Sonos is no longer worth it
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Do not buy this product. Sonos used to be a great company with great product now its hardware is terrible. The setup on this is awful. It does not work. It is even built in to the setup up with a note upon completion that the devise may not appear in your system. Then the customer has to spend hours trouble shooting. The app is also now terrible to use. Sonos used to be intuitive and easy to use which made its product great and now it is so bad I’ll never buy their product again.

Great product, but poor Subwoofer output
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ticked all the boxes , for compactness, style, build quality, huge power o/p at both 8 Ohm & 4Ohm speaker impedences, Airplay2 support , functional Sonos app etc but doesnt have any significant subwoofer o/p,when connected to third party subwoofers. It may work fine with Sonos Sub, but seems there is a design issue(or software bug) that results in a very small power o/p when driving third party subs, that works fine other receivers. So not suitable for 2.1 listening with a thirdy party Subwoofer. This is reported by other Sonos Amp users in Sonos forum as well, with no permanent resolution.

Too expensive, not enough speaker inputs
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Its a great amp but it is ridiculous they don’t offer one with more inputs for more speakers. Its way too expensive.

Good Product with Flaws
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you use this for both listening to music and for listening to TV - you need to be aware that after listening to music you must go back into the app and switch the "room" back to TV or you will not get sound from the TV. If you have the app open you'll get a warning. If you start music via Alexa you will not. Which brings me to my second major complaint - there is essentially no user guide with anything useful beyond setup instructions. I had to find the switch back to TV trick from numerous searches and could not find anything definitive on the SONOS site. There are many user "solutions" to the issue so beware what you try. Switching back to TV via the app works for me.

Great, when it works....
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Going on two years of frustration with my two Sonos amps. They will work great for weeks then suddenly for no apparent reason they just stop working. System resets don't work. Worked through all of the trouble shooting steps. Spent hours on the phone with customer support. So I just won't use them for a while then just as sudden as they stop working, they work perfectly again for weeks, sometimes months, then repeat.... For something as expensive as they are, I expect to be able to listen to music when I want to listen to music, not when the amps or the app decide they want to work. I would never buy these again, unfortunately I'm stuck with them, don't make the same mistake...

Posted .I sincerely apologize for the ongoing frustration you've faced with your Sonos amps. I understand how disappointing it must be to invest in a premium product and experience such unpredictable performance, especially when it disrupts something as important as enjoying music. It sounds like you've already dedicated considerable time to troubleshooting and working with customer support, and I'm truly sorry that the issue has persisted.
To address this recurring problem, I recommend trying the following steps, if not already attempted:
Network Stability Check: Sonos systems are sensitive to network fluctuations. Ensure your network is stable, with no interruptions in Wi-Fi or wired connections, as this can lead to sporadic performance issues.
Wired Connection Option: If your amps are connected wirelessly, try using an Ethernet connection for a more stable and reliable connection. This can help rule out any interference or weak signals that might be affecting your system.
IP Address Reservation: You can also reserve an IP address for the amps in your router settings to prevent any network confusion or conflicts, which can cause devices to disappear and reappear randomly.
If these suggestions don’t resolve the issue, I recommend escalating the case with Sonos support to explore other solutions. You can reach us at support.sonos.com. Your experience is not what we strive for, and I want to ensure that you get the performance you deserve from your investment.
Thank you for your patience and for sharing your feedback. It helps us improve both our products and support.

SONOS System For Sale! Cheap!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.SONOS products are built to quality standards, but the software the controls them is HORRIBLE! Every time I go to fire it up, I have to do software updates. NOW, the whole system is failing to connect to my WiFi. It was previously it's own mesh system. NOW, NONE of the speakers are working. Going through a ridiculous process of setting up everything again. What a terrible mistake this sonos system has been!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Died after 14 months
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just know that the warranty is 1 yr. Mine died after 14 months and Sonos said I’d have to buy a new one. They offered me a 30% discount. Also the support is just an Indian call center.

Posted .We are truly sorry to hear about your experience with your Sonos Amp and the frustrations regarding the warranty and support. It’s never ideal when a product encounters issues just outside the warranty period, and I can understand your disappointment.
While we do offer a 1-year warranty, it's unfortunate that your Amp had problems after 14 months. We are glad to hear that our team provided a 30% discount as an option, but we also understand that this may not feel like enough given the circumstances.
Your feedback about the support experience is valuable, and we’re always working to improve our service to meet customer expectations. We appreciate your patience and loyalty to Sonos, and we hope to find a solution that works for you. Feel free to reach out at support.sonos.com.

Support is horrible.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased 3 Sonos AMPs 3 years ago and I just got an email that they are going to discontinue support for the product. I would never invest in any Sonos product unless you want to have to replace it every 3-5 years.

Posted .Thank you for being a Sonos owner! Since you purchased your new in box Amps in the last three years they should not be impacted by end of software support. The only Connect:Amps that are impacted by our end of software updates announcement were manufactured prior to 2015. Please visit sonos.com and log into your account. Click on My System and each of your players will be displayed and show if they are in fact impacted by this announcement. If any part of your system is impacted, it will continue to function just as it does once we end software updates in May. You can get more details of this at blog.sonos.com which included our initial announcement and some clarifying remarks as well!
