Is this really necessary?

It is what it is so I don't have much to say other than, is this really necessary? I would think for the high price I paid for a brand new Bosch dishwasher they could include a power cord and water line, I don't get why this is not included by the manufacturer, in my case the water line was included. I had Best Buy install the washer for me and he only needed to to use the power cord. Not sure the cost of this kit was worth it for just a power cord I could have got from lowes for a fraction of the price. I guess if you know what you are doing and are installing the dishwater yourself you could save some cash by just buying the cords/lines that you actually need from your local DIY store.
