Was hesitant to spend that $700 on it but now that I have it. I use it when I'm cleaning around the house, parties and everyday tv use. It's an awesome product I can't wait to add more it.

2 Stars for Best Buy, 5 Stars for Sonos Playbar

The 2 stars is for Best Buy service and not the Sonos Playbar. I ordered an open box excellent condition. I was disappointed to see the package arrived in the original box with no over pack box for protection from damage. Not sure if this is Standard for Best Buy but having paid a hefty price I would expect a little more packaging. I was more disappointed after opening the box to find all original accessories were not included as stated in the description. Only the power cord which was attached to the soundbar already and individually packaged. I called customer service and no solution was given but to take to the store. So I had to take it to the store and they provided me the accessories needed. All in all this was not a pleasant buying experience and quite a hassle. Most likely I will avoiding Best Buy for future electronic purchases.
As for the Sonos Playbar I give it 5 stars. I'll keep it short. This sounds great and worth the money. Just my opinion.

What a great sound bar! This is my 4th Sonos product this year and I'm super happy with the purchase. Movie sound great and I also like to cast music from Alexa. I definitely recommend the sub along with it.

First sound bar. Taking word from sales associate that this bar was worth the price.
Geek squad was outstanding, however, the soundbar was installed upside down. Minor detail as SONOS still looks like SONOS upside down and audio is not effected.

I wholeheartedly recommend this product to anyone who is looking to go wireless with their system or who wants a great sounding SoundBar. Alone, this is one of the best soundbars on the market. Great volume, bass and tweeters make this bar a vast improvement to normal tv volume. The third channel (center channel) is the kicker here, dialog is so much clearer than any 2.0 bar I've had in the past. Add in the Sonos Sub and a couple of Play 1s or Play 3s, then you've got the best wireless system available.
Price is pretty steep, but for everything this thing can do and how great it sounds as a unit, it is worth every penny. As for drawbacks, there aren't as many EQ settings as you'd expect for the amount of money paid, that's because they want to make it simple for the most basic user, but the quality of sound makes this a premium product. Add in the ability to group rooms together for multi room listening, then you have a very unique product. Also, the demo kiosk at Best Buy or anywhere does this product no justice, this sounds a million times better at your home than what it does in the store. The best wireless system on the market, anchored by one of the best SoundBars on the market.

As with the newer generation of televisions, an increase in screen quality means a lack in audio quality.
I decided to purchase the Sonos Playbar after a few months of research.
Pros:
Beautiful, room filling sound.
Great bass (even without the sub)
Easy set-up (just follow the instructions on the App)
Cons:
The price
large footprint on your entertainment center
Overall I'm very happy with the purchase. Eventually I will add the Sub and other speakers to make a full 5.1 surround.

The playbar checks off a lot of boxes while falling short on a few others. I'll run through a few pros and cons of the speaker:
Pros-
Great sound. Blows away a $250 Samsung sound bar I also own.
Ease of use. Only one connection on the back to hook up (optical cable) means this thing will be up and running in no time.
No remote. I thought I wouldn't like this but I really enjoy not having yet another remote in the living room and controlling from your phone is very easy. It also has really neat Night mode (reduced loud sounds) and enhanced speech modes in the app.
Music. This thing sounds even better blasting out music. It has good bass for a sound bar but it doesn't really stand out until you turn it up.
Cons:
Expensive (subjective but $700 for a sound bar is too high in my opinion)
No sub included. You want room shaking bass? That's another $700 on top of the $700 play bar. Most people will be happy with the bass the playbar puts out on its own but you won't get that theater sound without it. It may be worth it. The sub seems to be the highest rated Sonos product on this site.
Only Dolby Digital support - No Atmos, DD+, nothing. No transcoding on the device. The optical cable could technically support these but since the playbar does not it won't put these sounds out. You could attach a blu-ray player or device that will transcode these but you're still only going to get Dolby Digital. This could be a deal breaker for some.
This is a mixed bag of pros and cons. I purchased this knowing the limitations and I'm still very happy with it. Even with all the things I can list that bother me about it I still find myself thinking about how awesome it is. I have two Sonos play ones set up as surround sound and it really packs a punch. On signals that are not DD, they will provide a simulated surround sound and it's actually pretty solid. What really gets me is the ease of swapping from watching TV to pumping out music (where the system really shines) and it's very easy from the Sonos app. Be warned about the items I mention above. There also seems to be a slight learning curve. I was set on returning all of this and going with a traditional wired set up but I'm so glad I didn't.

I am unbelievably happy with this product. I paired it with the sub and play one speakers right off the bat. It was a hard pill to swallow spending $2300 (bought a connect right away as well) on what seemed to be nothing as far as surround sound goes. But boy am I glad I did, the quality and ease of set up made this whole system worth every penny. I've had a few different systems including Bose, this exceeded the sound of that easily. And the kicker (and quite frankly my favorite part) NO HOLES, WIRES, OR SWEARING setting it up!! I even recently changed wifi providers and making the transition was simple. Seriously had this system set up and running in 30 minutes out of the box. And being able to switch from tv to the music on my iPhone in seconds it great. Just download the sonos app and the controls are in your hands. No remotes to worry about.

If you have read all of the great SONOS reviews, you can believe them all. First and foremost the sound is exceptional. Super easy to set up and expand the system. I downloaded the setup app to my computer and to all the phones in the house and instantly had access to my music library stored in iTunes. Hook up to our 65" 4K TV was quick and easy using just one fiber optic line. Now the sound matches the great picture. We paired the 9-speaker soundbar (Sonos calls it the Playbar) with two SONOS 3 units. The wireless connection through our home network was a breeze...SONOS did most of the work. Can easily group all speakers for whole house sound or play individually. We chose to skip the subwoofer and don't miss it at all. On 'movie night' we bring the two SONOS 3 units into the family room and do a quick change to surround sound.
The TruPlay feature will optimize each satellite speaker to the individual room. The app is very user friendly and each person in the house can control their speaker. Can adjust volume and playlist by room, which is a great feature if anyone has the volume cranked a bit to high. No lag time between speakers when playing whole house audio. Yes, the SONOS is priced higher than most soundbars, but in my opinion well worth the investment. The only downside I can find is that Spotify music requires a premium subscription for SONOS. We will always be on the lookout for open box units to further expand our system because SONOS doesn't go on sale.

We were installing a new entertainment center and decided to get all new home theater equipment. We were very interested in Sonos because of their wireless technology. Previously we had Bose home theater products. We have been blown away with how much better we like the Sonos system. It is very intuitive to set up and use. And the sound is fantastic.....much better than Bose in our opinion. We have had no problems with the Sonos system and highly recommend it.

I was in search of a soundbar for my husband that not only had great sound but was easy to install and user friendly for the family. The Sonos soundbar has far exceeded my expectations. The crisp, clear sound is also a plus. My family can all control the soundbar just by using our phone. We have linked our music, iheart accts and Pandora accts to Sonos and it's wonderful. All wireless is also another bonus. Don't let the price scare you. It is well worth every penny!!

Originally I purchased a samsung Harmn Kardon Q70r and after about 1 week I returned it due to the sound quality. I did my research on Bose and Sonos and after researching and reading reviews etc, Sonos has beat everyone out for my taste and price point. Picked it up at my local Best Buy store and set it up within 1 hr including wifi and sound tuning etc. I purchased both the playbar and ths sub. Immediately when I lifted the playbar out of the box it felt SOLID and good, and the same with the Sub. They were both absolutely BEAUTIFUL and felt and looked like top quality and upper eschelon of soundbars. After setting it up and watching 5 minutes of a movie I was impressed. The sound was excellent and crystal clear and the Sub had deep , rich bass which I was looking for. I then decided to play Victory Lap by Nipsey Hussle and was BLOWN away and thats when I knew I made a solid purchase. There is no distortion, or rattle or any other sounds besides deep, rich, and clear bass and music. I love this product and recommend to anyone looking for a new soundbar to complement their TV. I will say the price was a bit steep, but I’m a firm believer in you get what you pay for. Glad I purchased this and to anyone in the market looking to buy this product, don’t hesitate!

This Playbar Sounds incredible and easy to setup! I had been skeptical about the Sonos wireless sound quality but have been EXTREMELY impressed! I have had much more elaborate home $ystems in the past (Crestron), and have been very impressed with the quality and ease of expandability and versatility of set up and use on the fly! Will likely add a few more speakers to our system! A great solution that competition doesn't come close to.

Purchased the Sonos Playbar with 2 Sonos Play 1s and the Sonos Sub to have a 5.1 surround in my living room. It took longer to open the box then it did to set up the wireless speakers. The app walks you through each step and with out issue. It just works exactly like its supposed too. The sound is GREAT! so much so that I went and bought another Playbar for a bedroom tv. They are a little on the expensive side and you can probably find other product that sound just as good for a little cheaper, but they wont be wireless and they wont have the versatility of Sonos. I can stream music from my favorite online streaming services throughout the entire house and control it all from my phone/tablet. House parties have never been the same. I Highly recommend again and again.
