This is a really great vacuum cleaner, better than my Dyson ball!

I have a new puppy it’s great on picking up her hair, the carpet height adjustment is the main reason I choose this item.

The Dyson canister vacuum is just wonderful. It is so easy to maneuver, picks up dust you have no idea that your home has and the cord is extra long so you can clean from room to room before needing to unplug. I’m so impressed with this vacuum! *****

This vacuum has a great combination of suction power and easy to use features. Pros + Easy assembly - I didn't even use the included quick start guide - everything just clicks together. + Powerful suction - despite regular cleaning prior to using this vacuum, I was amazed at how much dirt it picked up. + Stylish - my wife loves the rose gold accents. + Lift away feature allows you to detach the motor and dust canister from the lower portion of the vacuum - making it easy to carry it around to clean things with the wand or to allow you to use the brush head to clean areas where the dust canister would get in the way. + Power brush accessory that attaches to the wand allows you to use a spinning brush to clean areas that would be hard to clean with a normal vacuum. Using the lift away feature and the power brush attachment I was able to clean the carpet under my low bed and on the stairs much better than I could with the wand alone. + Dust cup is easy to remove and dump. It is hinged at the bottom, so you just hold it above the trash can and push the clip to dump it. + The slide switch for selecting surface type has 3 modes (hard surface, low carpet, area rug/thick carpet) and is located right on the handle next to the power button. This is really convenient in my open-concept house that has a mix of carpet, rugs and hard surfaces all in the same area. + The buttons for every feature are well labeled and work with a nice solid click. + LED lights on the front are bright and really help light up areas around and under furniture where things might be missed in the shadows. + On-board storage for the brush and crevice tool. + When you tilt the handle back the brushes start spinning and when you return it to the upright position they stop - my old vacuum didn't have this feature and you had to be careful not to damage the carpet if using the wand or repositioning the cord with it still on. + Rollers are easy to clean and really do avoid getting wrapped in hair (my house has 3 girls and a dog so there is no shortage of hair to pick up). My daughter did manage to get a piece of yarn wrapped around the roller, but it was easy to click out and unwrap. There is even a light that shows the status of the rollers and the motor in case they get stuck. Things to Consider + It isn't any louder than my old vacuum, but it isn't quiet. The power brush accessory is air powered and is noisy. + It is easy to roll around and maneuver, but it has some weight to it. It isn't bad, but it is noticeable if you are moving it up and downstairs to clean. And if it is an issue you can use the lift away feature to split it into lighter pieces. + There is no on-board storage for the power brush accessory. + When I first used it the vacuum it had a little bit of a rubber or plastic smell to it. It is my favorite vacuum I have owned, and it is easy to recommend.

This vacuum is very powerful. It works great on different carpets and especially on hardwood.

Easy to setup and use. Deep cleans, no hair wrapped around a brush and easy to empty.

Shark produces quality products and this one is no exception. 5 humans, 3 dogs, one tortoise. We depend on shark.

This is a great cleaner and it works well if living in an apartment space (small space) :)

So I brought it home and it worked great. It had great suction and seamed pretty user friendly. However, I didn’t like where the suction was located when using floor cleanup . My old vacuum sucked from the front edge. This one however sucks from a little further back, almost center. Also it like pulls you across the floor, I was having close calls almost running into furniture because of this. My poor rating of this vacuum however comes from the fact that shortly after I brought it home it, it stopped working. Wouldn’t turn on no matter what I did. Until I turned it over on its side, then it started back up? Very odd, and obviously sketched me out.

Bottom of the vacuum does not spin. After 4 Months Shark is making us BUY the part because they do not warranty it. How can we be required to buy a shark part in 4 months if it has a 5 year warranty? Because it is extremely limited. Buyer beware ask questions. Customer service is weak as well, hours on the phone. Hung up on too. Just a real bad experience.

Broken at 8months.. the spinning wheel stopped spinning. We don’t own pets.. I have cleaned it and taken care of it. And for a $326 vacuum to last 8 months is crazy. We can’t get ahold of anyone for the warranty or Best Buy can’t do returns. What a waste of money.

Verdict. The Shark Vertex DuoClean PowerFins Upright Vacuum innovates in its design and impresses with its suction. It’s the best vacuum we’ve ever had. First impression. Upon opening the box, there is an assembly guide on the box flap to help assemble the vacuum. It was easy to put the machine together, taking less than 5 minutes. As I put the vacuum together, I was really impressed with the innovative design. There are so many cool, convenient, and modern features on this machine. I have to say that the vacuum is pretty heavy, but that is to be expected for a high-powered vacuum. Full size feature. When fully assembled, the vacuum stands on its own which is really nice. The power button allows for switching from bare floor, to carpet, to high pile carpet. Suction is fantastic, and combined with the power brush, it cleans very well. The pick-up performance outperforms all other vacuums we’ve had. Our favorite feature is that the vacuum will fully lay back so that you can get under furniture easily. If clearance is low, you can remove the dust cylinder at the press of a button, and vacuum under chairs and couches, while benefiting from the full power of a heavy-duty vacuum. Portable features. This vacuum allows for many portable configurations. As noted above, you can remove the dust cylinder and hold it while you use the upright vacuum with its full power. You can also quickly remove the wand and attach one of three attachments for specialized cleaning and extended reach. Lastly, you can remove the handle and add an attachment for close-up cleaning. The included attachments are good, particularly the small spinning power brush. Suctions & dust cup. The suction performance is exceptional. The vacuum is able to maintain suction even when the dust cup gets full. The suction cup easily pops off at the push of a button, and the handle makes it easy to carry to the trash. The suction cup then benefits from two release doors: one at the top and one at the bottom for easy emptying. The bottom door makes dumping in the trash super easy, while the top door allows removal of dog hair or any other trash that is stuck in the dust cup. What I love. - It is a decent looking vacuum - The self-cleaning brush works well - Strong suction - Fantastic functionality - Really well designed What I don’t love. - There are only two attachment holders from what I can tell, which means one of the attachments will have to be stored somewhere else Conclusion. This is a fantastic vacuum… as good as it gets: it’s powerful, versatile, convenient, and very well designed. It is pricey, but on par with, or better, than any vacuum at this price range.
