Great TV

Brightness is great, Sony as usual has their upscaling too notch and motion as well. A little bit of dirty screen effect, especially in the corners and when watching hockey. Great for gaming. I also have an x950 h and their is not a huge difference between the two. Highly recommend this tv.

The LCD screen is made with high-precision technology to achieve a high level of performance and picture quality. To achieve this level of performance, the backlight setting of the TV is set to maximize the screen brightness. However, you may notice uneven brightness on the TV when watching in a dark environment or when the screen is blank. This condition is normal and not a malfunction of the TV.
If you should find this affects your enjoyment, here are few adjustments that you can do to minimize this condition:
-Reduce the Backlight Level in the Picture Settings menu.
-Turn the Light Sensor setting to On in the Setup menu.
-Change the Power Saving setting to Low or High in the Setup menu.
-Set the Picture Mode to Standard in the Settings menu.

Excellent TV with many options

Getting it set up for my preferences took a while but I dont miss anything from my Samsung TV and I really liked that as well. This Google TV is app driven and for me, there are plenty of apps to choose from. I am also a Direct TV subscriber and while I can watch live TV via the DTC app, I haven't been able to view what is recorded on my DVR. We have 2 different DTC recorders it cant seem to see anything recorded. I dont think that is the TVs fault.

Sony is always Sony

I liked Sony OLED but it is too contrast with so deep black that it would hurt my eyes (my eyes are tired in the end of the working day from constant exposure to computer excel chats and the like).

My boyfriend is hard of hearing and I love that it has the ability to choose if you would like the sound to focus more on dialoug to hear voices clearly. The cinema setting sound options are amazing too. Definitely recommend.

I've always heard good things about Sony TV's and now I know why. Love the Bravia Core as well as an added bonus. Will forever buy Sony from now on. I have mine paired with a Vizio sound bar and sub woofer but the audio from the TV is great quality for just being TV speakers
