Sony Bravia recommendation

This was my first smart tv purchase with 4K capability. I tell you, I was floored when I saw the clear vibrant colors and pictures. It does take some time to set up when you first plug it in, but after that, it’s simple to use and operate. It comes with four hdmi ports and a digital cable port. You cannot connect conventional speakers to the tv, so if you want a good sound, you will want to pick up a soundbar. It’s a perfect size for a small room. Low price but big return. Highly recommend!

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We have larger Sony Bravias in our den and bedroom, so when we needed a smaller TV in the sunroom I gravitated to the Sony. But I had a "deal" on a Samsung so I tried that first. Unfortunately, we connect to a Roku Ultra for all of our TV watching (all streaming) and the Samsung turns on with all of its apps and gets in the way of the Roku screen. We exchanged the Samsung for this TV and we MUCH happier. Very good picture quality out of the box, everything just works.

The picture quality is excellent, of course, and the brightness is fantastic. The sound quality from the speakers is surprisingly good. My only gripe is the operating system gets funky sometimes, freezes or doesn't deliver sound, but nothing some simple troubleshooting can't fix. Overall, a great buy.

Regarding the occasional system freezes or sound issues you mentioned, we recommend restarting the TV by pressing and holding the power button on the remote for 10 seconds. Additionally, please ensure your TV is running the latest software by going to Settings > System > About > System Software update to keep everything running smoothly.

Great picture, good sound and nice size, all for a reasonable price. I was very happy with it. These last couple of weeks it just freezes up and won’t respond to the remote control. I have to unplug the tv and leave it unplugged for a few minutes. Plug it back in and let it reboot itself and it will work fine for a few days. I don’t watch this tv everyday. I will be contacting Beat Buy to see what can be done about it. I’ll update my review once things have been resolved.

Posted .Hi SharonM, thank you for sharing your experience! It's great to hear that you're enjoying the great picture, sound and perfect size of the Sony - BRAVIA 3. However we're truly sorry to hear about the inconvenience you've had with it. We understand how frustrating it must be having to unplug the TV every time that it freezes. Here are some steps you can try to fix this problem:
1- Turn on Simple IP control, you can do this by going to settings > network and internet > home network > IP control > Simple IP control
2- Clear the cache data and free up some space, in settings go to system > storage > internal shared storage > cached data > select clear
3- Make sure the software is up to date by going to settings > system > about > system software update > update your TV software
4- Perform a Factory Data Reset. If the steps above did not resolve the problem, you can try doing a Factory reset, this will delete everything on the TV including any glitch that maybe causing the problem. Select settings > system > about > reset > factory data reset > erase everything

Very nice TV for a good price

I thought it was easy to setup and add all of my devices. I have the Dish Hopper 4, Apple 4K TV, and blu ray player hooked up to it. The TV switches between the inputs easily. I replaced a Sony TV that was 11 years old for this one. I think the speakers were better on the older one but I could always add a soundbar. The picture is very nice and I have no complaints.

This is the first Sony television I bought, and I have not been disappointed. The picture is great. The colors are fabulous and his features are the best I have seen. Best TV Ive ever owned.

Great picture and great sound quality, love the Google TV operating system, it genuinely suprised me because this is my first Sony TV and im never going back to any other brand, also I think the Bravia 3 is as good as the mid range TVs that are twice the price.

We never had any issues with it and it did the trick. We decided to stick with BRAVIA and go with this model. It's been great. Easy to setup, great picture and sound, and no complaints to date.

I wanted a smaller screen that was 4K Dolby vision and this unit filled the bill. It has an excellent picture and decent sound for a flat screen. In a larger room I would recommend using a sound bar with it. Overall, I am very happy with it.

Sony Bravia 43" tv perfect for cabinet space.

This Sony 43" was perfect. Edge to edge screen makes it look larger than it really is. Set up was easy (no cable- all streaming programming). Sharp picture, vibrant colors. Sound is OK but improved significantly using blue tooth to a simple 8" tall cylindrical speaker. Google interface works well with installed and available apps. Included spread legged stands are solid.

Great Next Gen 43 inch TV

Since I live in north Jersey and have a roof antenna, I receive over 100 New York area channels, some of which are now being broadcast in 4K and this TV receives them in glorious clarity. Thought I'd need a sound bar, but TV sound is quite good, as well.

Delivery by BestBuy was excellent and on time. This TV replaces an LG that had a great picture but was difficult to navigate using cable tv. This is much easier. But still a SMART TV.

I specifically wanted a dumb TV because I already have a streaming box that I like. But so many TV manufacturers force smart features on you now. Some even force you to connect then to the Internet before you can use them at all. But I was delighted on set up of this new TV to be given an explicit option to confirm it as either a "smart TV" or a "basic TV"! That's exactly what I was looking for! After selecting the basic option it didn't bug me for WiFi credentials or other information. Perfect! The TV itself is very good. Nice on-screen UI, great picture, great sound. And it's a Sony, so hopefully it will last well.

Great little TV

I was locked into getting nothing larger than a 43" model due to wall space issues where it mounts. As such I expected a reduction in quality versus larger models. Instead, this TV is just further proof that Sony Bravia is hard to beat!
