We actually bought this TV for our bedroom and we have not been disappointed by doing so. My wife and I like to watch a good movie or show while we are kicking back and chilling in our room. This TV was the perfect addition to our bedroom wall. We were cautious we might have gone too big...but it was just the right size for our space. This TV actually has a soundbar built into it behind the screen panel which allows us great spatial sound (I'm an audiophile) without having to use a soundbar. This fact is why we went Sony instead of Samsung... hands down a much better and stronger speaker system on the Sony with tons of customization (i.e. great EQ and room-calibration)

This TV has a spectacular picture, as you might expect. But the big surprise is the sound. Most flat screen TVs have really marginal sound, because you can't get much of a speaker in that thin cabinet. This TV's screen is so thin, you couldn't get any speaker in there. So they put stereo speakers in the screen itself, with the glass acting as a sounding board. The sound is much better than I expected. I'm not gonna get thundering bass, but the fidelity and the range are excellent. Good enough for some purposes. And all the built-in apps may mean I won't need any boxes attached. I played Pandora on it and it worked great. I'm really happy with this purchase.

This an awesome TV with such great colors and contrast. There’s very little difference between A8G and A9G in terms of performance but the price difference more than makes up for it.

I waited a long time to buy this TV. I always knew I was going to get a 65” Sony, but with frequent new models it was hard to make a choice. Finally, the A8F came out and I was sold. However, by the time I decided to make the purchase, the model was replaced by the A8G. $3000 was a lot to pay, but it went on sale for $2500, and now it’s in my living room! Outstanding picture quality, excellent audio, and a lot of great features!!

I had to replace a excellent quality plasma tv. I knew OLED was closest thing to plasma. Not disappointed with quality of picture. Just the price is still much higher than LED

Coming from an excellent Panasonic Plasma TV, other than it was not a "pre smart" unit. The picture quality of this Bravia is wonderful and, although I did pair it with a Sonos soundbar, the audio component of this unit is very good without a soundbar. Depending upon its intended use and room environment, a purchaser may want to first try the audio of just the TV without committing to a soundbar. Be aware that SONY has partnered with Google and its android applications so any other devices do not work quite so seamlessly, although this is certainty not a reason to not get this Bravia product.

I thought my Panasonic plasma was as good as it could get and for a long time that was true. Now it's a Sony OLED, in my opinion. There are many online reviews and comparisons with their plus and minus comments that have to be digested by the individual to decide which characteristics are most important to the buyer. Mine have all been met with this unit. Not cheap, would love to have gotten it for less, but I don't regret my choice. I don't think anyone could.

This replaced a Samsung LED with a dead pixel that really wasn't that old. After reading and studying reviews for a long time I chose to go with Sony. Samsung has let me down a few times now and I am moving away from their products. I am glad I chose to go with Sony. Incredibly clear, you can see details beyond belief. Functionality is good. I am not a Google assistant fan so I won't give any feedback on that functionality. Setup was easy, took a little time to figure out how to get around the functions, little bit of a learning curve but nothing to difficult for someone technically savvy.

I absolutely LOVE our Sony XBR65A8G! The picture quality is darn near perfect, if not perfect all the way! Its sound quality, too, is absolutely impressive, especially considering the thinness of the TV. I have it hooked up to a Sony amp with Def Tech surround speakers. But, honestly speaking, that hook up truly seems like overkill in our moderately-sozed loving room, considering the sound that comes straight out of this TV. I love using this TV and am supremely happy with this purchase. The only reason I didn't give it a full 5 stars was because my first unit was defective and, out of nowhere, 2 months after purchase, it completely died on us. However, Sony's customer service was excellent and, after a return procedure, they exchanged it for a brand new one with no problem whatsoever. The guys who delivered it also ended up mounting it back on the wall for us. So, my faith in the quality/durability of it is a little tarnished, hence the 4 stars. Otherwise, though, it would be a full 5 stars!

I’ve only owned this TV for a month. So far this has been a great TV. Colors are very vivid. While this is a great TV I’m not sure it’s enough of an upgrade from a regular 4K HD LED to warrant an extra 1000 dollars or so. I will withhold further judgement until I can test it further.

1 star loss due to not being future proof for gaming in higher frame rates, this TV will only do 4k 60hz while newer TV models are getting 4k 120hz. That being said if gaming isn't your thing and you just want an amazing picture quality for movies and other media this will be the TV to get
