    TV is great, love Sony. Disappointed to find out the best buy points never showed up and after going through support notified there is a change where only credited if used BB credit card. That's a sneaky change.

    This is the sorriest TV I think I have ever owned. I can’t seem to get much to work right on it. It won’t let me sign in at all and I am putting the correct passcode in. I downloaded an app and watched about an hour and a half of 3-30 minute shows, and then went to buffering and the screen turned black, and now every time I open that particular app, the screen stays black, but doesn’t buffer anymore. I don’t understand why the app worked before, but it doesn’t now. I hooked up a DVD player to it, put in a disc, turned on the DVD player, pressed the input button on the TV remote control like I’m supposed to, and nothing happened. As far as I’m concerned these app TV’s are absolutely worthless and useless in my opinion and experience of them, and I would not recommend them to anyone. I have had nothing but trouble with this thing ever since the Best Buy Geek Squad set it up for me and not too much works properly on it. I’ve hooked the accessories up properly and can’t get it to show up on the TV at all. I sign in correctly and it won’t let me sign in. I just have to say, these app TV’s are really sorry in my honest opinion. I even had a Best Buy supervisor to print me off some instructions on how to operate and navigate the thing and that’s not even enough.

      For App & Buffering Issues:

      1. Power Cycle the TV: To clear out any temporary software glitches, please restart your TV by unplugging it from the power outlet for two minutes, and then plug it back in.

      2. Check Network Strength: If an app starts buffering, the Wi-Fi signal may be weak. Please confirm your TV is connected and getting 'excellent' strength by navigating to Settings > Network and Internet.

      3. Update TV Software: Ensure your TV has the latest updates for stability by selecting Settings > System > About > System software update.

      4. Clear App Cache & Data: Since the app used to work, clearing its stored data often resolves the issue. Go to Settings > Apps > Search for the app > Select it, then look for Clear Data and Clear Cache, and press OK.

      For Input Selection (DVD Player):

      The correct way to switch to your DVD player is crucial:

      - Press the Input button on your Sony remote control (the button typically has a TV icon with an arrow pointing to the right).

      - A list of inputs will appear on the screen. You must then use the directional pad to select the specific HDMI port your DVD player is plugged into (e.g., HDMI 1, HDMI 2) and press the OK button to switch the screen over.

      We recommend carefully double-checking your password entry. Most sign-in issues are resolved by ensuring you are respecting the exact capitalization, lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols of your password or user ID.

    Beware- From a loyal Sony customer

    I only buy Sony TV's ( I am almost 60) so I am sad to report that this has been a nightmare. My TV's sound is out of sync with the people talking on the screen. I have a sound bar; I have tried all the fixes and trouble shooting supplied by Sony on their site; nothing has worked long term. Meaning after restarting it's better for awhile but continues to get out of sync again. Finally, I give up and go to my old Sony in my bedroom. My long relationship with Sony is over.

    Amazing product, Sony did very well with the ease to set up and how fast the computer software is. Impressive sound, was debating on sound board but in a small room the sound is great. Display is bright and but the google tv is amazing and way better than a lot of other tv software.

    The Bravia 8B is an exceptional TV! Best OLED in terms of the quality at this price point. The XR processing on this TV makes you see every single detail that was missing before. I’m happy to have Dolby vision and paired with the Sony Bravia Theater Bars, I now have an IMAX level TV setup in my living room. It truly is a perfect TV and a game changer. My son does gaming and mentions how perfect the 120hz refresh rate is while he games. This TV is worth the investment for the whole family!

    in anticipation of the 2026 World Cup I wanted to upgrade my TV to a larger OLED. I was steered to buy a popular Samsung version but was completely dissatisfied with the "smart" features that conflicted with the free apps offered by Spectrum, my cable provider. Fortunately I was able to replace it at no charge. Very happy with the product and service.

    I think it’s still a great oled tv, even though I believe the brightness settings could be better. I have it set at the highest level and still the picture is a little too dark.

    Best Buy is a garbage dump

    I bought a very expensive Sony TV Best Buy was supposed to set it up. They didn’t the TV would turn off it random all the time Best Buy did not want to give me all my money back. They wanted to keep the delivery fee for something that they delivered that was defective and a piece of junk. That’s how I feel about Best Buy. It’s not Best Buy. It’s garbage by they don’t stand behind their stuff. it’s a sad state of affairs.
