Price, based on a bundled package, and picture quality. The A80K was only marginally more expensive that the LG and it came bundled with a Sony HT-A5000 5.1.2 sound bar. And the picture quality is is outstanding.

I bought this TV because I was tired of being embarrassed when I had people over to watch on the big screen and the action scenes get too pixilated. That was a lower model Sony. I switched to this one when the price point fell into my comfort zone. Love this one. 99% less pixelating(sic)
