    Read many reviews and did quite a bit if research for a 43inch TV. Seems like there is a lot more demand for larger screens (50in +) but this is a good TV. Have always purchased the Sony brand and I am happy with this purchase. Went to the Best Buy store to get better look at the item and it was on display. Was going to order online but purchased in the store and carried it home the same day. Set up was fairly easy. I have Directv and had no issues with programming the remote or receiver. Be sure to get a HDMI cable. I was not aware of this cable requirement. Picture is super clear and colors are vibrant. So far so good.Price tag us a bit high but worth it.

    The Sony - 43" Class X80J Series LED 4K UHD Smart Google TV is fantastic. We love the picture and the sound. I also love that the remote has a microphone so that I can have Alexa take actions on my behalf.

    Excellent picture. Right size for a secondary TV in the family room (primary viewing is in a media room). Good history with Sony products. Has been somewhat temperamental in syncing with a Bose Soundtouch Sound Bar. The Bose does not have an ARC connection

    Love this TV. So easy to set-up, pair with remote (which has voice activation), and all the third party apps you could ask for. The only con I could come up with (and I think this is the same of all smart TVs that are not ROKU or do not have a similar device in use) is that when streaming third-party software (Netflix, Prime, etc.,) you can't access closed captions. Otherwise, I love the SONY. Goes to screensaver quickly so I don't worry about it if the TV is left on.

    So after around a month of use I can say this tv is quite the step up from my last unit. The picture quality is very good. The color rendition is better than I expected from a TV in this price range. Enough inputs for my needs and outputs for my soundbar. The setup is process is simple enough, especially if you have any experience setting up previous displays. There are one press shortcuts on the remote for Netflix, YouTube, Prime video and Disney+ in case you have access to those services. Wired and wifi internet connectivity options. There is more as well, but this is getting boring. We are done here.

    We purchased the TV approximately a month ago and it has been flawless since setting it up. Google TV is 99% smooth and easy to use, absolutely no complaints. The built in speakers and faux surround sound are "good enough" where we didn't install a soundbar. Could a sound bar make it better? Definitely but the marginal difference wasn't worth the expense and visual impact to the room.

    This is a good television for the price. Well set up and easy to use. Not the best for picture quality, but perfectly ok and a leader in its class, with the best picture quality TVs costing substantially more!
