The best TV for movies and streaming in 2021

I’m in impressed with how fast and fluid the Google TV runs on this. We have a 2019 Sony and it responds fast, but not smooth like this. Only issue we had was that it would loose connection to WiFi that would require a TV restart in settings. However that issue has seemed to go away after the latest update. My last complaint would be that all 4 HDMI inputs should of been 2.1 given this being Sony’s flagship Master series line.

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great tv but Sony still hasn’t figured out the motion smoothly yet watched aqua man and pacific rim on comparison to my lg CX I just bought and hands down the Sony hdr out of this world but if I have to to be honest here I will pick the lg over the Sony just because I hate when frames seemed stuck then jumps back into the frame to catch up looks like a glitch motion not there yet but if you have the money buy it I did but I would chose the LG cheaper and lg has it figured out with the motion for the money go LG if you want Best HDR a picture go Sony I’m waiting for g1 to drop so I can purchase it and test all 3 at home

I figured that I had better get the latest model because looking at reviews it sounds like Sony fixed all of last years glitches. I have to say that I am very glad that I paid the hefty price tag for this model. So far it performs as promised. It has an amazing picture and sound that seems to come from everywhere. Best Buy’s service has been excellent.

Works great even in a bright room

HE Made a grate choice for a Sanus universal TV stand. Sony 55” A90J picture quality is great and the sound quality from the TV is fantastic. Had a Sony 46” KDL-46XBR9 I bought from Best Buy 18 years ago was grate in its time but it died. The TCON Control Board went bad. It was still a good TV with good picture quality. Best Buy 5201 US-280, Birmingham, AL 35242 is a grate place to buy a TV.

The built-in speakers give surprisingly good sound, so I don’t feel like I need to run right out and buy a sound bar to enjoy my TV. The one issue to be aware of is that you’ll have to do some fiddling with the Motion settings to reduce (though not eliminate) judder when watching 24fps content and this may result in a very small amount of overall brightness being lost.

SONY 55" Bravia XR A90J TV

After doing a lot of research, we decided to go ahead and purchase this one. We have a plasma TV to replace, not going to be easy, we thought. This TV is better than the plasma, and we absolutely loved our plasma. We can't say WOW enough. The colors are beautiful and the fine details are outstanding. In 4k you will be able to see eyebrow hairs. We were surprised to see how bad the makeup was on 80s movie actors. Very expensive but well worth it. Would do it again. We love it.

Beautiful TV, does freeze up occasionally

The screen is beautiful, extremely clear. But, occasionally I think because there is so much being processed in the Operating System, the TV freezes. The only way to jump start it again, is to unplug/replug. We love the TV otherwise.

I had no problem programing the TV using the remote, It is nice to have a backlit remote so you can see what you are doing in a dark room. The functions on the remote are easy to use. The sound from the built in speakers is very good. If you're looking for the best OLED TV I believe this is the one.

Awesome picture and what I expected from buying the high-end of the 55". I really like the extra little things from the stands to the cable organizers. Finally, the remote comes with all the bells and whistles. Love the back lit buttons. We use it in our Master Bedroom. Makes it great just using one remote. I did add a SONOS sound bar after we wall mounted. Worth the investment if you want a quality experience.

Sony Bravia poor sound with sound bar

I would NOT recommend the Sony Bravia TV if you plan to use a soundbar.. the words do not synch up to the speech. This is very noticeable and very frustrating. I have had Best Buy team over two or three times and was suggested it's the cable box or I need to buy a new sound bar. I purchased all new high quality HDMI cables (for ARC/eARC), to no avail, I had xfinity replace the cable box three times and no change. I switched to optical output to no avail. Built in TV speakers track the speech but as soon as Sony tries to switch to external sound bar, the sound does not follow the person speaking. Our large screen Toshiba TV worked flawlessly.

The A90J tv is perfect for movies and streaming and if you're a gamer its definitely good for that unless gaming is your primary use; LG and Samsung seem better in this arena.

However, we're sorry to hear the pairing issues that you are experiencing with your HTS350 soundbar when connected to the TV. Allow us to help troubleshoot the problem. Please make sure that your TV has the latest software update as it includes key features, applications, bug fixes, and feature improvements. If your TV keeps disconnecting from the soundbar via Bluetooth connection, bring the TV close to the Bar Speaker. Remove any obstacle between the Bar Speaker and the TV or move the Bar Speaker away from the obstacle.
