Love the interface and operating system. Image is outstanding. Apps are easy to navigate and use. Remote control has great "direct to app" buttons. Completely happy with this television.

I specifically bought this TV because of its IPS panel, which offers a much superior viewing angle compared to VA panels. I was not disappointed. I could pretty much look at this TV from any angle, and the colors do not shift one bit. It's highly customizable, so you can adjust the color any way you prefer. The blacks look deep, and if you want a vivd color, you sure can customize it to suit that palette. The CPU is crazy fast. Almost zero lags when using Google TV. The menus are insanely intuitive and easily navigable. The TV can get really bright, though I mostly set it for the lowest brightness setting. The remote control is decent, nothing too techy. It does not have a backlight, though you should learn the remote by feel, so I don't care for a backlit remote. The buttons are plenty, and operate with ease, making it easy to learn the remote by feel. The remote has a mic in it, so you can press and hold a button to speak commands to Googles assistant. The one thing I dislike, is that it comes with Bluetooth 4.2, which is just dumb. Why they didn't have the latest Bluetooth 5.0 installed is beyond me. Listening via Bluetooth is good, but there is an audio delay if listening via a computer connection, which can be fixed by enabling A/V sync, but that setting, when enabled, can cause lag issues using a PC mouse or while gaming. Other than coming with only Bluetooth 4.2, I love everything about the TV. A fantastic deal for $600.

I was wrong. The Samsung’s sound and image quality was not comparable with the 4 year old Sony. So I returned it to Best Buy and got this Sony and wow what a difference. The sound was the biggest difference so if sound matters too you don’t even consider the Samsung. But the image quality of the Sony was also better for $50 more it’s a no brainer.

Good TV but annoying Android Ads

It is just the right size of being not too big but not too small. I like the Android TV support to various apps like Youtube, Netflix, Amazon Video, etc. There is no noticeable lag you typically might get from this model from cheaper hardware specs. Wall mounting this TV was very simple and straightforward. So why the 2 stars off. Android TV use to be the smart platform of choice for me. With recent updates, the TV has basically become a live billboard in your bedroom/living room. As soon as the TV is turned on, the home screen displays a huge banner ad that is approximately 1/3 of the screen real estate. If that was not bad enough, let's say you turn on the TV and walk away to do something as it boots up. You might expect it to just sit idly on the home screen with no sound. Wrong! If the banner ad is a trailer for a movie (ex: Black Widow) and it is in focus, the ad will then play the trailer for the movie with audio. TL;DR: If you wanted to good quality smart TV without ads, consider paying a bit more (I hear the more expensive Sony TVs do not have this problem) or consider a different brand. I'd rather pay an unsubsidized TV price than have a device that displays ads to me every time I turn it on.

One of the only TVs were the width of the stand allows for the use of a smaller table to place it on. Great sound adjustment feature that lets you set the sound to block out a lot of the background noise so you hear voices much clearer. Great selection of apps. Great picture. Highly recommended.

Works really well with charts from my online broker. Text is crisp and the colors look great. It has a dedicated Computer picture setting and I highly recommend the 43" as a trade station monitor. It is only 60hz - so, I doubt it will work for a gaming monitor. When I try to use the Smart TV functions.... it is a beating. Having to sign up with google home to be able to sign in to YouTube is abysmal. I signed in with the wrong account and I can't switch to another account. On my phone's app, I can switch - on the TV? nope. This was my first experience with Android TV, and I can say it really is as bad as everyone says. My LG OLEDs and Samsung TVs offer a vastly superior smart tv experience. If you hooked up an Apple TV to this I am sure it would make the TV a LOT better. In fact, I can't recommend this as a TV without adding the AppleTV (or something similar).

Really, I was looking for an excuse to get a bigger screen. This 43" Sony, while a low end model gives me everything I need in a TV. The picture is beautiful. I like the "slow" and cheaper refresh of 60 Hz, because it provides a cinema look. For audio I use a sound bar. I bought a LG TV, but returned it. I have a 55" Samsung which I like, but this Sony really looks good. I recommend going for it. When I have to replace the larger Samsung, I would like to buy a Sony. They have always performed well.

The picture is pretty good, better than the brand new cheapish LG in the living room. I like the look and design of the remote control, even though half of the buttons (Netflix, Disney+, prime video) are useless for me and it is a bit long. I like it better than the new LG scrolling wheel thing. The software is where I am unhappy with this product. When I turn it “off” for a full day or longer the Wi-Fi disconnects and I have to restart the TV. The TV doesn’t turn all of the way off. When I turn off the surge protector to turn it all of the way off the TV works perfectly fine. Happened 8 times since I bought it. Hopefully Google or Sony is aware of this problem.

FANTASTIC AS A COMPUTER MONITOR

It works great for that. The picture is beautiful and renders my graphics perfectly. When I occasionally use it for television of course it gives be a stunningly beautiful picture. I expected that after comparing them in the store. Setup was easy. The young man who helped me in the store steered me towards this television/monitor. He was very knowledgeable. I had purchased a less expensive 4K television from another retailer but had to return it because it did not work well as a computer monitor at all. Following the Best Buy salesperson's advise got me exactly what I needed to work on every day.
