This is hands down the best TV I have ever owned. While OLED TVs are not as bright as LED TVs, this Sony is plenty bright and vibrant. The black are insanely deep and inky. With letterboxed programming the bars just blend into the bezel. The picture setting are very accurate out of the box, only a few mild tweaks and they were dialed in. I own the 48” LG C1 in my office and it is a great TV and was on the fence with getting the 77” C1 or the 80J. The sales guy recommended the Sony and I’m glad I listened to him.

EXCELLENT 77” OLED EXPERIENCE

I exchanged the 65” Sony A90J OLED for this 77” A80J. While yes, the A90J is brighter, this A80J is no slouch and the size difference makes up for the difference in brightness. The experience you get from a 77” OLED is out of this world. If you want the cinema experience, get the largest OLED you can. Don’t sacrifice size for PQ when it comes to OLED. I can only imagine what that 83” A90J will be like. Breathtaking at the least. But it will also be very unaffordable for most. This 77” A80J should be a huge seller. Sony knocked it out of the park for 2021.

This TV is life changing. Best TV I have ever owned and worth the money. Surprisingly lighter than I expected when installing it up on the wall. Bought the Sony HT-ST5000 to go along with it. That I will be taking back and getting the Bose 700 Bar, Sub and rear speakers instead. The Sony dose not have the strength to fill a large room like my old Bose system and the upward firing speakers on 12’ ceilings were none exciting. As far as the TV I recommend getting this as the brightest 77” and best picture until the A90J hits the stores.

Fantastic TV, 4k picture quality is outstanding recent Sony price drop made this a relative bargain for its size and features Sony has outdone itself yes the 90J may be a bit brighter but not worth the price difference in my opinion you can't go wrong with this TV

Spent more money on this TV than several 85" TVs was looking at- and it was worth it. The TV has the most beautiful colors, when you see it next to all the others in the display room, its very noticeable how much better the picture looks. Great for both movies and video games.

Great product! Sony quality! And... at a great price point. Picture really “pops” when streaming. Sports look great too! Overall, very pleased with this purchase, this OLED certainly met my expectations. Really enjoying the 77 in.

Hands down the most amazing Tv I’ve ever owned. Everything about it makes me want to replace all my other sets with Sony OLEDS, if your on the fence don’t be, it’s absolutely worth the money. We had the LG 86” LCD for a week and had to trade up, worth the time and money for sure

I wanted an 85" Smart TV, but at the time that I went to Best Buy to purchase a TV, they had none in stock. The salesman showed me that there wasn't much of a difference between this 77" TV and the 85" that I was looking for. Overall, this is a much higher quality TV than what I was originally looking to purchase. I am very satisfied with this purchase.

Had to replace Bravia 85X91J 85 " as it was defective. And was worried that same issue would be with same TV so upgraded to oled. Best price feature set was this one. Install was easy but as I use ROKU ULTRA also from best buy with Nakamichi Shockwaffe both with hdcp 2.2 and HDMI 2.1 the google software is not being used. For this purpose TV is perfect as best interface and the best picture you can buy.

Amazing Picture. 4K blu ray disks rock the house. Never planned on spending this much but if it lasts certainly worth the $$. From Mason the Salesman to Michael the installer all went great. Only thing I've noticed that is a bit annoying is that the screen is very reflective, similar to a mirror. Windows during the day even with blinds closed or bright lights at night show up on the screen.

Sony TVs look the best in the darkest environment possible, so it's a good idea to turn off all lighting sources if you really want the best viewing experience. For best picture quality, we do not recommend exposing the screen to direct illumination or sunlight and installing the TV in a room with a reflective wall and floor materials. You can always adjust the picture and brightness setting of the TV for any glare concerns.

We have an open floor plan with 9 windows and I was a little worried about some glare/reflection as we don’t use lights during the day. We have very little, barely noticeable reflection as you can see with the picture. As with every Sony XR tv the picture is flawless and no picture blurring. It’s an awesome tv.

I was going to buy the LG CX at first. LG had a huge display in the store and looked very impressive. On a whim I walked over to the Sony and right away realized how bleached out the colors were on the LG. Just reading the specs doesn't give the full picture. This tv is beautiful. And oMG these tv speakers are a level up from previous modles.

Died just after a year (4 blinking red lights). Im not sure why this is rated so highly as this issue is all over Reddit and google. Sony Support's recommendation was to purchase a new $3k TV. -When it worked it provided a Gorgeous image quality but I have 10 year old LEDs with more reliability.

I super LOVE the picture and sound quality of this TV, it’s spectacular ! I would definitely recommend this TV to anybody that wants to buy a new TV. There is a glare in a bright room but it’s not a deal breaker for me since i have a blackout curtains. It is just An AMAZING TV!

Lives up to the hype. Did all the research, read many reviews then went to see the Sony Bravia A80J in person an was amazed. I’m not truly impressed very often, but I was with this purchase. Brilliant color, clarity and sound. When spending deep into your budget you want the best for your money and I believe I got that. Would Recommend !!

This is an absolutely amazing TV. This is my second Sony TV and they he a really nailed everything. The user interface, picture quality, ease of setup and esthetics. I've owned various Samsung, LG, Vizio and Sony is better in every aspect. Watching true 4k content is amazing on this TV.

This TV is probably one of the best ones out there you can get. Sleek design from the ultra thin panel, to the stand which has different positions. (Would never personally change it, but ability to.) Great display in dark room. One thing I have not seen reviewed on here is the price. I followed this tvs price since about November of 2021. It’s been at 3,000$ from then until around April it dropped to 2799$. (What I payed) Cheapest it ever went on Best Buy was 2599$ for about 3 days I believe. The listed price now is 3499$. (Past few months) Not sure why it has jumped up to what I believe is full original price. But if your looking to buy this tv, I would jump on at 2599-2899$ It does go on sale from time to time. Lately, it drops to 3000$ for the sale price. Hopefully this review gives a synopsis of what the fair value is and not to overpay. It is expensive, but at the end of the day, buying other lower quality tv brands will never last and look absolutely terrible. Sony delivers on quality and you can feel good displaying this Sony tv.
