Eco setting in the menu options for it to use less water. The app has a new scheduling feature that lets you schedule cleaning times.
The Stratos base now cleans, empties, and refills the robot, plus washes/dries mop pads automatically. I like that! My older unit required manual emptying when in vac‑mop mode.
As a vacuum it does an excellent job. I purposely let my vinyl plank floors get dirtier than usual just to see how good it would do, and it did an excellent job every time I ran it. We have a couple of cats in our house, and it got pretty much all of the cat hair up except in places that there was no way it could reach. I used it several times a week to see how well it performed before writing my review. I used it in vac-mop mode twice and both times it did an excellent job. Better than the one I reviewed in 2022. I also ran it once in the bedrooms that have carpeting and it did a good job in those rooms as well. However, I will be using it almost exclusively to keep the vinyl plank flooring clean and mopped. It includes two mop pads, two side brushes, and a 12oz bottle of Shark’s multi surface floor cleaner.
You can link it to Alexa, Google Nest Hub as well. I had mixed results with Alexa with the last unit, and I didn’t add this one to Alexa. Not tested with Google Nest Hub as I do not own any of their bases.
I like how you can store the power cord in the back of the base, that the base holds enough water / cleaner for many cleanings and a tank for “grey” wastewater. Also, the replaceable deodorizing filter is a nice touch.
I think this product is very good value for the cost. It’s not perfect. The most problematic thing I dealt with was the app. I couldn’t get signed in and if you can’t use the app you can’t run the vac. I tried creating a new account and still had problems. I contacted TIN and was about to contact Shark for help and tried one more time on my original account and it worked. I have no idea what the problem was. The robot went into a bedroom with carpeting that wasn’t on the map when I left the door open and got stuck trying to find its way out. So, I keep doors shut for rooms I don’t want it to go in regardless of what the map says. The mop mat dryer makes a humming sound that might be annoying to some people and it doesn’t always get the pads completely dry.
Build quality looks and feels very good. It’s even quieter than the last Shark Robot vac I reviewed and a Roomba. We own several other SharkNinja products, and all have performed well for years and never failed.

WOW - Best Robot Vac I have owned!

PRODUCT: Shark - Stratos 2-in-1 Robot Vacuum & Mop Model: RV2720ZESKU: 6645438
WOW - Best Robot Vac I have owned!
That is a big statement, I know. I have owned 6 Robot Vacs from big and small brands over the past 5 years. None! have ever done as good of job as this Shark - Stratos. With all my other brands, I had to pre-clean the floor, get up large items like leaves, sweep out edges and corners. In the end (with other models) I only ended up with floors that are "Just OK" if you don't look too hard.
The Shark - Stratos is at least as good as I would do on my own, and in some cases better, because I tend not to get under the furniture as well as it does.
For my first test, I left the floors completely dirty, no pre-cleaning. I am hard pressed to find any missed spots or corners.
SETUP:
After the initial discovery it asked to do a quick vacuum run to find my rugs and map them so they don't get mopped. That also picked up about 80% of the debris.
RUNNING:
I asked it do a full vacuum and mop. That picked up 98% of the debris, and a nice finishing mop. From setup to finish (after full charge) it took about 3 hours to complete 600SQFT with a mix of hardwood and carpeting. I would guess about 1/2 that would be normal on an ongoing basis.
The operation was relatively quiet. I did not measure it, but it did not set the dogs off going crazy like other robot vacs had done. The biggest "noise" was the spinning of the edge brush.
The Shark Stratus Excels where others fail
- Mapping is pinpoint perfect
- Edge and Carpet Detection is spot on
- Battery Life is amazing (one charge - initial mapping, carpet detection, 2 vacuum runs, 1 mopping) ~600SQFT
- Self filling cleaning solution for mopping
- Self emptying for Vacuuming
- Multi Language support (mine is currently speaking German, because why not)
- Easy to use / setup app.
- Etc
The base is large about 2X the size of my prior 2022 shark model. The overall package is about 40lbs. This is some serious cleaning power.
What will get this used more than my other models it that it will also refill the mopping solution automatically and empty it. In the past, it was just too much of a hassle to bother with the mopping features. That is no longer an issue.
RECOMMENDATION
Really, this is the best I've ever used. So I guess you could say I would recommend it.
We are mostly hardwood (distressed with lots of bumps and ridges) with large and small rugs throughout.

Mapping and Editing the Map needs improvement.

Robot vacuum cleaners have certainly come a long way since the first ones were introduced about 10 years ago. My earliest robo-vacs acted like cue balls on a pool table aimlessly ricocheting back and forth hitting each wall or corner and then simply going a different direction. They seem to go by the theory I’ll get that dirt "eventually”. Later, guided navigation was introduced as well as features like vacuuming and mopping and self-emptying. The Shark Stratos is mid-range in its capabilities. After using it for a couple of weeks, my overall opinion is it has great hardware, but it suffers in the app and algorithm department
FEATURES:
· Dual Functionality: Combines robot vacuuming and mopping into one device.
• “Smart Cleaning” identifies areas with more debris than normal and then boosts vacuuming performance. The robot targets areas with more stains and will boost mopping performance by taking multiple cleaning passes.
• When vacuuming, the robot blasts air to push debris from edges and corners into the robot’s cleaning path. While mopping, it extends the pad up to an inch towards the wall for edge-to-edge mop cleaning.
• The base captures and traps 99.97% of pet allergens* and dust. Odor Neutralizer Technology traps odors for a fresher smelling home. (*down to .3 microns)
• The robot automatically empties debris into the 60-day-capacity bin, automatically refills its own water tank for up to 30 days, and washes and dries the mopping pad after every clean.
• The first time the Shark Stratos maps your home’s rooms, you might become concerned that it is picking up and curling the edges and corners of your throw rugs. Actually ,once the mapping App learns where the problem throw rug edges are, it will begin lifting the rear end of the robo-vac off of the floor, so the rug is not caught and curled. It’s actually quite effective and fascinating to watch.
PROS:
· Once the base storage compartment is full, it’s very easy and cost efficient to empty, since it is a simple reusable plastic box box and not a costly uncleanable filter bag
· App Control: The Shark Stratos is compatible with home voice assistants (Siri and Google Home) for hands-free control, scheduling and monitoring of cleaning sessions.
· Connectivity: Easy guided Wi-Fi set-up
· Timesaving: Reduces manual cleaning efforts, saving time and effort for users.
· Customizable schedules for automated cleaning sessions add convenience.
· Effectiveness: The Shark Stratos has a very high suction and brush speed capability which will clean a lot of dirt out of carpets and floors
· Versatility: Suitable for various floor types, including hardwood, throw-rugs and carpets. It switches its height, speed, and suction power on the go automatically depending on conditions and your settings in the App.
· The Shark Stratos is relatively quiet compared to other robo-vacs.
CONS:
- I am disappointed in the navigation and particularly the Map making/editing ability of the Shark Stratos. Compared to many other robo-vacs I’ve owned, the Shark Stratos’ map display is missing important (to me) information like properly located free standing interior walls. For some reason, the map’s algorithm only recognizes and displays walls that are physically connected to the outside house wall. It seems to think freestanding separation walls are furniture.
- After the Shark has done its initial mapping, the result is full of errors. It tends to break up open rooms into sections for no logical reason. The editing of the map is difficult. Dividing the rooms is only allowed in vertical or horizontal lines The map editing software stubbornly resists dividing rooms unless they extend to the home exterior wall. The "Exclude Areas" allowed are huge. The smallest exclusion area I was to make was the size of a small bedroom. To cope with it I had to extend the exclusion area outside of the house to get them to exclude the smaller area I needed. The Shark Stratos had a great deal of difficulty with the thin cotton skirt around the bottom of our Christmas tree. Every time it tried to make a map, it would swallow the edge of that skirt and just kept going back and forth like a chained animal knocking over presents until the battery went dead. It seemed to me that the algorithm should have just realized after trying for 5 or 6 minutes, that it should just go backwards to the last place it was NOT in trouble, and then not return to the Christmas tree area again. I wound up temporary setting wooden two by fours around the base of the tree to stop the Stratos from moving all the presents around and getting permanently stuck. They need to fix that mapping and editing.
CONCLUSION:
The Shark Stratos Combo Robot Vacuum/Mop has good hardware. However, there are mapping and map editing issues, I think those issues will probably be solved with software updates in the near future

I've gone through my fair share of robot vacuums over the years and I've found the technology in them gets so much better so quickly. It didn't take long for this model of Shark robot vacuum to take the place of my (much more expensive) iRobot as my daily driver.
Setup was insanely easy. I was dreading the process because I've always needed to really prepare the entire floor where the vacuum is going to live and then it usually takes an incredibly long time to do it's mapping for the first time. So I finally got everything ready and was prepared to check back in a couple hours to see if it was done yet. 10 minutes. It took less than ten minutes to just drive around and scan every room on the floor and be ready to go. Putting everything together was easy enough as the stickers on all of the pieces explain most everything and the app is good at walking you through the rest of setup.
On top of being faster at scanning the whole house, another thing I really, really enjoy is how quiet this thing runs. It doesn't skimp on power but the first couple times I ran it, I just thought it was still "setting up" to run and then realized it had been vacuuming/mopping the whole time. Even when it empties itself, it's so incredibly quiet compared to my old vacuum that sounded like a jet engine kicking in every time. It used to scare the kids and my cats. The Shark isn't whisper quiet or anything but it's noise level doesn't even compare to anything else I've used. Insanely quiet. There's a slight "hum" while it's drying the pad after it does a mop. It's noticeable but not loud at all. My old vacuum started with a really annoying, loud sound that eventually just went away. Either way, the pad never dried. After 8 hours of drying, the pad was slightly damp still but I wouldn't call it wet. Not perfect but seemed a lot better than what I was used to.
We have small children so there's no shortage of messes and I made sure to leave as much on the floor as I could the first time I ran it. My other vacuum, I'd tend to do a preliminary sweep before it ran. This Shark had no issues and the floor looked really good when it was done.
The app is fairly simple. There aren't a lot of "options". This might be the only downside I can find so far. You can pick a spot to clean. You can do a whole house clean. Or you can select specific rooms. There are no controls for multiple passes or how much water you want to use on certain rooms. This might be something I'm just not used to because it doesn't really need those options. The job it's been doing has been really good so I can't complain. I just like having options to play around with.
You get a 12oz bottle of the cleaning solution and you're instructed to use the whole 12oz bottle when you fill up the clean liquid container. Since this is a "25+ hands-free" unit, it says that should last you 30 days but that will obviously vary depending on how often you run the vacuum and how much you have it clean.
This vacuum also does a decent job detecting rugs and had the ability to lift it's up off the ground when it does so it doesn't get them wet. We run on a schedule and always have to remember to pick up the area rugs before the vacuum runs but I don't think I'll worry about it as much anymore with this one.
All said, I'm impressed with this Shark model. It seems so much better than the crazy expensive iRobot I had before. If you're looking for a smart vacuum that isn't cheap but isn't necessarily going to break the bank either, definitely give this a look.

I’ve never had a robot vacuum or mop. I love my other Shark products, so I thought this was finally worth giving a shot...
Our house is a split level with 4 “floors”. The main floor is all hardwood and laminate. The next level down is all carpet, so the combo robot is clutch. The longest part of my set up process was looking for a suitable place to put the base. The instructions recommended a foot of clearance on both sides and two feet on the front, which does limit options when placing it.
I opened the box and followed the big giant startup guide, downloaded the app while the robot charged for a bit. The assembly is extremely simple, peel off the stickies then put the base on the floor, put the ramp on the base, put the robot on the ramp, plug in. There is a 12oz bottle of hard floor cleaner you dump in the water tank from the base, then fill it with water to the line. Make sure you check the filters on the base, the ones in mine had worked loose in transit but popping them back in their spots was easy. The app walks you through how to get your floor ready then has the robot learn your layout, then it can do a carpet search where it will not where your rugs or carpets are to make sure it doesn’t get them wet. Set up complete! I think it took about 5 minutes total.
The app is basic, letting you interact with a map of your layout and choosing your clean modes. You can set a schedule to have the robot clean whenever you’d like. Since this robot has not yet figured out how to go up or down the stairs, it is limited. I assumed the app would allow me to map each level of the house and I could let it loose, then it would let me know when it needs to go to the next floor so I can go move it. The app allows mapping of one floor only. This is not really a limitation to worry about.
Not having dealt with a cleaning robot prior, I did not know these guys are completely self navigating and it doesn’t need the map necessarily to clean floors. I took just the robot and put it on the carpeted level, pressed the vacuum button on the top, and it wandered around, figured out how to navigate itself and did a great job on the carpet all by itself.
The top floor of our house has hardwood and rugs combined, so I will not put the robot up there and let it loose with the mop, but the vacuum function is just fine. Being able to add the top floor would be great.
The app will accommodate multiple Shark robots, so I think I’ll get another one for the top floor one day when the base station fits under my bed.
I was concerned with how it would clean, having been assured by Shark that it can see hidden dirt and will take initiative on it’s own to clean dirty spots. I can not speak to the carpet, but the laminate floor and hardwood were very clean after the first run. The robot did not clean up some wet cat food splats I had left on the kitchen floor to dry overnight by the cats bowls. After the robot said it was finished, the whole floor looked great except for that bit. I opened the app and told it to clean that spot again and it refilled itself for a while, then went back to the kitchen and did a little shimmy dance around the affected area - voila, clean as a whistle.
The vacuum is impressively quiet. It navigates around chair legs very well. I left a couple of cords out and it clearly has issues dealing with them, but it never got stuck and did get the entire carpet well clean. I have a cat who runs for his life any time a vacuum starts in the house. When I was running the vac on the carpeted level it was quiet enough the cat just sat in his chair as it drove by repeatedly. The noise level, or lack thereof, is one of the most impressive feats Shark has squeezed in here.
Overall, I am thrilled with this machine and I recommend it to anyone jumping in who might think floor robots are a hassle. What a wonderful little machine!

I am in the middle of (slowly) renovating my house, currently having ripped up the tile and preparing the subfloor for hardwood floors in the next month or two. This has taken a few months to complete, and I'm finding that everything has a thin layer of dust on it during this time. For this reason I needed a vacuum where I could set boundaries, schedules, and overall have control of vacuuming, preferably without having to stop work to vacuum. I picked up the Shark Stratos 2 in 1 robot as the solution to help with the dust. This review is based on a week of use for hardwood and tile surfaces only.
TL:DR - The Shark Stratos does a good job of being hands off, with a large dust bin and auto swapping between vacuum and mop head, and a cleaning reservoir to prevent frequent adding of water or cleaning solution. While the physical cleaning process is hands off, the app is finicky and the vacuum struggled to map out a floor plan that had a lot of obstacles such as floor lamps, chairs, and boxes.
Pros:
Relatively low intervention, can go days or weeks without emptying the bin or adding mopping solution
Seems to manage pet hair and cat litter well
'No go' zones are easy to set, providing you can set it using a rectangle, for odd shapes, this may be a problem.
Mopping process doesn't leave behind much water, safe for all sealed hard surfaces, to include wood flooring.
There is a targeted spot clean function if you only need one area cleaned.
Cons:
App is a bit finicky, I installed it on an iPhone, but kept having issues with wifi dropping so I paired to Android and the link seems more stable.
Mapping function is not accurate for houses with numerous obstacles
Long term, you will have to buy parts and cleaning supplies, this needs to factor into cost of ownership. The brushes, mop pads, odor cartridge, and cleaner (if desired) are all wear items that will incur replacement costs.
In the box is the vacuum, base, ramp, side brush plus extra, mop pad plus extra, order cartridge, and sample of Shark cleaner. Setup is straight forward leveraging the app and following the prompts. The first thing the vacuum will do is a mapping run, this does take a while (~2500 sq ft), and for me, I found it to be only 80% accurate. To be fair, I have a ton of stuff in the way from both the renovation as well as it being the holidays and there are additional boxes and decor on the floor. On top of that, I have teenagers, who leave things everywhere, and never in the same spot twice. I doubt there is technology out there that has a solution for teenagers and their stuff.
Once the mapping run is complete, and the battery is recharged, you can then set any 'no go' zones via the app. This shows up with a rectangle overlay from the map that you can resize and drag to the correct location and repeat as many times as needed. I have two areas blocked, the room under renovation and the teens rooms, which prevents the vacuum from passing into those areas until I remove the block. No issues with setting the zones, but it did take some tweaking to get it just right since the map is only partially accurate.
As for performance, your mileage may vary based on your use case. For me, I prefer to both set a schedule (day of the week and time) as well as run manually when I have been working on the renovation. You can also set vacuum, mop, or both in the schedule. The vacuum seems to hold up well against pet hair and dirt, so far no streaks from dragging dirt across the floor and no large missed areas. The mop does good for basic mopping such as dust and light dirt, but isn't meant for tackling stuff that needs scrubbing and it doesn't do the best with getting spills fully dried up either. If you haven't had a robot that does both, the ability to mop and vacuum is nice, the robot keeps the mop pad on the base when not in use and will go attach the pad for a mop run. The base will suction out the debris as well as rinse the mop pad so you aren't dealing with dirty or smelly mop pads. I do change the mop pads every week (when setting a mop schedule of twice weekly), and they are easy to throw in the wash and reuse.
Bottom line, the vacuum does great to cut down on chores. I still have to deep clean weekly, but prior I was vacuuming every day and mopping weekly. The vacuum handles transitions well, as we have a few small elevation changes between the tile and hardwood. Surprisingly the vacuum does better than a handheld at picking up cat litter versus flinging it everywhere. If you have indoor pets, the roller does get quite a bit of pet hair wrapped around it, but it's easy to clean and reset and the app will send a reminder if the brush needs attention. Overall, the vacuum is low maintenance, low effort, and relatively high return. I wish that the app performance was a bit more robust and the mapping feature was able to navigate my jungle of a floor plan. Other than that, I can't complain, and appreciate the time back in my day to tackle other things.

Let me start by saying that I have been an owner of many robot vacs from many different manufacturers such as Neato, I Robot, Samsung & Shark. To this point the SHARK Strayos 2-IN-1 has been a quantam leap in the day to day cleaning around my house. I was always a bit leery of the mopping function on a robot given the mixture of hardwood floors and thick rugs all over but I sure have been impressed soo far. It's fun to watch as you see the learning process and how it avoids things like my dogs, power cords, furniture and other items in its path with much more ease than my previous units. The roller brush system stays very clean and its much more efficient, I find it easier to clean and maintain compared to the older units. It maps your home and allows you to draw room boundaries, name your rooms and choose what rooms you are going to clean. I have two Maine Coon cats that shed big time and again the improvement in technology is wonderful. No more hair! .
The self empty feature is wonderful and it's interesting that when the dirt container in the Stratos fills, it scampers back quietly to its base and empties itself. Then amazingly it scampers right back to the spot it was cleaning and resumes finishing the cleaning. Same thing happens if the battery goes low. It scampers back to its dock and you get a message from the app that it is recharging with an estimate as to how long it will be before it resumes cleaning. Because it knows how much cleaning is left, you don't have to wait for a full charge too. I love that after it completes the map of your home shows the obstacles if any, that it encountered. The real show stopper for me was the addition of mopping since I have always had just the vacuuming feature. It has eased any worries that I had about mopping the small amount of carpet and any rugs that we have, it just stays away or will engage vacuuming only. I have to admit that whatever changes have been made to the mapping system in the Stratos are fantastic, this unit maps my home quicker and more accurately than any unit I have ever owned, well done! It's quiet too. Much quieter than my old robots. My cats pretty much ignore it as it moves along the floor where before they would haul butt into another part of the house. Also noticeable is that it will turn off the vacuum motor when it is traveling to specific rooms or when it is returning to its base. It also seems to have an extremely powerful motor on the base to suck the particles from the robot, the thing sounds like an old school Kirby so just beware because it may scare you the first few times. The performance of the mopping function honestly shocked me when I went to empty the container of the used water, it was disgusting and I had just hand mopped the weekend before. The only thing that I will not say is 5 stars is the setup process/app which gave me a bit of difficulty in the beginning. It may be in part due to wifi on my end with sooo many IOT connections but even so the app could be more helpful in the assistance area, other than that I am totally pleased soo far!

The Shark Stratos 2-in-1 Robot Vacuum and Mop arrived well-packed and included everything needed to get started.
Unpacking: In the box were the robot, base, two mopping pads, two side brushes, an odor-neutralizer cartridge, and a sample bottle of Shark VacMop solution.
Setup: Setup was easy using the app I downloaded. I had the robot explore my house to map all the rooms and hallways, and then identify the carpeted areas so it knows where not to mop.
App: The app is easy to use. I wish it displayed progress while vacuuming and mopping so I could
see if it has completed the areas I need before stopping it. I don’t let it run while we’re away since the dog can sometimes leave little “presents,” and I’ve been told the Auto Lift technology does not detect those.
Vacuuming: We have a pet, so running the vacuum often has helped minimize pet dander on flat surfaces and in the air. We have hardwood floors and carpet in the bedrooms, and I’ve found that carpet vacuuming is much better with stronger suction than previous robots we’ve owned.
I like the Dirt Detect feature, which shows areas where more dirt was found and suction was boosted. The only issue is that those carpeted areas keep showing detected dirt repeatedly, which makes me think they need steam cleaning since vacuuming alone won’t remove all the embedded dirt.
I also like the Edge Detect feature for edge cleaning, where it blows air to pull dirt or debris out so it can be picked up. This robot cleans edges better than any I’ve used—I never see dirt or debris next to the baseboards anymore. The Auto Lift technology has worked well for cords and other items left on the floor, preventing the vacuum from grabbing them. That’s a big improvement over other robots.
Mopping: For mopping, this robot is much better. The base has a bin that pulls out for water or multi-surface cleaner and another bin for gray/dirty water. I love that I don’t have to fill a cartridge with water each time since the robot extracts water from the base when you select mopping in the app. It’s a little slow extracting the water, but it works well. The mopping pad automatically attaches from the base when needed. The pad seems effective—the hardwood comes out clean every time, and it even removed sticky residue from a spill completely.
Emptying: The base also has a 30-day dust bin that holds a lot of dirt, thread, and hair. I haven’t had to empty it yet, but the bin is easy to access.
Summary: Overall, this is a great vacuuming and mopping robot that does the job well. I haven’t found much to complain about.

The Shark Stratos 2 in 1 Vacuum & Mop and NeverTouch Base impressed me. It has lots of useful functions and seems to do a good job mopping and vacuuming. Plus it is significantly quieter than my old robot vac.
What’s in the Box:
• Shark Stratos Nevertouch robot vacuum
• Nevertouch base
• Base ramp
• Odor neutralizer
• Extra mop pad
• Two edge brushes (one extra)
• Small bottle of Shark VacMop cleaning solution
Right out of the box, I was impressed with how everything is labeled. Besides the numerous QR codes to access more information, there were good simple instructions on and inside the base and robot. Even though it looks a bit complicated, set-up was remarkably simple and quick. It let me choose which network to connect to and the connection to my IOT network has been rock solid.
I let the robot create a map of my main floor. Then I edited the map to better define the room boundaries. I initially tested by having the robot mop my kitchen floor. It did a surprisingly good job and used very little water/cleaner. The robot has a function that dries the mop pad when it is finished mopping.
For my next test, I scheduled it to vacuum the entire main floor. Again, it did a good job, and it only took a bit less than two hours. Less than half the time my old (other name brand) robot took for the same task. One bonus here is that the dustbin in the base is bagless. No replacement bags to purchase. Another bonus is that on a vacuum only task, the robot automatically detaches the mop pad prior to vacuuming. This saves a lot of wear and tear on the pad.
Now for the things I wish it did. I’m not really impressed with the app. You can manually use the vacuum and mop functions by using the buttons on the robot. But you don’t get the ability to clean only specific areas that way or use the schedule that way. The robot senses carpet and hard floor. But it can’t distinguish between my tile and my hardwood floors. That’s fine. But the app should let me define hard floor rooms that I want vacuumed but don’t want mopped. The vac and mop function in the app just has the robot vacuum everything and then mop all the hard floors. The only way I found around this is to schedule specific days for specific rooms to be mopped and then just let it vacuum everything on a different day. The app also won’t let me choose more than one room at a time for an off-schedule mop or vac.
In summary, this robot 2 in 1 vacuum and mop is easy to set up and works very well. Even though the app clearly needs work, the robot and base are very good.

The Shark - Stratos 2-in-1 Robot Vacuum & Mop With 25+ Hands-Free Features & Never Touch Self-Cleaning Base in white is very aesthetically pleasing. The white unit is modern, clean and crisp looking with the gold-tinted Shark logo in the center of the circular robotic cleaning unit. So, this unit comes with everything that you need to get started right out of the box-the home base, the circular robotic floor-cleaning unit, the mopping attachment with 2 mop pads, 1 already attached to the mopping attachment and 1 replacement pad, the odor neutralizer disc, 2 brushes, and a 12 oz. container of Shark Mop VAC Clean to put in the clean water tank. By the way, the solution does a fabulous job that I will talk about later.
The reason that I was so interested in requesting this unit is that a couple of years ago I got rid of all my carpet and replaced that with real, sealed hardwood floors. First, no matter how well you treat your carpet, when it is disposed of you will discover how disgusting the dirt that is retained in it really is. However, having hardwood floors is no cakewalk either-you have to deal with dust and if you have dogs, keeping up can be a full-time job. This vacuum & mop with all the hands-free features can be a game changer. I have a large, 2-story home and the home base is currently on the 1st floor, making sure that is placed at the distance from the wall, etc. that it needs to be able to operate effectively.
Right out of the box, after putting the unit together and attaching the pieces to the robotic floor cleaner, you must fully charge and download the Shark app to your smartphone. The app totally controls how this machine will work. Clearly, you have to connect it to your Wi-Fi, which went off without a hitch, and then have it "map" the areas that you want it to eventually clean. Common sense says that it is a good idea to pick up all items, including those that are decorative, that would be in the way so that you get the best perimeter of square footage and floor space to clean. To that end, I picked up ottomans, chairs around dining tables, etc.
This unit can individually vacuum, mop, or mop & vacuum. The 1st task that I had it do was to vacuum. I was impressed that when it was figuring out how to do so with its sensors and brushes, that it kept trying to do so and be successful without falling down my open staircase to the basement and ram into furniture or decorative items sitting on the floor. It even had enough "smarts" to figure out how to get over threshold pieces between tile and hardwood, going back and never giving up to get over that hurdle-it was entertaining to watch it do its stuff. After it learns, the next time that it attempts to do the same area is much easier for it.
So, what are my thought and impressions? First, it is well-designed with a good-looking and efficient combining the clean and dirty water containers within the cavity of the base. Two, this robot does want to learn and keeps trying to figure it out as it moves across the areas of your floors, and in my case. Hardwoods with throw rugs in certain areas. The reason that I am only giving it 4 stars vs. 5 is because I noticed that there was an area with dirt that I think the robot dropped dirt. Now, in my case the unit comes back to the base when its collection cup gets filled, and it dumps its contents and then resumes its path to finish the job-I need to figure that one out. Fourth, the mopping was great. In fact, initially, I only let it mop my 500 sq ft. family room to make sure that there was not a streaking catastrophe. To that end, I used chairs at both of the cased openings to contain the robot. I am amazed at how beautiful the floor looked after it dried. You can see the wetness right after it goes over the area, but the Shark mopping formula is truly streak-free, and the floor sparkled without streaks, yeah.

I’ve had the Stratos for about a week now, and I’ve put it through its paces.
Likes:
It does a good job mopping. The pad moves side to side, versus other robot vacuums that use vibration to clean or other robots that have circular pads that spin. The side to side action of the Stratos does a good job, better than I originally thought it would.
No bags required for debris. Instead, dust and other collected items is automatically deposited into a holder that can be emptied easily into the trash.
One of the best kitchen robot vacuums I’ve had. Gets right in underneath my cabinets and rides the baseboard. The other two vacuums I have from other manufacturers never got those last couple of inches, so kudos to Shark.
Self-cleaning mop wash, and self-empty dust bin. Nice and convenient.
Came with an extra side brush and mop pad.
Dislikes:
Battery life is not the best. My downstairs is 1800 square feet. A vacuum session followed by a mop session requires several hours of charging before the job can be completed. I have other robot vacuums that are fully capable of vacuuming and mopping my downstairs without a charge.
The mapping function is a pain. Trying to split rooms, and I just get a message that I have to start my line outside the room and end it outside the room. But when I follow those instructions, I still can’t get it to work all the time. Then suddenly it does. No sense whatsoever. I’ve had other Shark robot vacs and had the same problem with them. Yet all other manufacturer robot vacuums I’ve used that have mapping were a breeze to split and merge rooms.
The Stratos doesn’t seem able to vacuum and mop at the same time. Again, I have other robot vacuums that do both at the same time and do a great job. Having to do one task and then another is a pain. Takes 45 minutes to vacuum and then another 45 minutes to mop, instead of everything together for a single 45-minute period.
One more mapping issue- the Stratos randomly decides to go rogue and mop and vacuum parts of the house I didn’t tell it to clean. I watch as it goes into the wrong rooms, check the map, and the map shows it where it is, and those sections are not highlighted. So, why is it there?
It’s a decent enough robot vacuum, but misses on battery life, mapping, and not being able to vacuum and mop at the same time. It does do a great job of getting under kitchen cabinets, and has some cool functionality.

I’ve been using the Shark Stratos 2‑in‑1 for about a week on hardwood and tile, and overall it’s been a helpful addition. The vacuum and mop functions switch automatically, the dust bin is large, and the onboard reservoir means I don’t have to refill water or solution very often. It does a good job picking up pet hair, and the mop leaves floors clean without excess moisture.
The Android app, however, is not a strong point. Mapping is only partly accurate in my house since there are a lot of obstacles—lamps, chairs, boxes, and general clutter—which makes it harder to rely on the floor plan. While the Lidar seems to work well, but the lower obstacle avoidance sensor on the front of the unit leaves a lot to be desired. Setting “no‑go” zones works fine as long as the area is rectangular, but irregular shapes are trickier.
Day‑to‑day use is straightforward. I can schedule vacuuming, mopping, or both, and also run it manually after messy projects. It handles transitions between tile and wood well, and the mop pads are easy to wash and reuse. The base empties debris and rinses the mop pad, which keeps maintenance simple.
There are ongoing costs to consider—brushes, mop pads, odor cartridges, and cleaner all need replacing eventually. Pet hair does wrap around the roller, but it’s easy to clean and the app reminds me when it needs attention.
In short, the hardware works well and saves time, especially if you have pets. The app and obstacle avoidance could be better, but if you’re mainly looking for less daily effort with vacuuming and light mopping, it does the job.

This robo vacuum and mop is a must if you have hardwood floors. The unit is easy to put together straight out of the Box. It's pretty self-explanatory to put together but if you need instructions online support is available. The unit comes with its own cleaning solution which makes it easier to get things started. You first have to download the app to sync your phone to the robo vacuum. Once you sync, the robo vacuum will start to roam around your rooms to document how big your home is. Once that cycle is completed it's ready to start its new job. In the app you can name areas or rooms. This makes it easier to send the robot to clean and vacuum specific areas. Or a combination of any. The app is very useful as you can schedule cleanings everyday at a specific time and specific rooms. This makes it very easy to use. The charging unit has a compartment where you add the cleaning solution. It also has a compartment where all the dirty water is is placed after cleaning. This makes it easy to discard the dirty water. Overall this is a great robo unit. I would recommend this unit to anyone in the market to purchase a robo vacuum and mop combo.
