I have several TV's in my home (mostly Samsung and Sony), and while the Sony TV's show a great picture, they can be a little pricey. I got this one on a great deal.

The sound is goofy for a first few seconds when the set is turned on. Then it settles down. However use caution when connecting to surround sound 5.1 speakers. I bought a new Denon receiver intending to use the Arc/earc connection. The Quick Start directions on the Denon did not work and I had to look for the set up and set up assistant on the Denon remote in order to complete the connection. Plus I had to use the digital optical connection. There is a list on the TV of receivers that can be connected to Arc and my Denon is not one of them. I think this is the problem.

Color is rich and it looks great. Will do 120 hz gaming for the PS5, but only 60hz for the Xbox Series X. Good for watching 4K movies.

This Sony however, has an amazing picture quality that comes close to OLED. Best Buy ran a sale and I couldn't resist. I'm so glad I did. Set up was easy. Audio is decent but I always have my surround sound system on so that's not a real issue. Purchased online for pickup with no issues. All in all, a great purchase of probably the highest quality non OLED TV on the market today!

Has Dolby Vision and Atmos support. Google tv easy to use but I still prefer using my Roku. I use a sound bar so can’t speak to quality of speakers.

Minus 1 star for digital optical audio

Minus one star because the only external audio output is digital optical (as far as I know and based on the product page's Q&A). The setup was easy with instruction screens leading the way, even with the option of syncing cable/satellite TV (if available) so that the remote can conveniently switch to it. You have to make adjustments in the menu to get rid of that annoying motion "smoothing" effect. The Smart TV includes all of the common streaming services with direct Netflix, YouTube, Prime, and Disney+ buttons on the remote. The remote took a bit of time to get used to, as the play/forward/rewind buttons are combined with the arrow buttons, and there's a "123" button to expand on options. The built-in speakers are decent, but external speakers are recommended (again, minus one star for the only option being digital optical). Overall, great TV!

Aside from the Digital Optical out, you can output the audio to your audio system (soundbar, AV receiver, etc.) by connecting it to the HDMI ARC OUT port. Please make sure that your audio system also support HDMI ARC input. Hope this helps!

I don’t think the sound is set up correctly because the sound goes up super loud on the commercials. Im going to talk with someone about the sound issue.
