In the month that I have had this TV, I have not come across any drawbacks. The Google TV interface works great. The picture and sound are by far and away the best I have ever owned. I can't wait to finally get my ps5 so I can check out what UHD blu-ray can do. 4k streaming through netflix and apple tv has been great. Using the TV as a center speaker in a surround system is very easy and spectacular.

Good but not the Best

Maybe they should make their own panels vs using LG’s. FYI, I own both the Sony and LG OLEDs

Home Theater Sales Process

Normally when I decide to make a purchase I do as much research as I can. So I will still have about 50 questions remaining. Ulises approached me and ask how he could assist. We went into the Magnolia Room and I proceeded to ask my questions. He answered all of them graciously. I made the purchase-Sony OLED Master Series. He was so positive and knowledgeable about Best Buy products I even bought the Total Tech! I have resisted this from the beginning. Back when it was first introduced it was not the program it is today. I had a lot of questions about that, which were all answered. The program has evolved for the better! Phone contact is great and even I made a purchase (at a later date) and there was a discount for Total Tech members. At this point I have no concerns about the Total Tech program. The reason I ended up in the Fairfield store was a suggestion from a sales associate from the store closer to my home. They stated I was asking questions about high end TVs and they only had low end models. While I did not like the inconvenience of driving to FF, I’m glad I did. A big part of getting anything new (car, tv, furniture, etc) is the buying experience. Ulises has a respectful demeanor about himself and is quite the salesperson without being pushy. All good! Just wanted to share a positive buying experience with you. I have been a customer for quite a while and this is the way Best Buy used to be all the time. Keep up the good work!

One note: if you connect a 4K device to the television, you have to specifically enable the hdmi port for 4K images in the settings or you won’t get the full effect.

The clarity and detail are stunning. This TV does require an ability to work through a complex menu and adjust various different screen viewing setting to optimize the picture. This TV is bright and you probably will turn down the brightness. The eARC does output Dolby Atmos and the sound through a decent home theater system is impressive.

Mechanically, the unit is well designed, carefully manufactured, and packaged to survive the trip. The software/operating system is an improvement over our previous TV (Samsung). The menu's are easier to navigate and it doesn't lose internet connectivity like the prior TV.
