Been exploring menu systems and settings while installing different apps ever since. Nothing like spending five hours with your new tech to learn it off the bat... thank God I had the time to spend on it today to get it all set up like I want. Super happy with my purchase. I was a 'Sony only' fan way back when with audio components, but drifted away over many years. Had BestBuy Advisor come in and look at the space when I was ready to pull the trigger on a new TV (old one is 14 yrs old plasma!). I highly recommend the Advisor service BestBuy offers. I wasn't even thinking of Sony for my new TV, but REALLY HAPPY with the value, performance, and features of this one. Hope it lasts me another 15 years! :)

Really Good TV!

I upgraded from a 2012 plasma, so I was blown away by the sharpness, brightness, and color. It does a pretty good job upscaling 1080p YouTube videos. Any YouTube video less than 1080p doesn’t look super great on this tv, though. The speakers built into the tv are nice. I also am enjoying playing ps5 on this tv (this a90j now has vrr for ps5 as of May 2022) Other notes: I use a Apple TV 4K with it and 4k cable to connect it to get the most out of 4k streaming. Also bought a universal tv stand for it — my original tv cabinet wasn’t wide enough for the tv feet even in “raised sound bar mode” Overall, I am very pleased with this tv!

Replaced a Samsung Plasma with this and there is no comparison! In addition this TV doesn’t put off the heat the Plasma did. The plasma actually effected the temp in our bedroom by 3-4 degrees hotter! Sony Bravia is as good as it gets!

The Sony Rep was in the store and he, along with the Best Buy employees, answered all our question, and gave us excellent product information along with some great tips and ideas. The TV was ordered on a Friday and delivered on the following Monday. We did the setup and were amazed at the excellent picture quality and sound. We've had the TV for two weeks and couldn't be happier with it.

The A90J is now able to perform well in a bright room because of the new heatsink, but watching at night is where it really shines. 4K/HDR/Bluray quality video looks stunning. Colors are life-like and detail is perfectly clear. If you've got the cash to spend, this is the TV to get.

But then I learned of the 2021 OLED A9J. Only concerns were the more reflective screen, as my room has a lot of ambient light & the possibility of burn in with stationary channel logos. Out of the box, best picture I’ve ever experienced, with super contrast and brightness. And so far, no need for a sound bar - the actuators provide the improved voice clarity needed. Highly recommend this TV to anyone considering an OLED and can justify the higher cost.
