The product was exactly as described and I would definitely say is better than the XBR 900F. The picture quality is immaculate. The picture quality is on par with the OLED series with out the deeper blacks. However it makes this up in color saturation and brightness. 9/10 I would highly recommend it if you have the money.

The picture quality is quite impressive, and this even goes for cable/satellite, but as with any compressed video cable or satellite still won't be absolutely perfect; however, on hd material with the right calibration settings it is very close. Gaming and movies are clear and crisp and full of awesome colors. Something like an oled may be better, but for the price of this product it can't be beat.

Best Tv Purchase of my life. Great clarity, Fine tune capabilities and even sounds ok without having purchased Sonos sound bar. You will not be disappointed if you purchase this TV. After all, Sony Cameras are used for most 4k movie shoots. I think they know what they are doing guys.

This is my 3rd Sony 4K TV. Neither of my others have HDR because they came out before HDR was a standard, they both still look great but this TV is brighter and sharper when viewing high quality 4K source material. I buy 4K Blu Rays with HDR and am very impressed with the results. I am very happy with this TV, just don't expect it to solve the inherent issues that come with lesser quality non 4K source material.

Sony XBR55X930E is an excellent TV overall but not without its faults (well, nobody is perfect). It produces very good picture and black levels. The best thing about it is its up-scaling engine that produces almost 4K-like picture from a good HD signal. That fact, its excellent up-scaling engine, was the biggest factor in my decision to buy it. And after owing this TV for a bit over a month I concur with many positive reviews on it.
Now, it is not all roses there as I am sure other reviewers mentioned that this TV is not the best for side viewing and if you are watching TV from an angle I would advise to look elsewhere. The picture loses some color and sharpness from about 20-25 degrees but it does not get worse at more steeper angles. That shift is not much noticeable in a store where the TV runs on a (bright) 4K-demo-loop but once you bring it home and calibrate it and watch cable yep, you'll notice it.
In the short time since I bought it, there has already been an update to its Android operating system that addressed the biggest complaint of not having picture/settings split screen when adjusting TV settings. So, it is all good there.
And overall, despite the complains about viewing angle, I am pretty pleased with my purchase.

I chose this TV over a QLED due to the fact that I've always been a Sony fan and that this TV is supposed to be slightly brighter. I am happy with my purchase. This is my first 4K TV. Games look incredible using the XBOX One X. I've been using the TV speakers for the time being since I need to upgrade my receiver for 4k. I have no complaints on the sound quality of the speakers. The room that it sits in is fairly small, and I sit approximately 10-12 feet from the screen. It is very sleek looking. I would recommend this TV, as I am impressed with the picture quality. Check out Planet Earth 2 on 4K blu ray!

I am not going to lie, this TV is like fresh churned butter! It puts my 4K Samsung to shame and that’s a nice set. The only thing that beats the 1080p part of the 930e is my 8 series plasma. Apart from that this TV is anything you can ask for. I had the 900e and exchanged it for the 930e and have no regrets.
Now for the bad. As good as the picture is it’s still not as smooth as the plasma but it comes pretty darn close. Here is why I gave it 4 stars. For a TV that was initially advertised heavily as having Dolby Vision it does not have a 12 but screen. It’s my mistake I did not know much about TV panels until after I bought it. The x1 extreme chip allows it to produce a Dolby Vision like picture rather than a native Dolby Vision picture and that for me is not honest. This is where I think Sony misleads people. Apart from that you will not go wrong with this set. I can say this and the 900e are the best sets I have used this year.

I spent about 6 months researching what TV to buy. I originally planned on getting a Samsung MU8000 series because I got get a larger screen for a lower or equal price. I decided to go for quality rather than screen size and I have no regrets.
The colors are Vivid and the picture is bright. Blacks are detailed and the TV has great contrast. I've been playing Battlefield 1 on a PS4 Pro to showcase the TV's HDR function and the picture is noticeably better than my 2015 Vizio without HDR. The input lag is low and the quality is great. My friends have all been amazed by the picture quality and my girlfriend who kept saying "You don't need a new TV" was blown away.
I am thrilled with this new set. If you're thinking about buying a TV now, get this one. Don't go with OLED. With the burn-in issues and questionable reliability it's just not there yet.

Did not want to spend 2 grand on an OLED, so got the next best thing. after weeks of research decided on the X930E. Extremely bright TV, with amazing black levels as well. Sports, Video games, and HDR all look amazing. Best picture you can get without breaking the bank for an OLED. This TV also supports Dolby Vision which also looks amazing. The build quality is 5 stars. TV is very heavy and well built. Also the smart features are amazing with built in google assistant voice commands. Sound is well above average. I have a smaller living room and this puts off a full vibrant sound, so much that I dont feel I really need a sound bar. Would highly recommend this TV. Best LED picture I have ever seen

I could have spent slightly more and bought a Samsung with a few extra features, but that would have been a waste for my family’s needs. We renovated our home and added a large living room and were concerned about the sound and size of the TV needed for the room. Most flat panel TVs - as you know if you’re doing any basic research - have terrible built in speakers. And, many TVs have slow refresh rates (make sure to check out the refresh rate before you buy) so allow for annoying blurring as objects move. The sound on this TV is perfect - comprehendable at low volume (no muffling) and crisp at higher volumes (no distortion). I liked the look of some of the Samsung TVs, I own a couple of Vizio’s from the only one good year they had (reviewed by Consumer Reports), but I kept returning to the idea that I owned an old Sony Trinitron XBR from 2000-2015 without issue. Sound quality last, picture was great, but it was just too heavy to move again. I think I be a Sony loyalist after all. One suggestion to Sony: Vizio offered a fully illuminated QWERTY keyboard on the back of its remote. Would love to see that feature on a Sony remote in the future.

After alot of research and viewing many different TV;s it became apparent that last years Sony X930E is this year's best deal. The current x900 my have a slight edge in motion handling but the X930E wins in every other category. Best black levels I have seen on a LCD TV. This TV was a flagship unit last year and cost about $2500 only 10 months ago. They are on sale and the price competitive TVs do not offer a picture that is even close to this. You are getting a light cannon of a TV that has blacks that rival the early OLED units. Once adjusted this will leave your jaw on the floor. Head and shoulders over the Q6 and Q7 as well as the x900 and for less money. No regrets here.

I did much research on a perfect TV. I am a little OCD about things like this and spent many weeks looking over forums/review sites/talking with friends. The brightness is the best I have seen. Not like hurt the eyes bright but HDR bright which really show off the colors. The black level is very good and the blooming is minimal. This is the best TV I have owned and I own the 34xbr9600 which is widely considered the best consumer CRT ever made. This was a $3K tv when it came out. It's a steal at $1100. Don't pass this deal up because once they are gone that's it. Also this is edge-lite but very different then normal edge-lite TVs. It rates better then 900e or 900f full array for it's black levels and is also brighter. The 900f is better for motion so keep that in mind if sports is the main use.

Just had my 55" 930E delivered, setup and hung by the Geek Squad. They did a nice job on installing very professional.
The picture quality in absolutely amazing. I'm coming from a 55" Samsung that's 9 years old. Difference is night and day.
This TV is in a very bright family room with a lot of windows and I'm not getting any glare. I'm very pleased with everything now.
I have a BoseSound Bar that I'm not sure I'm even going to connect it because so far I don't have any problems with the sound from the speakers. It looks great hanging on the wall.
One thing I will add somewhere I read a question posed about if this TV had an adapter brick. Three people responded and said no it didn't have one. I'm here to tell you this TV DOES have an external power adapter (brick).
They just zip tied it to the back of the set. I will probably be relocating the adapter because its placement does interfere with the TV being able to tilt it downward as much as it should. This is due to my cables and power supply come out from behind the wall near where the adapter happens to be. Should be an easy fix to find somewhere else to zip tie the adapter to the back of the set.
So far I have 0 complaints.
I had to resubmit my review because my first review didn't indicate "verified purchase". This review now shows Purchase Verified. Still love this TV.

The picture on this TV far exceeded my expectations. The brightness and resolution using a satellite TV input is great. The sound seems to come from the entire front of TV not just one side. I love the cable management system on the back of the TV. I would highly recommend this TV.
