    If I just had one prime I’d use this lens. Very cinematic and auto focus is more reliable than even the g master at half the cost.

    This small super light weight detachable sony lens, is pricey but the f1.8 is great for when i use this in low light places.

    The Sony 35mm 1.8 lens is a great all-purpose lens that is perfect for everyday use. I am a hybrid shooter, so I use this lens for both photography and videography. The image quality is excellent. This lens is also very versatile, performing well in a variety of shooting situations. I highly recommend the Sony 35mm 1.8 lens for anyone looking for a great all-around prime lens to start.

    I’ve used this lens for numbers projects so far. I’ve filmed short videos, longer videos, used it as a face cam lens, and taken photos as well. Its quality is amazing and so is the auto focus it comes with as well. I definitely recommend this lens especially for its price and size.

    If you are beginning to invest in the Sony FE ecosystem, then this lens should be one of your preliminary purchases. Not only is it extremely versatile in the sense that it can be used in both large open spaces and smaller confined ones, but the glass inside of the lens truly amps up the overall quality and sharpness of your image and footage.

    I am so glad I got this lens! It is very sharp, the autofocus is silent and fast. Since I got it it hasn't come out of the camera.

    This lens didn’t leave my camera for a LONG time. I should say 35mm is my favorite i could never get i to loving 50 like you are "supposed to" so i got this as my first nice lens. Worth every penny. This thing is fast and tack sharp. I have a zeiss 2.8 which j love to death because of the size but when I really need top quality this is my go to!

    Before, I had the Sigma 35mm F1.4 for E-Mount. Although I loved that lens, it was very heavy and bulky for walking around town or taking to events. Decided I don't need the wider aperture for 95% of the stuff I'm taking. Sony did absolutely wonderful on this lens. It's very sharp and fast while being very compact and portable. 35mm is my most used focal length, and I love being able to use this lens without getting tired.

    We use this for portraits and it does well trying to get more info a shot in a small space or for a toddler on the run! Sharp images and light weight.

    So far in my limited use of this lens it seems to focus very fast and has great sharpness and details. I have recently switched over to Sony mirrorless after many years of Nikon, so we’ll see how this plays out in time.

    I've owned this lens and currently own the 35mm G Master lens. If you are looking for a 35mm lens for predominantly autofocus video work, this is the best 35mm sony makes. You can't go wrong with this lens. It truly has very good optics.

    Lens came in perfect time and it takes amazing pictures. Read a lot of reviews that said this lens was great and they were right. I have not taken this lens off since I got it. I have this one and the 85mm lens in my camera bag now.
