Are you getting 4K resolution when watching movies from other inputs? Make sure to connect the external device (PC) to the HDMI input 3 or 4 using a Premium High Speed HDMI Cable that supports speeds of 18 Gbps or more, and then change the setting to Enhanced format. Dead after 4 years

To fix would be almost $700 and not worth it. Will never buy a Sony again. Will never pay that much for a tv again. Toral waste of momey

It does not get closed captions on most channels and streaming services. The Geek Squad that installed it said I probably need a cable box. I know that is not true because the small relatively inexpensive tv that I bought at Best Buy a few months before this Sony, that I installed myself, gets closed captions and great sound on all the channels and apps I use. I did try help on line and Sony referenced settings I could not find on this model.
