Review of shark fan
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had the expectation that the fan was capable of generating cool air and not just reutilizing the air of its environment. The temperature control with the use of the heater was misleading to think it also worked with the cool function

Cool and Heat, Great Design and Amazing Value
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Shark TubroBlade Cool + Heat fan and heater tower is really impressive. It arrived well protected for shipping and was very easy to put together. The directions are on the top flaps of the box and require a basic assembly. The included remote magnetically attaches to the unit and you can also control all functions with the touch screen on the front. There is also a removable vent so that any dust can be easily cleaned. The bladeless fan vents twist and pivot to direct air where you want it. The fan functions are incredible. Being able to target airflow to a specific place is something very few fans can do. This does it so well. It can also fill a very large room and is much more quiet than I expected it to be. There are ten fan settings and I’m excited to try the sleep and natural breeze modes in the summer. Sleep mode is a quiet mode and natural breeze is a varying power mode to mimic a breeze. This will be amazing for adding white noise. The vent in the middle is used for heating. As it is now cooler weather where I live, I’ve been taking advantage of the heating every day. There are heat modes of comfort, focus, and Thermo IQ. Comfort is a more ambient heat, focus allows you to target an area, and Thermo IQ uses the built in thermostat to keep the room at a set temperature. I’ve been really enjoying the Thermo IQ setting in a medium sized room. It allows me to heat just one room instead of the entire house and keeps it at a constant comfortable setting. The look is unique, and I find it looks best in the vertical configuration, but the advantages of the horizontal blades is so very functional. The fan tower has many features, works well for heating and cooling, and is an excellent value compared to the competitors.

just Ok
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Puts out fairly good heat, easy to put together, quality is just ok. But if you want to heat your living space while your gone, it automatically shuts off after 8 hrs. It's not as easy to take apart. But back to Bestbuy it went.

Posted .Hi there,
Thank you for sharing your experience. We’re glad to hear the TurboBlade was easy to assemble and provided good heat, but we’re sorry the auto shut-off and design didn’t meet your expectations. The unit automatically turns off after the timer runs out, which may have been set on your remote. To deselect the timer, press the timer button until it shows “0.” We appreciate your feedback and hope you’ll choose Shark again in the future.

Heats very well, and moves lots of air
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This review is for the Shark - TurboBlade Cool + Heat - Ultra-customizable bladeless tower fan & heater, pivots, twists, oscillates up to 180. Unboxing and setup was super easy and quick. This fan/heater is packed with options and comes with an easy to operate remote control. In our home we have one room that is always cold when hot outside and hot when cool outside. So this time of year the room is very cold compared to the rest of the house. So we have mainly been using the heat feature. And it has worked great.much like the thermostat for your HVAC system, you can just pick a temperature that is comfortable with and the unit will heat up to that temperature and hold it. Turning on and off as needed to keep that setting. It can also oscillate up to 180 degrees, this with the fan blades that twists up and down makes it easy to mix up all the air in a room. Helping make the temperature even throughout the entire room. You can control some of the options on the unit it self, like fan speed and temp, But you will need the remote for all of the options and modes. It has 10 fan speeds to pick from. And moves a lot of air. This is a very powerful unit and I have been very happy with it so far.

Quick Setup, Solid Performance!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This 2‑in‑1 tower fan by Shark is overall pretty solid, I’d say. Assembly was a breeze — five minutes tops — and then it was plug‑and‑play. The included remote comes pre‑synced, so you can start controlling it right away and adjust the settings to your liking without any hassle. One feature I really appreciate is the flexibility: you can face the fan in whatever direction you want, and the fins can be angled however works best for you. That’s actually a first for me, and it’s been fun to play around with this kind of tech. The heating portion definitely does its job — it warms you up quickly without blasting noise. It’s not whisper‑quiet, but it’s far from obnoxious. Safety features are another big win. It has automatic shut‑off, plus it powers down if it tips over. That kind of peace of mind is huge when you’re dealing with a heater. On top of that, it oscillates, it’s programmable, and so far it’s been extremely reliable. Now, if I had to nitpick, I do wish the center exhaust and the fins both expelled warm air. The heat output is sufficient, but it would be nice to direct it in multiple directions — especially since the fins already work in fan mode. That’s one area where I think Shark could improve. Bonus points: it’s surprisingly useful outdoors. I wouldn’t run it in the rain or in extreme weather, but I’ve used it outside with friends to take the chill off, and it worked great. Kept us from shivering, which is saying something because growing up in the desert makes you a total wimp when winter rolls around. All in all, it’s a great product — especially if you catch it on sale.

Perfect for the one room that gets too hot or cold
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Shark TurboBlade Cool + Heat tower fan has quickly become a family favorite, especially for my wife and son. At first glance it looks like a sleek, modern fan, but we use the heating function to ensure our son is warm throughout the night without having to turn on the heat for the whole house. Being in the south west, our houses don’t have radiators and the heating solution for our home is done through the AC ducts in the ceiling. Everyone knows heat rises, and this is one of the most inefficient ways to heat a home, let alone a room. The cooling mode is what I expect out of a fan and we will use it during the summer in our son’s room for the same reason he needs the heater in his room. The airflow is strong, smooth, and not too loud. The customizable temperature setting along with various airflow options the TurboBlade Tower fan offers enables us to ensure our son is nice and warm, but not overwhelmingly so. In addition you can adjust temperature gradients, schedule run times, and even save presets for different times of day. The display is clean, the controls respond instantly, and the overall build quality feels premium without being bulky or fragile. The noise level stays surprisingly low and acts like a not too loud white noise machine for our son. Overall this tower fan fits a specific need in our household. We do not have a mini split system where we can heat or cool a single room and the Shark TurboBlade Cool + Heat ends up being more cost and energy efficient for us and ensures our son is nice and cozy, in the winter or summer time.

Great Fan and Heater Combo!!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Shark - TurboBlade Cool + Heat 2-in-1 Blade is really sleek looking and overall a great buy at Best Buy. The fan and the heat portion are both very good. Now it does say cool, but it is only a fan, not a refrigerated air unit. However, the fan has plenty of power. What is also very neat about this unit is you can position the head to be vertial or horizontal. The tips on the head can also be positioned to face outward or at a 90-degree angle. The rotating pattern on this unit is great because it has several options to choose from, or I can use the remote and just have it stay in one spot. The heater on this unit works phenomenally well. It can get a 20 x20 room from 60 degrees to approximately 80 degrees in an a couple of hours without a problem what so ever. The unit can be controlled using the remote or using the controls on the unit itself. It does come with a base plate, which allows the unit to rotate. I would suggest reading all the warning labels, but most of all if the user decides to have it work as a fan and as the head horizontal, make sure there is adequate room for the movement of the head. This is a great product, and I do highly recommend it.

Hot or Iced?
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I figured it was only a matter of time before Shark followed in the steps of its luxury British inspiration and followed it from the vacuum sphere into small heating and cooling appliances. Featuring the same ‘bladeless’ design that uses a turbine to generate air pressure forced through thin vents, the Shark TurboBlade Cool + Heat is an all-in-one space heater and air circulator aiming to provide flexible, efficient supplemental HVAC in your home. With more adjustability and control than its competition, the TurboBlade tries to do it all…a lofty goal given a space heater usually makes for a poor air circulator, and a good air circulator usually makes for a poor space heater. Color me surprised that it doesn’t compromise on either, and is the perfect appliance I’ve been needing for a specific space in my home. - Important Safety Note ALWAYS PLUG A SPACE HEATER DIRECTLY INTO THE WALL. A space heater continuously draws just about the maximum power a typical home circuit breaker can handle. Extension cords, power strips, surge protectors, outlet taps, and other in-between devices are almost never built to the appropriate spec to handle the high-level power draw of a space heater and can rapidly overheat, leading to a risk of fire. Older homes should also be inspected to ensure the circuit breaker and in-wall wiring are capable of safely powering a space heater. When in doubt, contact a licensed electrician. - Unboxing and Setup For how large the TurboBlade is when fully assembled and on display at the store, I was surprised by how small the box is and expected a hassle to assemble. The cleverly designed packaging has minimal voidspace and is very well laid out to protect all the major assemblies, and the assembly guide on the inner flap of the box shows the handful of steps needed to assemble the TurboBlade. Taking my time and going slow to ensure I got all the protective tapes and films removed, the tool-free, snap-together assembly took just ten minutes. In a refreshing change for small “smart” appliances, the TurboBlade does not have an app and instead is controlled entirely through the front control panel or remote (trust me, I can’t believe I’m calling this out as a positive, either). Both the remote and control panel access the same functions, though the remote can rotate the stand in about 15 degree increments for better directing airflow to where you want it. The remote is magnetic and attaches to the rear of the TurboBlade’s turbine fan when not in use. - Heating performance As it’s the dead of winter in the Northeast at the time of this review, I went straight to the heat mode in my home office. I usually run a space heater in the 11x13 room during the workday since I only have one-zone heat for the house; there’s no need to run the furnace if I’m only going to be in one room for most of it. Powering up the heat for the first time, I was somewhat disappointed to find only the center grille delivers heat, since I was expecting the heat to come from the fan blades. I set the rotation to a 90 degree spread and got to work. Despite the small port for heat delivery, almost immediately I was impressed by just how much heat and air the TurboBlade provides in the high-power “Focus” mode. Whereas I would usually run my small space heater at full power for about 20 minutes to make the room feel comfortably warm, it was only about 7 or 8 minutes before I was too warm and had to turn the TurboBlade off. The tower’s ability to move air is extremely impressive, pushing the warmth out to every corner of the room and evenly dispersing the heat better than any space heater I’d used before. It’s also surprisingly quiet in use, making so little noise it couldn’t be heard in the background of calls on my conference speaker. Good stuff. Being able to adjust the direction of the grille vents helps a lot to put the heat exactly where you want it. On a particularly cold night where I moved the heater into my 12x16 master bedroom, my fiancee and I aimed the heater at the top of our bed at a distance of about 5 feet and used the “Comfort” setting with a 45-degree oscillation to warm up while reading before bed. Again, the TurboBlade took no time making us so warm that we had to power it down, and the noise level was so low we could have easily drifted off. Fortunately the TurboBlade has a maximum runtime of 8 hours before it automatically shuts off as a last resort. One small point I feel the TurboBlade could improve upon is its cooldown logic. With such concentrated heat, the center grille gets very hot and like most space heaters will run the fan for a short while after receiving the power off command to move air past the hot coils and cool them down. The TurboBlade’s cooldown only runs for a few seconds, and I would’ve preferred it run for at least 15 like my other space heater does. - Cooling performance Flip the lever on the side of the center grille, and the TurboBlade switches from space heater mode to fan mode. Ten fan speeds seems like overkill for a fan, but the amount of air this thing can move warrants it. Though a little louder than the heater at low to medium speeds, the TurboBlade can effectively circulate air through an entire room with little effort. At high speeds, though noisy, the fan can make it feel like gusty winds are rolling through my office - a feat made all the more impressive by the single intake mounted in the TurboBlade’s base behind a washable filter. The best part about the fan mode is just how easy it is to direct air where you want it to go. Beyond setting the fan arms to be vertical or horizontal, both arms independently rotate in steps on their long axis, so you could aim them to push air up, down, or both in horizontal mode, or point them in opposite directions in vertical mode to create 360-degree coverage with the base oscillating at 180 degrees. The TurboBlade is better suited to cooling larger spaces than it is heating them. At higher fan speeds I can feel the breeze this tower generates from nearly 20 feet away, making it excellent for use in my combined great room and kitchen. The turbine and air blade noise can be distracting at the highest fan speeds, but it’s no worse than other bladeless towers I’ve experienced. - Bottom Line Shark’s multi-purpose TurboBlade Cool + Heat is a well-designed, versatile all rounder that, especially as a heater, makes the most of the meager power budget that a 120V AC outlet and circuit can provide. I thought all space heaters were the same but it’s clear that moving the air efficiently through the room does much more than a radiant, stationary heater does, and the fact the TurboBlade switches to an incredibly effective air circulator with the flip of a switch makes this a great buy for those spaces in your home that the HVAC system can’t quite keep up with; in my case, a basement that is a craft workshop for my fiancee. The TurboBlade is exactly what we’ve been looking for for that space. The only thing left to consider is the value proposition, and this is trickier than it should be as the MSRP does not seem indicative of the typical price. At $399 this is a much tougher sell than at $299, but this appears to be the current standard price with sales bringing it lower. Assuming $299 or less, the TurboBlade Cool + Heat comes recommended!
