A big difference between this Sony 4k OLED and a Sony 4k LED I purchased in 2016. The blacks actually look black. The contrast is amazing. When using with Netflix, the settings have an option to "view as Netflix intended". No need to worry with adjustments.

I noticed it right away since my setup has me sitting 5 feet from the tv at times. It’s known as banding and this is the first oled tv I have encountered with such a horrible amount that it actually darkens the screen more than it should. I was going to keep it, but then noticed the dead subpixel in the same area- meaning it could be a very faulty panel in future use. Will definitely be returning to Best Buy when I have a bigger vehicle available and might be going back to a G1 65” which I believe had better features like (being able to change the aspect ratio for any image- using 2 Bluetooth head sets at once- has a better web browser) things that matter. I’m pretty dissatisfied and disappointed in Sony- since I was really happy to pair this with my PS5. Oh well.

What you may be seeing is one or more of the greater than 2,000,000 dots that make up the composition of your LCD or OLED screen. These dots (also known as pixels) may appear red, green, blue, white or black. High-precision technology is used to manufacture LCD and OLED displays to maintain a high standard of operation. However, with all LCD/OLED screens, regardless of manufacturer, there may be a small number of dots that do not change color. This is normal operation for LCD and OLED screens for all manufacturers. Most defects are only noticeable when an all-white or all-black picture is displayed and shouldn't be noticeable under normal operation. Because a defective pixel or pixels is normal on all LCD or OLED screens, there's a high chance that a replacement screen may also have them. It's possible that the replacement could have more defective pixels or the pixels may appear in a more noticeable position.

The ATSC-3 tuner takes a few seconds to lock but it works. Also when scanning channels if it picks up the ATSC-3 channel it skips the other digital channel. You have to add it into your channel list in the setup menu. This may not be important to most people.
