After endless research and the help of knowledgeable Best Buy associates we decided to purchase the Sony X850F. We've only had this TV a month and a half so we are still learning to navigate the menu and the remote control. The initial set up was easy. Just follow instructions on the screen with the remote. The remote has a built in Google Assistant which performs tasks by voice command. The remote also has built in Netflix and Google Play buttons. Although we haven't seen a 4K resolution movie yet picture quality has been excellent. It's big, bright, vivid, clear, and crisp. Watching sports has been great! Maybe I can do an updated review after we have had this TV for a while. Looking forward to watching a 4K resolution movie with our home theater......

Nice size. Picture quality is great for everything except sports, I notice some blurring while watching football, and basketball, but it's nothing significant seeing as how sports isn't the main reason I bought the T.V. Maybe over time, and after calibration that'll sort itself out. Overall I'm very happy with my purchase.

I’ve always wanted a massive tv and I got it. I love everything about it. Make sure that u have room for it. Because it’s bigger then u think.

I couldn’t be more happier with my TV. The color and the clarity of the screen are breath taken. My movie experience is like being in the theater.

Got my tv today and started setup. Have been watching a gray screen and spinning blue toilet bowl for 20 minutes now. Tech support no help, said to wait 30 minutes and if no change call back. VERY disappointed. Not what I expect for a $3000 tv. SO NOT impressed!!

The picture is amazing. Clear, brilliant colors make you feel like you are right there in the middle of what you are looking at. We love the clarity of this TV. Would definitely recommend this!

A 100 lb. TV was a little challenging to put on the wall but worth all the effort, Clear beautiful picture, UHD HDR is as real as its gets, sound is good for a TV but even better hooked to my 10.1 surround system. the 85" Sony picture quality is a much better choice over the 82" offered by the completion. The Sony 85" Bravia XBR smart TV will make your home theatre experience awesome. you will smile all day long.

I did a lot of searching and reading before deciding to pull the trigger on this TV. We were looking at the similar sizes by the other manufacturers, and one was a close competitor... but the Sony won out on black levels, contrast, and vivid colors. The 85" is a beast... don't even think about mounting it on a wall without some help. We put a wall mount up, and it was all my wife and I could do to lift it up and hang it on the mount... a third set of hands would have made it much easier! Once it was mounted and connected to the rest of the system and dialed in, we kicked back to watch a movie... and it is worlds ahead of the Mitsubishi 73" DLP we have! Even with just DirecTV or a regular Blu-Ray, the picture is sharp and vivid... but throw in a 4K movie and be prepared to be blown away. There were moments in "A Star is Born" where the concert spotlights would get aimed at the cameras, and it nearly felt like the real thing and I had to squint... it was THAT bright! I can't believe at just how dark the screen can get, either. The contrast between the light and dark is really, really good. Movies like Aquaman, Avengers - Infinity War, Deadpool (I & II) and even Marry Poppins just look fantastic! My wife is not an audio/video nut like I am, and even she says that this TV is amazing, and she wants us to host movie nights with friends and family now. Bring on the pizza, popcorn, and brews! For the price, it's just a solid TV. Best Buy was having a sale so that made the decision just that much easier! I'd highly recommend this TV if you're in the market and it's within your budget.

I had bought the tv sansung - 75" Class - LED - MU8000 Series - 2160p - Smart - 4K UHD TV with HDR, but it came out with a factory defect that they could never fix. A vertical black line across the entire screen. I decided to try SONY and I don't regret it. The picture quality is superior to Sansung, the sound is perfect and the HDR works very well.

We got the 85” version and are quite happy with it. I tweaked the black levels and brightness a bit to get the picture to my taste. It’s an impressive picture. Every now and then I do notice some of the blacks will be a little washed out on a scene due to the 850F not having local dimming but I knew that going in and was unwilling to pay another $1K for the 900F model. It really doesn’t happen all that often, 95% of the time it’s perfect. I’m planning to use my $1K savings on more home theater fun stuff.

4K HDR is awesome. Even HD looks like 4K. Picture is bright, colors pop, blacks look good, backlighting is even, very good price for the quality.

I wish I would have stuck with Samsung. The remote on this TV is pretty bad. I have to push the buttons more than once for them to register and there is a lag time for the TV to respond even when it gets the signal on the first push. Best Buy installer said he has heard that complaint from other customers. The refresh rate is slow, which appears as smears when there is too much movement on the screen for it to keep up with. Also, major glare on the screen. I'm not sure any TV can prevent this, but it's pretty bad. Picture/color is great though. Factory speakers are impressive as well.

I've been very happy with this soundbar; the quality is excellent and it switches easily between the cast device, cable, and playfi inputs. It's an exceptional value for the price and a nice complement to the Definitive products elsewhere in the house. My only complaint: the remote it comes with is really awful! Its tiny, easily lost, cheaply made, and completely disposable. It's been difficult to get it to work with the TV/cable remote, but we finally figured it out. I highly recommend ditching the remote provided asap and integrating with another remote control.

The TV is super good, great colors, super big I am super happy with, but the remote control is garbage can't take more than one digit to change the channels I can press one one number at the time I can't not press 12 or 123 2 or 3 digits at the time if I want channel 123 I take 1 and you can't go to the chanel. I have to use the control from the cable box. So I recommend the TV not the remote control at all.

Picture is very good, not excellent. Price is reasonable for a Sony of this size. Very functional and easy to use and setup.

Absolutely my favorite. Enen though I have an oled in family room I like this unit better in basement. Shear size, ease of use and enen the picture. Very intuitive for a novice like me. I am casting shows around like nobodys business. Almost all internet with some regular broudcast tv

Stunning 4K HD in an 85" package - just amazing. I know the 900F series has FALD and a better processor, but for me, this is far and away the best picture I've ever seen in my living room. The screen is bright, reflections are well controlled, normal HD picture great and 4K UHD Movies (paired with the Sony UBP X700 UHD player) just blew me away. Deducting one star for the inconsistent and still mysterious andoid TV interface - maybe it'll make more sense after I get used to it, but just seems needlessly convoluted. Otherwise - Go Big and Stay Home! PS: saved 25% off list for Black Friday week - thanks Best Buy!
