Trouble is at least weekly tv crashings when trying go from one program into another, (like from Hulu to Paramount), the tv freezes. We have to unplug and restart to continue watching. It’s not our 5G internet provider as we have 1T of internet power. In fact as I write this, a speed test shows our download speed is 806 Mbps and upload is 710 Mbps. I gave it 4 stars, however because I’ve never seen a better picture quality. To be fare, I’ve had other tv’s struggle with streaming but not crash as often as my Bravia. I’ve been told that all tv manufacturers put in the cheapest processors to keep their prices down. It’s just disappointing that Sony tends to be more expensive but seems to have inferior connectivity systems.

This replaced my Hisense U8H which had some terrible banding that eventually drove me to upgrade to oled. Sony seems to have much better processing capabilities when it comes to motion, upscaling, and handling those fine gradients from dark to light. The colors ajd HDR highlights are plenty bright and makes all content look incredible. I use this with my PS5 and game mode looks very colorful and crisp with very low latency. Definitely a worthwhile set especially with being on sale.

Amazing Smart TV

I have struggled with other tvs to switch between the two functions but not on this TV!!! The picture quality is amazing and worth the cost! Also, every app I wanted is available, including Apple+, Disney+, Max, Prime, YouTube, Hulu, ESPN and Netflix! I strongly recommend this TV.

Colors, blacks, HDR all look fantastic (finally no banding) it does not matter if Streaming, RTX3080 or PS5. Image is simply amazing. Sound is also a step above our old TV. Purchased the Sony Wireless Neckband Speaker, for when my wife is reading (works perfectly with the TV) First TV purchase from BestBuy and now I will only buy from them. Great price, local delivery company was fantastic and Geek Squad was the best extended protection available. Great experience.

Literally Perfect

To anyone considering this TV, I can assure you it is the finest, clearest, best picture quality period. I consider the brightness exceptional and I was watching shows/movies yesterday of anything I could think of that had a high level of detail (Star Trek Discovery looks amazing). This TV will be mainly connected to my PS5 and I purchased a very high end cobalt HDMI 2.1 cable. I am a big tech guy and when I was picking this up at BestBuy last night, I had told the associate that I can't remember being this excited to buy a piece of technology in years. The expectations I had for this TV were sky high and it delivered. I really don't know how it would be possible to beat this picture quality in future TVs.

The picture quality is truly impressive in many ways my review wont be helpful with, but the thing that is absolutely blowing me away is the sound quality from the tv. I have zero reason to purchase a soundbar, even though i know it would help, im more than thrilled by the sound quality. Great job Sony!

The setup was relatively easy but the directions dont explain that you can attach the legs in 2 different ways, 1 sits your tv on the table top which was not ideal. There is essentially no frame on this tv which is impressive. I love that this tv works with our google home! The controls to turn on the tv i find a little difficult havent quite figured it out yet so maybe not for someone non tech savy who is easily frustrated.

Iut of the bix picture quality is beautiful. There was no beed to calibrate. Onboard sound will outpace any 2.0 sound bar. One of the neat features is the ability to wire into an existing surround sound setup as your center channel - ensuring vocals for movies and tv come directly from the screen as intended. Tv was shipped and installed by Geek Squad without a hitch. Would higjly recommend.

Second Sony Bravia - customers for life!

We leave the tv on for the dog when we aren’t home so it’s on all the time. Even with all that had we had amazing quality until the end so when it was on sale we knew immediately we would get another if it was reasonable. Best Buy had them on sale for under $1000 for 55 inch which is a steal. Highly recommend especially with the newer soundbars!

Only thing i can complain about is mounting this because its definitely something you'll want to take care of but with two people or someone else installing theres nothing but great high quality imagery. TLDR if you've been looking for something great that won't break the bank take a chance on this tv rather than a newer model.

I looked at the SONY A80J and it too, was very nice. Finally, I looked at the SONY A90J and it was ... BREATHTAKING! I spent way more for this than I planned on but after having it for about a month now I don't regret have spent the money at all. The picture is wonderful beyond words. The internal sound, so good that I wasn't in a complete rush to get my soundbar hooked up. The backlit remote is super-nice, setup was a breeze and I simply could not be happier with my purchase!! This is one of those purchases that will make you cry a little when you pay for it but then you'll weep tears of joy every time you use it - it's really THAT good! If you can afford it, don't think twice! Stop reading this and go buy it - you'll be exceedingly happy that you did!! * Special shout out to my local Best Buy team for their patience, knowledge and help with this purchase. They did an excellent job of guiding me through this purchase!!!
