I read reviews and compared different brands and went with this one as a gift to my hubby. He LOVED it! Pretty sure he has played with it in store about 50 times. Other reviews mentioned the built in sub isn't the best and honestly I would agree with that, but it's still very, very good. That's the reason for the 4 stars vs 5. We went from an older Sony full surround system to just this bar and it gives us the same sound (minus the back speakers- a later purchase). Hubz has his alarm on his cell go off on the sonos bar in the living room with music and it's been nice waking up to that too... Easy to use, easy to install and easy to setup on your phone.

Overall great sound bar for TV and music streaming however if you you want really good sound effects you need to add the bass for another $799 making the system bit pricy, also a big issue for me, you can't control volume on my new Samsung TV from the remote, volume is controled only with phone app or the device itself.

I set out to replace my Bose surround sound system after I moved into my house where there are no speaker wires in the wall. Sonos was the answer! Setup was super easy and straight forward and the sound quality is spectacular!

I didn't know anything about Sonos before buying this Soundbar. The more I learned the happier I am that I purchased this! Setup was simple. Download an app for iphone or android, follow the directions. Everything in the install was perfect. The instructions were clear. With Sonos, we can add other speakers to it to add Subwoofer, rear speakers or speakers located thru the house. This Soundbar has 9 speakers but it is Left, Right and Center channel. The sound is amazing, the bass is ok but that will change when we add a subwoofer. This integrated with our TV flawlessly. Great product!

I spent an hour listening to different sound bars in the Best Buy store before settling on the Sonos Playbar. In the end, the sound from the Playbar was just far, far superior to anything else. The range and clarity, and even the bass level, without a subwoofer, are amazing. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is the lack of an analog or Bluetooth input. The Playbar connects to your TV via a fiber optic cable, which is great, but when using it as a speaker, you have to use the somewhat clunky Sonos app to play your music over the Playbar, which is less than convenient. Or, you need to buy the new Play:5, which has an analog input, and network them together. But there is no way to play music over the Soundbar alone except through the Sonos app - which does not interface with Apple Music. But the sound you get from the Sonos speakers is far superior to anything else in its price range, so I deal with the inconvenience of its network configuration.

It took me over a month to decide which playbar would work best with my Samsung 65 TV. After a lot of checking for a playable that would give the best sound; work with my remote; and easy to setup. I purchased the SONOS. It was not a mistake... This player met all my expectations and more. If you are looking for a playable look no further.

Purchased the SONOS Playbar to enhancing the audio. Amazed by the ease of setup and the improvement in sound. The price was a significant amount of money for me to spend but I liked the ability to expand and how it could be manipulated throughout the house with ease.

We tried out a lot of different brands of the soundbars trying to find out which one to get. The reason we chose Sonos over a Bose system was that it is all completely wireless and you can add onto it throughout your house and outside. This soundbar is great. Having both the subwoofer and the soundbar, they really complement each other.

I purchased the Sonos Playbar Soundbar along with a Sonos Boost and subwoofer for use as a sound system for my HDTV. The sound is awesome, the sound flows throughout the living room. I would highly recommend the entire Sonos lineup to any audiophile that doesn't like having to run wires all over the house. Best wireless audio there is.

I replaced a Klipsch R-20B soundbar with Sonos...so the bar for soundbars was set very high for me. If you want amazing sound, go ahead and add the sub and rear speakers for 5.1 The sound is truly superb and set up is quick and easy. The Sonos app allows tremendous versatility for sound tailoring.

Sound quality is excellent as expected. I plan to expand my Sonos collection to eventually have whole home audio. However, I agree with other reviewers, if I only wanted a sound bar there are probably other less expensive options. Since I plan to add other speakers throughout my home this was the best choice and I couldn't be happier.

if you are low on space and need something small that has large sound, this is your setup. sub can hide behind or underneath something in the same room and still get that bottom end sound. can get loud and sound crystal clear at the same time. really is able to toss the sound back n forth like you had speakers left, middle and right even though its in one bar. APP is awesome and setup was a breeze. love how you can easily add speakers whenever you want as its on down via your wireless setup. really a good product. however i feel this setup would prob be priced right at about $1000 as opposed to $1400. if you get the wall mount, make sure your studs are not right down the middle of the where you will be mounting. that was my problem. so the wall mount didn't work. the mount is not notched to be able to run the cords behind if there is a stud dead center. hopefully that makes sense.

I set this system up in about 10 minutes. Super easy, excellent iPhone interface and the sound is amazing. Plus, it automatically plays sound from the TV when you turn the tv on. We have a small house, and the soundbar is the only speaker we really need. Fantastic purchase, even though a bit spendy. You pay for what you get!

This sound bar is amazing! Although I have an intercom system throughout the house it doesn't even come close to the sound the SONOS PLAYBAR puts out. Using my phone I can easily stream music from Pandora to the PLAYBAR effortlessly. The sound can be heard clearly throughout the whole house. I would def recommend getting this.

Purchased the Sonos soundbar as an addition to our 55" Samsung UHD TV based on the recommendation of our salesman. Perfect size, easy to set up and network. Now looking forward to adding in a subwoofer and 2 rear satellite speakers. Wireless set up eliminates the need to run cables (the obstacle to surround sound in the past)

Has amazing sound and very easy to set up. I bought the playbar and sub and been extremely satisfied. I went through 3 different sound systems prior to purchasing this item and they all wouldn't power on after awhile. Money is a bit more than what I was wanting to spend, but I feel I'm getting much more for my buck. I can add speakers at any time and It only takes a few minutes. All the music on my phone synced up to the Sono's app which makes it very easy to start playing music. I will be purchasing some Sonos one speakers or play 3 speakers soon to complete my living room surround and to add speakers to other rooms in the house. Amazing!!!!

Sonos is ahead of its time. The sound quality is superb to say the least. We have high ceilings in a large room and seating is far from our TV so battling with sound was a challenge. This play bar teamed with the sub is absolutely amazing! Plus using the phone app to set all of your room settings makes this system perfect.

I purchased this sound bar to replace a componet system that I had and which I wanted to eliminate so that I could mount my tv on the wall with limited wires for audio. I paired the playbar with 2 play1s that I already owned. The sound is pretty good, I'm lacking the sub that I had before so that might be taking some of the punch out of the audio. A Sonos Sub is on my wish list. As far as setup goes it's a no-brainer, each software release it gets easier and more feature rich. I used the Sonos Playbar mount connected to a Sanus full motion mount via the Rockfish sound bar attachment kit. The next project is to paint the wire cover and to program the Logitech remote.

Omg I don’t know what I did before I purchased the Sonos. I love the fact that I can play music that I have on my phone through the system and I can do it all through an app on my phone! It’s so easy! I’m adding more Sonos to my outdoor kitchen. The quality of sound is clear and crisp!

My wife and I had been looking for a wireless home system and decided to invest in Sonos. The set up is beyond easy. You take it out of the box, download the app, and you're up and listening. Sound quality sounds fantastic with both streaming music and with our TV. Highly recommend.
