Set Up is Frustrating
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the 48" TV and think it would have been impossible to do a larger one on my own. The screws that secure the mounts to the base plate are held by Torx head screws! On top of that, they do NOT tighten all the way leaving some wobble. After the TV is on the mounts, you're supposed to put in 4 screws, thankfully Phillips. Two of the screws are so far in that the screws will not stay on the screwdriver, AND, you can't put the screen flat, so, how do you get them in? Next, you have to "type" in your network name and password. Because of the TERRIBLE remote, I tried over and over again to type it all in correctly before it was happy. The same for paid subscriptions. For what the Sony name implies and the price I paid, I feel the remote should be a heck of a lot better than it is. You have to rely on that remote for every little thing with this TV and it should be better than it is. Except for the fact that this is a SMART TV, I feel it really isn't a lot better than the 15 year old Bravia it replaces. What you get for a picture is dependent on what your provider is shipping you. Come on Sony, your remote sucks!

Are you getting 4K resolution when watching movies from other inputs? Make sure to connect the external device (PC) to the HDMI input 3 or 4 using a Premium High Speed HDMI Cable that supports speeds of 18 Gbps or more, and then change the setting to Enhanced format. Dead after 4 years

To fix would be almost $700 and not worth it. Will never buy a Sony again. Will never pay that much for a tv again. Toral waste of momey

It does not get closed captions on most channels and streaming services. The Geek Squad that installed it said I probably need a cable box. I know that is not true because the small relatively inexpensive tv that I bought at Best Buy a few months before this Sony, that I installed myself, gets closed captions and great sound on all the channels and apps I use. I did try help on line and Sony referenced settings I could not find on this model.
