Crisp, vibrant images without the high cost

Looks attractive hung up on the wall without the high cost of a lot of thinner TV's. It's a beautiful product from a reliable brand. Sound quality is great too. We got a sound system, but even without, no complains.

The picture is phenomenal, menu system is user friendly and all around a major upgrade. The Google play store is a lot nicer than Samsungs system also. The knock I have is with the sound but that’s with any tv basically. I use a soundbar anyways so not an issue for me.

On the remote control, press the Quick Settings (spanner or gear) button.
Select Settings → Display & Sound → your desired option (e.g., Picture & Sound or Sound).

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had a Sony about eight years ago and it was one of the ones that are like over four or $5000 and it broke within 18 months after that I was upset about spending that much on a TV and it breaking so for the past eight years, I’ve been buying cheaper TV, saying oh well, they just break anyways.  Vizio TV broke within one year of the purchase. The screen just turned black on us and I said forget this I’m going for a better quality TV and of course this time I’m getting the purchase plan.  the picture quality on the TV is great. We purchased a sound bar and I am just happy with Sony overall.

Excellent TV

Really noticed the difference, especially in a living room with a ceiling light over the TV. Most darker scenes with shadows were not an issue, with apps and videos loading fast and no crashes as of yet.

An okay TV but I'd go for an OLED or better

The upscale feature is nice if you're into older films, but the processor that EVERYONE brags about and uses as their selling point is not that noticeable for the average viewer. The factory cinema settings appear flat and dull and vivid blows out all the colors and contrast . I have found if you can go in and tweak all the picture settings yourself, then you can get a fairly respectable clear crisp picture. However considering the price and all the praise that this set gets, I found that it isn't all that much better than my 7 year Samsung LED. I was actually on the verge of returning it when I realized I waited a day too late to make my decision.

A title new TV

Great TV/Great Value

It's not mini led but does just as well. Does a great job upgrading sdr. Got the tv on sale at Best Buy for $1100-great price for a Sony. Movies in IMAX are a little darker than expected but that may be how the movies are made. Sound quality from the TV speakers is alright. Unfortunately, Sony does not have a good selection of soundbars in the midrange so had to purchase one from another company.
