    Amazing 4K Television

I did a lot of research before purchasing the Sony XBR75X910C. A sales representative named Brad who works at the Best Buy in Roseville, California told me to stay away from curved tv's due to glare. He showed me the Sony XBR65X900 in the store. I told him that model has light bleed issues based off the reviews from the Best Buy website and comments I've seen in other forums. One of the tv's in the Magnolia actually had a light bleed problem and I pointed it out to Brad. He never noticed it because he stares at tv's all day long which is understandable. Brad gave me his cell phone information as I pondered the tv I had wanted to purchase. After a few more days of research I learned Sony made a 75 inch model of the tv Brad had shown me. All the reviews for the XBR75X910C were superb and no customers complained about light bleed. This model is still super thin like the X900 but has thicker bezel since its a larger sized tv. I assume this maybe the reason why there are no light bleed issues with the 75 inch X910C models. After deciding upon this tv and a ZVOX soundbar I contacted Brad at Best Buy. I arranged a time to see him so I could place an order for my television and a soundbar to be delivered from their warehouse. I absolutely love this television set. I'm watching Thanksgiving Day football with it as I type my review. The Android TV operating system is smooth as butter and it's very intuitive. I've seen some reviews for other tv's where people complain about the time it takes for a tv to update or turn on. I have a dual band router so my new tv is setup on my 5GHZ network. If you want your tv to update quickly use a 5GHZ router. The 2.4GHZ spectrum is usually slower and you can run into more interference in regard to download speeds. Anyway I haven't experienced any problems with boot up time, updating the software, or the user friendly software. When you turn on the tv it will walk you through the steps for setting everything up. My experience with my new Sony is 10/10 stars. My only problem was with the delivery service from Best Buy. They did not bother to call me the day before to confirm delivery. I had to call them. My appointment was scheduled between 12-2 PM. After 2 PM I had to call Best Buy in order for them to track down their driver. After they tracked him down he actually called to say he would arrive in 25 minutes. He should have called before 2 PM in my opinion since he was going to be late. Best Buy gave me a $25 gift certificate due to him being late. When the delivery men arrived they dropped off the tv and was about to leave opposed to opening the box and ensuring it actually worked. I told them to please place the tv on the stand. I am a pretty strong guy and lifting a 75 lb tv isn't a problem for me. However, the tv is about 68 inches in length and my arms only span to about 60 inches. This tv is a two person job and there was no way I would attempt to lift it myself. If I pay for a $5,000 tv I expect the best delivery service and setup for my money. I love my tv and I appreciate the gift certificate from Best Buy. But I may have to use another retailer for any electronics I buy in the future like the new Microsoft Surface Book. Note: The delivery men did haul away my 27 inch Hitachi from 1998 for me though. I was going to give them my 27 inch Sony Trinitron from 2002, but it's always good to have a Sony product as a backup because you'll probably never need to use it! I purchased this TV to replace a failing 65” 1080i RPTV from Hitachi that was 12 years old, so you can imagine the difference in the picture. WOW! The 4K picture was stunning. Even though this is edge lit, it still offers very uniform lighting across the screen and I’m impressed with the deep blacks it displays. It also suffer no motion blur at the factory setting and there is no ghosting that I can see. The only issue I have with this TV is the fact that it seems to suffer some odd shapes in the picture during large, light colored images. It’s hard to describe, but it’s similar to minor odd shaped banding. It appears as a slightly darker arc in the upper right portion of the screen and also several other odd shaped bands in the lower right. They only appear during certain screen shots, which are usually light in color. It’s possible it could be a cable or receiver issue (Onkyo TX-NR809) as the cable goes from the source, through the receiver via HDMI (in & out) to the TV. I will try some changes to see if I can get it to go away. If it does, I will upgrade this TV to 5 stars. If not, I might consider exchanging it as $5,000 for a 75” TV isn’t cheap. I still recommend it though as this issue is not that noticeable most of the time.

Had a Samsung 9500 4k and this Sony is far and above in picture as well as sound. Very little motion blur with sports and black background is a true color. Great TV.

Was originally looking at replacing my 10 yr old high end Samsung tv with another Samsung. After looking at all the options available, reading reviews, and doing general product research, I ended up going with the Sony. Geek Squad professionally installed the set and the techs were very helpful and professional. After having the tv now for about a month, I'm not at all disappointed with my decision. Picture is amazing and all the features and apps are easily accessible and easy to use.

Always planned to buy a big screen for the longest and this one does not dissapoint. It might be on the high end prices, but took advantage of financing with Best Buy and it has been totally worth it. The only reason I gave it four stars instead of 5, was because of the mounting bracket, that although included, does not come with screws! Became an issue when I paid for mounting and the installation guy had to stop and make a hardware store run. Once mounted on the wall it is tough to get to the HDMI, USB connections. Would recommend it as the best in the market though after extensive research.

i know there is a newer model of this television the 75x940d, but that being said the 910c is every bit as good as the new model. the picture quality on this set is amazing. i had two other 70 inch tv's in my home and sold one to upgrade to this set . i have no regrets, the HDR and 4K make the screen come to life. and the black levels and their detail are like nothing i have ever seen before. i know the OLED tv's have better blacks but this set is 10 inches bigger for the same money. and i have a very bright room with lots of sunlight and this set has no problem dealing with that unlike the OLED's. i also plan to game a lot on this set and sony handles that better than all others as well. the last point i want to make is my sales person was second to none. Melanie is the best sales person i have ever dealt with and that is saying a lot. i was in sales for over ten years and have been an audio video junkie for far more time than that so i have dealt with a ton of sales people. if you are ever in the downriver area she is the best person to see to help you with almost anything in the store!!!!!

I've been back and forth between the x850c and the 910c for a long time, and it took a while to actually get to see the latter in the store. Of course I was worried about the x900c problems, but once I saw this thing in action it was safe to say it had none of those issues. The construction of the panel itself is very different from the x900 models (mainly the fact that it is NOT an IPS panel). I've spoken with a Sony district rep who informed me that this particular panel is made specific to sony standards. The best way I can put it is that it is some sort of VA / IPS hybrid. On one hand, off angle viewing is excellent! On the other, it has INCREDIBLY deep blacks that you simply can't get with an IPS panel. With the x910c sitting next to the x850c in the store, the x910 blew the other away in brightness, black level, and overall clarity. While it doesn't have the local dimming and full array control of the higher sony models, it definitely has a brighter panel like the two. For those interested in picture settings, allow me to give my two cents. While calibration is better, it doesn't work for everyone. It's up to you to decide if you want that benefit. I myself am very happy with my settings. Brightness at 35, Sharpness at 50, Reality Creation at no more than 20, and no motion control above standard mode. I also prefer the Cinema Pro mode versus anything else (Vivid and even Standard mode are simply too harsh and produce glaring amounts of added noise). This tv doesn't really need any additional enhancements like that to knock your socks off. While the Android system isn't perfect and can hang up now and again, it's not that bad of an issue to take away from how in love with this tv I am. Thankfully Sony is always on top of their issues, sending out updates when needed that put things back on track. Long story short: this tv is definitely worth the investment. Black levels and uniformity are excellent, no light bleeding whatsoever, and an upscaling engine that simply can't be beat. Sony remains a brand that's hard to beat.

I have a special designed wall cabinet, with a black back-ground to place the 75" tv. This TV is so sleek that, with the black back-ground, it looks like is part of the wall. Looks really great! And, the image, it IS a 4K after-all !! Best I have ever seen, at least..... Just make sure that all cables connecting to a receiver, or any device, is also a HD cable. It does make a difference! Particularly if you are investing this much on such a high-quality TV.

Absolutely no complaints about my 55" Sony SXRD but it was time to upgrade from projection to 4K. Last year we had our eye on the 850B and with OLED emerging had been agonizing which way to go. Now it was time and the wife was on board! Best Buy had a 65" 900C and a 65" LG OLED displayed right next to each other. We could have gone either way. Honestly, I know OLED is the latest tech, but we liked the picture quality of the Sony better and for the same price purchased the 75" 910C. I love this thing! It is so thin, hangs on the wall like a big picture and the picture quality is fantastic. We upgraded our Denon receiver at the same time and have significantly enhanced our movie experience. Geek Squad install is a must, they were pros and did a great job running the cables through the wall.

Delivery was good. However make sure you pay for geek squad if you want TV mounted on wall. Reads like they help install with regular purchase, but they don't. Tv comes with own mounting bracket and parts. Doesn't fit universal mounts like I already had on the wall. Only thing that was a little odd getting done by myself from the way it has been for years. Otherwise, tv has been great. Love the picture and the sound isn't bad either for such a slim tv.

I waited for 3 months for this TV after i saw the 55 inch model in the store. It was not as thin as that model but I understand why due to the size. I had Geek Squad come out and mount the TV and WOW!!!! streamed 4K from you tube was AMAZING! then watched a blue ray movie...AMAZING! Cartoons for the kids...AMAZING!!! I love this TV. Very glad I waited.

I love the operating system of this TV. Being able to download Android apps right to the TV is so cool. Not only that but I can cast other apps that are on my phone right to the TV. The mount for the TV is included, but is a bit cheap in my option. I wish they designed it better. It works and keeps the profile super slim, but I had to use toggle bolts and go directly into the drywall. Luckily the TV is not that heavy and it seems sturdy. I would of been better if they designed a mount that could be installed onto the studs of the wall. As for picture quality it looks great, but I have not had much 4K content to watch. Overall I am very pleased with the purchase.

Got this late Dec 2015. it was big, but it fits my Sienna. We purposely look for the lightweight version, so it does not becoming a big burden for my wall. We are satisfied with the performance in general. If you have a big living room, you would consider getting this one. You'll be happy.
