Sound quality is great but u would have expected this to be louder

Purchased to upgrade my Sony STR-DE945 which still works well but built prior to HDMI so had to use optical and coax inputs and was not able to output to HDMI TV and switch HDMI inputs.. LG TV like many does not pass through audio so Streaming sticks were limited to stereo on previous SONY. Now have surround sound from streaming. Easy to set up and use.

East to install and set up. I really like the mic to automatically set up surround sound.

Plenty of hdmi inputs, Bluetooth and can support 7.2. The calibration mic works well. Only downside is that the receiver requires active hdmi since it is all screen based menus. I knew this before purchasing a is not a con for me.

Overall i'm happy with this unit given the price. It has a few "premium" features such as 5 way binding posts no the back (most lower priced receiver use a cheap connector). The on screen display via HDMI for things like volume, etc is a bit cheap/1990s looking but that's okay at this price point. Good sound. Haven't tried the SongPal option via Bluetooth, wasn't my main reason for buying this.

Simple but very good sound. Easy to set up. Sounds as good as my Pioneer or Onkyo.

I have a bigger receiver in my main entertainment room, but this receiver is perfect for my family room. It has plenty of power for the bookshelf speakers that it's paired with, and has all the options I may want to upgrade to in the future. I saw where someone else mentioned the lack of a separate TV power control, and that is a bit of a nuisance. We sometimes like to put on one of the cable music channels and leave the TV powered off, but we have to go through the sequence of turning off both the TV and Receiver, and then turn the Receiver back on. It works, it's just a nuisance getting there. Otherwise, it provides good, clear sound.

Bluetooth with iphone works flawless. I am very happy with the product for the price.

This Sony is a good receiver. The only negative is there is no A/B speaker switch. When reading the description it appeared that you could select A or B speakers. That is not the case. I had to attached my outside speakers to the front HI terminals to get music outside. Other that this issue it has been a good receiver. Blue Tooth works great.

I was in the market for a receiver in our movie / game room and this one fit the bill perfectly. I love how simple it is - no extra bells and whistles I don't care about, just sweet, sweet sound. The menus options are clear and concise and the sound is very clear and loud. There's options for on-screen overlays of volume level as well. It's also a very nice looking receiver as well.

Was relatively easy to set up, works with Samsung smart tv and surround sound speakers. Has a great sound and multiple speaker setup really sound great. Was priced competitively and I have experienced excellent reliability when purchasing Sony products.

Love the bluetooth and USB capabilities. Pass through is also good. Lots of power!
