Overall, a little disappointing

(It's hard to tell much by the store images, since they jack up the color, brightness, and contrast to unreal levels to make things pop and sell more product. I used to be in consumer electronics ... :-) ) After 3 weeks of viewing streaming video and blu-rays, I am somewhat disappointed. The off-axis image is muddy, loses contrast, and has a slight shift in tonality. And I can't dial in the picture to be nearly as good as the old Panasonic Plasma it replaced. Finally, I get my programming through a Roku box and I have repeatedly programmed the TV to start up and stay on that input. But, it regularly changes back to the Google OS on a different input. Clearly, Google provides the OS and wants to grab everything possibly about what I view to sell to advertisers and maximize ad revenue. It's not a big deal to change inputs, but it is frustrating. and an invasion of privacy - I want to watch the TV, not the other way around!

To make sure your TV runs as smooth as possible, we highly recommend downloading and installing the latest software for the TV. The X85K features 4K at 120Hz signal format via HDMI inputs 3 & 4. Make sure your device is connected to the HDMI 3 or HDMI 4 input on the TV using the supplied Certified Premium HDMI cable that supports speeds of 18 Gbps or more.
In order for the console or BD player (that supports 120Hz) to recognize the 4K 100p/120p capability of the TV, you will need to set the HDMI Signal format of the TV to Enhanced format or Enhanced format (4K120, 8K).
