    Replaced a Sony tv that was only one year old and quit , with this tv and I bought it on Jan17 , on feb 25 sound quit on it , so I unplugged it then plugged back in now it won’t come on at all. Right red flashing lights, called Sony said there was no reset for it probably a bad board. Going to store today to talk to store manger and see about getting replacement. So two Sony tvs quit in 13 month period . Sony used to be my go to on electronics , but there quality is definitely not what I’m used to.

    Gray clouds - SONY TV

    After owning this TV FOR 1 YEAR a gray clouding appears on different spots on the screen when in use. SONY support diagnosed it and said it was DUST INSIDE the screen. They had no remedy for this and would not cover it under warranty.

    underwhelming, expensive tv that I unfortunately bought because of Sony’s name. Tv suffers from blooming and doesn’t stay connected to the WiFi

    Terrible for Video Games/Panning shots

    For what I paid, I should have chosen the cheaper TV. This Full Array screen has so much clouding, uneven greys, like weirdness in skies and panning shots. I've seen people call it a dirty screen, I don't know what it's called, but panning shots and video games are non playable on this. It's a mess. Technically the TV is operating, but it is NOT a clean picture when it comes to clear skies and a moving shot. Any video game you rotate, it pans the video and you see the smudgey uneven splotchy brightness in the background. I've tried every setting, everything I could feasably do and it's not better. Everything else about the tv is okay, the software is not laggy.

    This is the second TV that was delivered due to problems and again this one is not working correctly the tv screen will turn black with just color line down the left side but you can still hear the voices on the tv

      Hi ElizabethS, we're truly sorry to hear about the experience you've had with the Sony - 65" Class BRAVIA XR X90L. We understand how frustrating this situation must be especially after having it experienced in two TVs already. We'd like to share some steps and things you can try:
      1- Verify the source where the issue is happening, it's important to know if this is happening while you're watching any streaming app or external device like a cable box to isolate the problem
      2- Perform a restart on your TV when you experience the black screen, using the Sony remote you can press and hold down the power button for 5 seconds and select restart
      3- Make sure your TV has the latest Firmware update v6.7612. You can check this by going to Settings > help and feedback > help. The version is displayed on the bottom left hand corner of the screen
      4- If the software is not up to date, you can update it by selecting settings > system > about > system software update > update the TV software

    I own Samsung everything and went out of my comfort zone to purchase this sony. I turn it on the day I purchased it and 1 week later after returning from vacation. The tv cut off and would not power back on. 3 red blinking lights. It was returned and traded for a Samsung. Do not purchase this tv

    Worked great for 4 days, then had the same problem the 2 other sony's had. No picture just a line to the right side of the tv. Done with Sony, bought a TCL

    Sales staff confirmed I could use digital optical cable for my hearing aid transmitter while TV sound is playing through Sonos speaker, as it does on my 2019 85” Bravia. Not so! Geek Squad couldn’t help, told me to call Sony. Sony says can’t be done. Now what?

The good thing about this model is that allows you to customize the sound settings to your preference, and we'd like to share with you some steps that can help:
      Using your Sony remote you can access settings > display and sound > sound. From the different options you'll see you can select either:
      "Sound Mode" which is a feature that allows users to optimize audio settings based on their viewing content and personal preferences, you can select modes like Dialog (Enhances human voices), Cinema (Optimizes surround sound), Music (Produces a dynamic and clearer sound), Dolby Audio ( Outputs sound processed by Dolby Acoustic Technology).
      "Sound Customization" Gives you more control over the surround sound and effects, also with the Equalizer you can increase the highs, mids and bass
      "Volume Level" increases the volume of the current input.

    Stunning!!!

    I bought the 75 inch Sony X90L and coming from a TCL 6 series and a Hisense u8h that both went bad after a little over a year. I finally had enough with these budget TV's and bought the Sony. I set it up turned it on and all I can say is WOW!! For the price the picture and colors on this TV cannot be beat. Could have went with an OLED but after reading about possible burn in issues leaving the TV on I went with this model because of all the great reviews. We stream everything especially Youtube TV and with my past TV's the image was grainy looking on many channels. The Sony brand is known for its color and processing lowbit rate programs right out of the box. I went to old programs like Friends and Seinfeld to see if the picture was any better and it blew me away with the clarity and beautiful colors. Yeah, I am sure the OLED tv's have a better picture but looking at this TV it can't be thousands better. Went on Youtube and looked at some 4k videos and again was absolutely blown away by the picture and the fact there was no judder or delays while panning. I did Google the rtings calibration settings for this tv and they were spot on. Now for sports...We watch a lot of football and this thing is absolutely amazing watching the games. The colors and motion handling blew my Hisense tv's and TCL tv's out of the water. I know I am hyping this TV quite a bit but I have learned from reading and watching reviews and on hand experience that a brand like Sony...Samsung or LG is the way to go when purchasing a tv for quality and reliability. Don't be put off by this TV being LCD full array backlighting because in my opinion its equal to the mini led tv's that are priced higher and the picture is no better. Last thing I will say is get an extended warranty. I didn't get an extended warranty on my TCL and when it went black screen a little after a year TCL told me since it was out of warranty I was out of luck. Really stand behind their tv's!!! Watch the review on Digital Trends about this tv on Youtube and many others and you will easily make the choice for this one!

    Sony will not display Paramount+ programs

    The best mid-range TV money can buy

    I was in the market for a nee living room TV. I wanted something with good picture quality and was willing to spend good money, but didn’t want to spend thousands on the best OLED. I searched and searched for the best TV to fit my needs. I looked at all of the major brands to include Samsung, LG, and Sony. I took the plunge on the Sony X90L on a great Black Friday sell and it was the best decision I could have made. The abundance of festures and settings allowed me to set the picture just right. The quality of movies and TV shows is outstanding, escpecially at this pricepoint. The BraviaCore app included with the TV habe many movies in amazing 4K and IMAX quality. I dint even want to go to the movie theater anymore, this TV creates a better experience! Bottom line BUY THIS TV.

    Sony 65" 90L GREAT TV!.

    Sony 65" BRAVIA XR X90L Great TV! I went with Full Array and not with the OLED because as an international photographer I know the brighter something is the more contrast will be lost. That being say the Sony 90L is bright without loss of contrast. Sound is good for a TV but awesome with by Marshall Stanmore ii speaker. I do not use sound bars because they do not last as long as speaker(s) and for me speaker(s) sounds better than sound bar. Best Buy in Aberdeen, NC is great. Great helpers. I went to Best Buy in Fayetteville, NC three times. About 30 mins to 40 mins each time. Could not get no help so I went to door greeter and told him I need help. He stopped eating for a few seconds and said OK in a smart way. I now know Best Buy in Aberdeen, NC is the place to go for help.
