Great sound, and a very quality-feeling build. Sounds great on its own, but add a sub and a couple Play 1s and you have an amazing surround sound system, excellent for both movies and listening to music.

Overall I think this sound bar topped all the other brands in sound quality, if you pair it up with the subwoofer and two Sonos 1 or 5 for surround sound. It plays pretty loud without distortion. Dolby digital movies really sound great. 5.1 not capable of 7.1 The system does however lack inputs with only one on the bar which would come from the tv. The app does work pretty well making set up easy as it is not like you might be used to with analog systems using a bunch of audio cables. All speakers work off of network using a typical network cable or WiFi and the speakers do need to be plugged in to an electrical outlet. I’m a little disappointed that the bar does not come with a remote control nor does it support a Bluetooth input. You are however able to add music services such as amazon music, Apple Music, etc to the sonos app and play through the sonos app using your cell or tablet. It’s very different than you may be used to but once you get the hang of it you will like it. The cost is quite high but I guess you get what you pay for. I’m looking forward to adding to the system so that I can play in other rooms or outside. The first addition will be the WiFi boost since the sonos seems to bog down my connection on other WiFi devices in the house.

The Soundbar provides great stereo sound with near surround quality and is a great upgrade over the stock speakers on my flatscreen, and was an elegant solution to get better quality sound for my wall mounted TV in my living area. It looks great, and while it is an expensive unit, it delivers superior sound quality. This is a luxury item, and the cost reflects not just the design and sound quality, but also the time put into making the software interface easy to control and set up. You have lots of options for expansion, and I love being able to switch the speaker from to TV to play anything I want from my smartphone. Very easy to mount on the wall with the optional bracket.

I tried out both the Sonos play bar and the Bose sound bar. I ended up with the playbar as it was much easier to set up. In addition it allowed me to use my TiVo remote to increase and decrease the volume on my play bar. With the Bose you had to use their remote for the sound bar. The last thing I needed was another remote to watch TV

I never dreamed I would pay so much for a soundbar, but it is so worth the money. Sound is incredible and bounces all over the room. I keep thinking someone is coming in the house.This is what sound is supposed to be. Love that I can control with my cell phone too.

We have slowly been adding Sonos speakers around the house and love their quality and portability. We decided to add the sound bar as the permanent sound for our basement family room and bar area. It has been a great addition. With the design of this room it was difficult to hear the television if watching a movie unless you were sitting directly in front of it. Now the sound is clear and can be enjoyed from any where in the basement. And if we want to we can bring in the other speakers to make it more of a surround sound set up and still use them in the various other areas of our house as we see fit. Plus I like that we can put music on in one room and it will now play through the sound bar as well if and when we want it to, so no more moving speakers to basement when the party moves its way downstairs.

Please note, I haven't owned too many Sound Bars, but the Sonos one I bought really kicks butt! The sound quality is very clear. I would recommend this system, a little bit pricey.
