Why is google tv on this Sony tv?

Unfortunately, it comes with google tv imbedded in its software and it’s not easily removed. Had the geek squad install it and all was ok. Could operate it with one remote. Power was lost and now need two remotes to operate. Trying to contact geek squad now.

Thank you for the 5-star rating! We're glad you like your new X90L TV. However, we're sorry to hear if the Google TV OS did not live up to your expectations. The X90L Google TV includes Basic TV mode. You can choose the "set up BASIC TV" option at the start of the initial setup if you want to skip the Google TV set up. However, this setup does remove some functionality like installing apps, services and features that require signing into your Google Account, and Google Assistant.
